Sounds promising. Is he left or right sided?

Right. Quick as well apparently, that’s our obvious problem position where we’ve rattled through Rawlinson, Brindley and Macari at various times this season and none have made it their own, so assume he’ll go straight in.

Signed Hakeeb Adelukan on loan from Lincoln
God bless Grant McCann and Doncaster Rovers. What a waste of a three year contract, he's been transfer listed for two of them! We've been desperate to get rid, he wasn't even given a squad number in the summer or go on the pre-season trip.

He pissed Appleton off away at Carlisle in the Cup when he decided to wander off the pitch when the game was going on, on the other side to grab a drink and his man ended up scoring. Kennedy made his mind up early doors but we had to bring him back into the fold and play him up front as a last, last, last resort because no-one else was available and Skubala had to pick up where Kennedy left off but then chose an 18 year old academy kid, who was due to go on loan to Peterborough Sports, to lead the line instead.

No idea how he's managed to play so much at L1 level.

I will say that he's been a credit to himself though because by all accounts he continued to train really well, didn't cause any issues and remained professional. He's just not very good, you'll get 1 performance in 10 out of him, if that.

McCann obviously doesn't have his ear to the ground on player availability - “He’s done well in the first half of the season at Lincoln so we were surprised when we heard he might be available and we acted really quickly."

I only know he signed him when he was at Hull and he played really well for him, might be a player who works well with certain managers, we will have to wait and see

I hope he does well for you. Last 6 months of his contract so we won't be seeing anymore of him here. Bit of a strange one, and in hindsight a baffling decision to give him a 3 year deal on supposedly a wedge and a half.

See Riley Harbottle signed for Colchester on loan, absolutely perfect signing for Notts County if you were not in for him the recruitment department needs a rattle.

We were keeping tabs on him in case O'Riordan was about to leave so I'm surprised he's joined a club in the nether regions of the league.

Did really well for us last season, and being from Forest I’m just surprised County not signed him, good on the ball and can defend would instantly improve their starting eleven.

That same account has a Sunderland to Newcastle transfer on it like that would ever happen too.

Harbottle’s another one that basically makes too much sense for it to happen, similar with Belshaw. Plenty of local links, the sort of player that would fit it in but we have a purely data driven recruitment process that doesn’t seem to take those variables into account.

Enjoy the Jones, Langstaff etc… to Wrexham rumours. Hope they continue, assuming Wrexham fans know it’s nonsense but I like the thought of them getting their hopes up.

The proper fans known its bull, some of the Yanks/Newbies can a bit carried away and take everything as gospel.

I see Jake Young was 'injured' for Bradford again last night.

It's very clear he doesn't want to play for them and it's no suprise after how they basically wanted rid of him sending him out on loan everywhere but as soon as he hits a purple patch with someone else, he is now Bradfords most valuable asset.

Our manager was right to talk about the ridiculous value they put on him after turning our bid down and he is only being honest which is something your current boring dreary manager would never be.

If Jake Young plays one second for us in January we can’t sell him (as in no one would buy him) as he’ll have played for two clubs in one season.

Desperate words from a desperate Simpson. If you can't afford the asking price or not willing to pay the asking price, he should shut his mouth and move on to another target.

Simpson wouldn't sell Moxon for peanuts would he

You're a joke of a club that hold back unsettled players who just want to further their career.

Well it'll be your loss when he leaves on a free after not performing for you when you could have cashed in on him for a reasonable fee.

If Young gets the chance to make more money, good luck to him. I think it's very clear that we sell players below their value and do let them further their career. You made an offer. It wasn't enough.

The 2 club rule is so freaking stupid. Why do it, who does it benefit?
Exactly, if it’s to do with Prem clubs making millions then just exclude them because it doesn’t help EFL clubs or the players

You have no idea what you are talking about.

Why would he leave on a free?; he has another 18 months left on his contract.

We have never held back unsettled players that wanted to leave by the way, but fair play to our CEO for a change, we ain't giving him away.

See you next season.

Okonkwo confirmed as staying with us on loan until end of the season, the recall from Arsenal has passed. If nothing else happens at all in the next week then I'm happy just with that.

How was he for you?
Kind of as you guys explained. One of those players you don't really notice, loves a tackle, works hard, reads the game well etc. Unfortunately he's literally the only defensive midfielder we have so it's going to leave a bit of a hole.

We’ve both turned into Bradford. Useless, uninterested owners. Mind you, I think we are bottom of the pile as it feels we are really close to the brink of imploding.

How did Paul Jewell do as your DoF? It’s a role we’re desperate for IMO and if we ever were to appoint someone (we won’t), would appease many and offer some sort of forward thinking and cohesion, away from the 18 month cycle of hire and fire totally different managers and their doomed to fail unbalanced substandard squads.
Jewell an obvious name given how well he did here/him having done the role at Swindon, like I say it won’t happen.
