Pompey have sold out their allocation at Charlton before going on general sale. Where is best for an away fan to sit? Thanks

Their website is very odd to book tickets! Left as in, looking at the away end from the pitch face on?

In all seriousness, where do you want to be? Close to the Pompey fans?

In that case go West Stand block G, it looks like H is closed off.

All booked, don't tell anyone!

Called up the Pompey ticket office to double check, and they sold 3k on Monday!

You'll be fine there, to be honest you would probably be fine in most of the West, the other end behind the goal and the East stand is probably the only places you would get any hassle. I'll be in Sri Lanka anyway so I don't care but hopefully you won't have any reason to jump up and reveal yourself!

Home many home fans at Blackpool? (as a comparison to our game)

2217 Rovers in a crowd of 5302.
3085 Blackpool fans but I'd be surprised if there was more than 2k.

Where are you getting your Blackpool figures from? This is the second time now you've come up with a smaller away figure for a Blackpool game when the account of both away teams (Wigan and Blackburn) have reported a higher amount?

That knob Oyston probably includes stewards, bar staff and police in the home figure; anything to make it look somewhat respectable to him.

Seasiders Police on twitter, they'd have no reason to make it up.

It's not unusual for teams to not take all they have sold.

We sold 5700 for Preston but given 5,489 in the ground, 3,235 sold for Reading last weekend and POTG, Reading announced 3,055.

I got my figure from Rovers official twitter and Blackpool gazette, both say 5302 (2217)

The only thing I can think is that the Gazette and Rovers used tickets sold in the event of Blackpool not providing a figure, very plausible.

In the grand scheme the disparity will make little difference come May.

Edit Rovers stated 3,500 for Oldham but home club match report states 3,350.

We sold out our allocation of 2,250 so can't be that. Anyway I'll stick with my rule of higher figure applies.

My guess is tickets for the away end that get put aside on the sly by the club for families/friends of players aren’t counted by the police. That’s 90 tickets less than the figure we were told we had been allocated for Blackpool and 79 tickets less than the figure Blackburn were officially allocated. What I want to know is why Blackburn officially got 150 more tickets than we did?

IIRC the front 5 or so rows were netted off for you, for us it was only directly behind the goal where they netted the front off. That might account for the difference.

BTW I think the police figures would be on turnstile clicks as opposed to tickets sold and would be correct due to health and safety.

Then your figures will invariably be incorrect.
Well one of our figures whenever there's a discrepancy will always be incorrect won't they? The higher figure is more likely to contain pay on the gate (if available) and player complimentary tickets, as I've said last time this came up.

I can’t understand why Wigan fans are banging on about how many away tickets they are allocated when they get less than 8k at home

Scunthorpe brought more to Priestfield than Wigan did if it helps, both on Tuesday nights. That's a proper test of your fanbase, not a trip an hour away!

Kettle, meet Pot.
He wanted a bite, I gave it to him. :) Back on topic, 770 odd allocated for AFC Wimbledon. I do hope our support maintains its proud reputation and this makes general sale without any bother because I have a weekend in London all sorted to coincide with the game.
