And you call Liverpool fans deluded? You're living in the clouds.
You're saying this wasn't the case? Did you think Liverpool played good, attacking football?

It's everyone that calls you deluded.

Seriously though, I think United fans are in denial that they got Jose Mourinho that almost got Chelsea relegatd instead of the one that won them titles.

What you saw from Mourinho last night is his style of football. Even when he struggled in his initial season Klopp didn't go to other grounds specifically set up to take a point away.

Perhaps he should have, then maybe he wouldn't have finished below your feeder club and West Ham in 8th place.

:hypo:

We had a shit game, its not rocket science. I'm not defending Liverpool's quality last night, we should have broken you down and we were bereft of ideas. But to imply the team or Klopp were happy with the result is stupid.

Nice deflection from the point in question though.
You hardly attempted to break us down and you weren't allowed to leave your half at home for a good bit of the game.

Deflecting from what?

Generally yes. What happened last night was a combination of Mourinho shitting himself at the thought of getting battered playing actual football against us; and we looked leggy and tired and not at our best.

We took the game to you first half but we weren't as fluid and were more cautious as the game moved on.

'leggy and tired'

So were we are our best? No, that had to be down to fatigue, Coutinho/Firmino coming back from South America, Lallana not starting, Wijnaldum injured and Can starting his first game of the season, and also Sturridge being Sturridge. ;)

I'll petition to have the match delayed if you feel your side isn't too tired to play.

Hahaha @ the way Liverpool fans are trying to spin the narrative of the result.

You were the home team. You were the in form team. You were the team playing the expansive free flowing football coming into this game. All we did was avoid the high press by not building play from the back so much, forcing you to attack through the middle when defending by leaving no space on the flanks and tried to counter through the middle - which fair enough didn't come off. Mou mentioned in the interview that we didn't have the penetration he'd hoped for at #10 and was going to move Rashford there to provide that + pace before he cramped up. It's called a game plan. Was we supposed to go toe to toe at your own game? When you're also further along in terms of the team's evolution?

Desperate stuff, really.

Without wishing to get in the way of yet another United-Liverpool willy waving contest, you do have to wonder how long the Man Utd fans will indulge Jose and his style of play. They despised how defensive LVG was, yet have appointed someone who has made a career out of killing the big games with defensive football. It's brought him incredible success no doubt, but if they fail to make the top 4 (a very real possibility) despite spending in excess of £200m yet again, then it would be a tad hypocritical for them to all continue singing his praises.

Personally I'd say that, much like Wenger, Jose has had his peak in management (an incredible peak for sure), but he hasn't really adapted in the last few years. I can't see him winning another Champions League again, let alone with United.

He's been here for two minutes, if he doesn't get results after his honeymoon period then fans will likely want him gone, he's not our boyfriend.

£200m? When? You don't really know what you're on about.

Man Utd had no real attacking intent under LVG, it was just pedestrian possession football, with no risk to open sides up, it was a case of waiting for an opening.

Mourinho may get men behind the ball, but atleast his sides look to attack with intent when they retrieve the ball. It may be a bit overly cautious at times, but it's effective in important games, and has paid off plenty of times down the years.

Love the fact that United have been tagged as being the defensive team when 70% of the match was played in Liverpools half. Just a shame we didn't test Karius more. I didn't think i'd see a keeper worse than Bravo this season but it only took 2 games.

Bit quick to judge keepers though eh? De Gea looked wank in his start at Utd after looking class with Atletico and took him a while to come good. Even Cech had a howler on his Arsenal debut against West Ham last season and he's a premier league veteran.

Maybe if Rodgers did that againt Chelsea you would have won the league. Then you wouldn't have the shame of having a League Cup to show for the past decade.

With the amount of money the Mancs have spent recently, shouldn't they be focused on how to beat teams, not lose against them?

Small club mentality that.

Coming from a club that has spent as much as anyone but still lives on finishing 2nd in the league?

Seriously, shut the fuck up.
