I know it’s probably expected because it’s Sunderland but those numbers to Gillingham for a 600 mile round trip on a Wednesday night are fucking ridiculous.

Some very low followings from us coming up.

Sold very few for Gillingham Saturday and Oxford away (TV/lunchtime) in a few weeks is on a Sunday and is £25. Considering we took 1000 there last week in the Cup, I can't imagine more than 600 going.

Our away attendance at Bristol Rovers a few weeks back was 107
Someone who runs a guess the attendance competition rang the Gas during week to get the figure but all ours for the season so far should be up to date now.

Its been all ticket for away fans for a few years now. Doesn't matter who we are playing. The decision to make it all ticket for away fans was enforced on the club due to the fact that the stand is now shared with home fans. The main issue is health and safety but the club can also plan how much of the stand they can segregate. Demand from home fans to attend games is on the increase yet KR is a small ground with a 10k capacity so very few games make it to pay on the day, even for home fans.
Our fans have got quite used to all ticket arrangements for away games, but perhaps your fans aren't used to it. I thought this was an increasing trend in the modern era. Not one I like personally.

For the SEVEN TRILLIONTH TIME, games are theoretically all ticket for away teams, but, unless they have already sold out, you can phone the Luton ticket office on the morning of the game, order a ticket, and pick it up when you get there.

This was explained quite clearly on the Shrewsbury Official site on the Friday.

May also have been mentioned but we’ve been allocated 1032 at Luton. Is that the absolute maximum and for everyone?

Cheers, going to have to tap someone up then as I’ve got next to no chance of getting one.

Lamby, my good man. You a Valley Gold member by any chance?

Rumour has it we might be moving (see relocation thread). But until then you'll just have to put up with the limitations of KR as we have done since the capacity was slashed. I think we only had 3 away sell outs last season. I'm sure you'll shift your tickets quickly. Been a while since we've played eachother.

Not moaning about the allocation, clubs are entitled to allocate what they want. Was just trying to work out my chances of getting a ticket.

Yeah, we’ll sell that easily. Can’t remember the last time we played each other in a league game. My first game was a 1-0 win against you in 1995. Must have been one of the last times I would have thought.

I know you're not moaning. Just venting my frustration at the lack of action on our planning application. Bit older than you my first away game at the Valley was about 1980ish in the old division two (championship). One of my first ever away games in fact. You still had that enormous terracing although I don't think it was open. Won 3-0. Some Millwall fans came into our end I seem to remember. Other than that don't remember much.

Nope.

MAXIMUM is 1032, which is 10 % of capacity (although strangely sometimes the post match published away figure is slightly higher than that).

BUT, clubs could be given less than that - this depends on discussions between the relevant clubs. I think that Shrewsbury's allocation was 700 odd, which they got nowhere near. I can't imagine that Accrington will be offered much more than one/two blocks when they visit on a Tuesday night!

Cup games are different, opposition gets the whole of the Oak Road, 1900 I think.

Quick search tells me April ‘96. Can’t recall anything that stands out about that game? Was a long time ago now and was only 7.

The 4-4 draw in the Carling Cup is one that certainly stands out.
