Morsy is banned for our game against Huddersfield which makes me nervous.

As insufferable as some of their fans were last season, I really feel sorry for Wednesday now. Latest statement from their owner:

Really hope they get out of this mess and find a new and suitable owner ASAP.

Yeah, that's a disgusting statement.

I'd never want to see PNE under foreign ownership to be honest.

The first 3 paragraphs saying fans can have a view so long as it doesn’t get personal or abusive would have been enough .

2 of our best players in Morsy and Broadhead both out. Hutchinson is a great replacement, but not Lee Evans hopefully we can still get the win.

Not impressed with us so far at all, really missing Morsy and his tenacity.

We take the point. Huddersfield are not a pretty side but have to say they caused us plenty of problems, very few sides in this league will be capable of that this season.

That last 12 minutes was frantic, and Hudds were on life support towards the end, but a draw is probably fair.

Hutchinson by the way... oh my days. Absolute cheat code.

Side note, some Ipswich fans may disagree but I don't think Hladky can be dropped next week despite Walton being fit. He's been getting better and better, and today was his best game by far.

Hladky has been class and also really good with the ball at his feet. Crazy improvement from him. I’m frustrated by today but a point away from home is never a bad thing.

The way things panned out, should be grateful for train strikes preventing me watching Tranmere's demise in S London. Instead, a visit to see my adopted home town take on Ipswich. The game was a good advert for Championship football. Ipswich started the brighter, but the home team gradually got on top, being kept at bay by the excellent Ipswich keeper, who made a number of quality saves. After he was finally beaten early in the second half, there was a spell where the hosts could have extended the lead. However a spate of Huddersfield substitutions made them seem very disjointed and after a series of near misses. Ipswich did force the ball home. The closing ten minutes saw the visitors looking more likely to grab all the points, but Huddersfield hung on for the draw.

I didn't think the gulf between the sides was as big as the current table suggests, though don't watch enough football at this level to assess which team is out of place.

Ipswich fans leaving the ground thought they should have had a couple of penalties. Was unsure about the incident in the first half, but didn't see anything in the second meriting a spot-kick.

Wow, that was bad, West Brom obviously have some quality players (Diangana, Swift, Mowatt, Wallace, etc) but it was a really dire performance from us and they were clinical. We'll probably not have a win in 8 games now, after that good start.

I’d say that’s a fair reflection of the game.

Looking back at the penalty call, it’s a 50/50 situation, some refs would give it, some wouldn’t. Wouldn’t say he was a brilliant ref, pretty inconsistent for both sides.

A draw was probably fair, but lucky at the same time for us. We did get forward and have chances but at the same time, would make sloppy passes. I’ll blame the rain.

Awful start and bad ending.

Getting back to 2-2 was good but we seemed to stop playing after than allowing Boro to press on and get a winner.

I am sure our owners will be getting in touch with other managers if results don't match performances soon enough.

I mean Ismael pretty much blamed himself for the poor team selection and tactics we began with which really won't go down well even if it was honest.

Leicester away on Wednesday, their squad is insane and they seem to have found their groove. A loss is pretty much guaranteed, just hope it's not a heavy one.

Bring Whiteman, Brady, and Keane back into the eleven, we need the experience against this lot.

We’re pretty decent i have to say.

Was never any chance of us going down this year (as 16/1 to be relegated at the start of the year had suggested) but us being as short as 2/1 to win the league on October the 3rd didn’t seem a likely candidate for how our season would go either.

But we are very very good and it’s hard to argue with us not being bang there in the top 3 or 4 the way we play. It’s so good to watch and every week we’re passing our way through teams like a hot knife through butter. That second tonight was borderline sexual.

I still can't quite believe it. After years of misery to finally have this is something I never thought would happen. Because of all the previous misery, I'm not getting carried away yet though. But it has to be said, the way we move the ball is fantastic, we really look like a great team. Let's hope it continues.

Browne and Storey are ill and Hughes is injured. Could be a long night.

First minutes of the season for Cunningham and a first start of the season for Whiteman. Odd looking team.

Game plan was pretty solid until 65 minutes, but one loose ball and they punish us.

Massive gulf in class.

Ipswich away on Saturday, they're flying so would not be unhappy with a point to try and get back on track.

I don't think Lowe will budge from his system despite the last two results, being organised, looking to counter, and making the most of set pieces is definitely our best chance of regularly winning games in this league. We don't have the personnel for a possession game or playing out from the back.

Possibly need to freshen things up with us having 24hrs less to recover.

I'd bring Keane back in, really like the look of Osmajic but he'll need time to adapt. Hoping to see Frokjaer back in the line-up too, McCann and Holmes maybe need a rest. Hopefully Storey and Browne are back fromm illness, but supposedly Hughes is out for 4 weeks (FFS).

Woodman
Storey, Lindsay, Cunningham
Potts, Whiteman, Ledson, Best
Browne, Frokjaer
Keane

3-1 Blues .

Will WBA demand a replay as the first Birmingham goal came from a controversial penalty.

Well we didn't lose at least.

Sounds like we played ok but sloppy moment cost us again.

Least Bayo redeemed himself after a shocking miss.

We move on and all that as our lot like to say!

Weird match yesterday. First half felt like we were back in league one, with a low block and the opposition mostly resorting to hoofing. We looked sloppy but should have been out of sight by half time. A stupid mix up at the back led to them scoring with their only shot on target in the first half.

Second half they made changes and looked like a completely different team. They got a second goal and I started to feel nervous that we might chuck it away. Thankfully we got the next goal which killed the game off.

On another day the score line could have been a lot different as they scored with their only shots on target whereas their keeper made some good saves. I can only assume they were having an off-day as I expected a lot more from a team so high in the league.

Still trying to not get carried away...

We looked a bit leggy, especially for a 25 minute period in the second half. Job done though and now we can recharge in the international break.

geg1992 , we're in a autos race and will continue to be until May - make no mistake. I'm sure one of the likes of Leeds or Southampton will come into the fray, but that gap is already healthy. Title remains Leicesters to lose.

Haven't seen anything of the game yet but not really surprised to see us have this wobble, these tactics aren't really sustainable over a full season. The new foreign signings are still finding their feet and these defensive injuries have come at a bad time considering the opposition.

Lowe needs to earn his wage now and find the right formula. Think we'll know what we're about this season after another 5 or 6 games.

I think Sheff Wednesday may break the record as the worst Championship team in history
I did say this tongue in cheek ....

Rotherham hold that record - 23pts.

Millwall at home on Saturday, 12.30 kick off on Sky. I'm sure everyone will be tuning in over the Merseyside derby.

Gary Rowett has some mad gypsy curse over us and it's a guaranteed loss, his record against us is insane.

Hard to guess a line-up, changes are obviously needed... I don't think Hughes will be back so maybe something like ...

Woodman
Storey, Lindsay, Cunningham
Potts, Browne, Whiteman, Millar
Frokjaer
Osmajic, Keane
