Why? You'd think the last thing brought up to Lincoln (and Bradford) fans is a smart arse comments about fire.

The days of the air raid siren being used alongside the fire department are long gone. There's a fire station right next to Sincil Bank. You see them doing their training exercises there most match days.

How is Rhys Browne looking for you? He never really got a fair chance here I don't think and then when his Dad died he wanted to be closer to home so we never really got to see what he could do.

He's promising. Only recently been given much gametime but I like him. There's a big connection between his Dad and us and I think he feels it which it great. I hope we give him a run to see what he can do.

I might not be Carver's no.1 fan but pretty obvious that he wasn't posting about fire with reference to the Bradford fire, he was making a throwaway tongue in cheek comment that was not meant offensively.

Thanks for pointing that out for me Fish because that is exactly what it was, my joke had absolutly nothing to do with the bradford fire, I'm not a sick individual who would joke about something like that.

Just a pair of Lincoln fans twisting my words to make it look like that which in itself is quite concerning.

So Luke Berry has been banned for three matches after a clash with Joe Jacobson last weekend. The incident wasn't spotted by the referee, but by his assessor in the stand who referred the decision to this panel discussed in pre season. The TV angles were inconclusive, but saw enough to charge him. The charge was reluctantly accepted to prevent risking a lengthier ban. Surely if it's inconclusive the player shouldn't be banned?

I watched it happen pretty much, Jacobsen more or less had Berry in a headlock Berry eventually forced himself free and Jacobsen went down as if he'd been shot. The physio made to come into the pitch only for Jacobsen to realise that he'd have to go off the field if that happened and a miraculous recovery in time to defend the free kick that this all happened at.

An embarrassing incident all around really, can't believe he's got banned for sticking up for himself but I guess you can't raise your hands anymore so it's a fair cop. Poor that Jacobsen gets off free though, it's basically the green light for them to continue to try and bait that response from player though. They are doing that constantly at set pieces, remember last year they were trying to rip Hyltons face mask off to get a rise out of him.

I'd like to think a professional footballer getting a fellow professional sent off or suspended in such a way has a modicum of eventual karma coming his way.

Our recent form would suggest we could get something from this but we don't travel well to Newport. They also have Amond (likely to score against us) and Nouble. Looking at his record, he's a shit journeyman but he's become really good all of a sudden. What's happened there?

Despite winning 3 of the last 4, each team we've played have called us quite ordinary. Not sure if that's because we're lucky, sour grapes or Russ has some unseen tactics working in the background. Hoping of course that it's the latter.

There will be a "period of applause" (whatever happened to a minute of silence?) for our former chairman Mike Watson-Challis who died a few weeks ago.

Mike was the chairman who bankrolled our promotion from this level last time in 2002, providing a budget of around £4m when he sold the club a couple of years later. The season before our relegation from (the then) Division 2, he bankrolled a number of expensive and eventually awful signings under Ricky Hill. He also bought the land at M1 J10 for a stadium and he (and his wife) generously sold the land back to the club a year ago for the Newlands Park development for only a very small profit.

Obviously the way it ended, with him selling to a crook, will be difficult for some Luton fans, but there's no doubt he had the club at heart.

Is this also the first instance at League Two level of this 'new' panel?

Minute's applause probably the right call in this instance as there's no guarantee everyone would respect a period of silence for MWC. Had his heart in the right place yes but caused a lot of trouble for the club that we are only just recovering from really. And his wife has been nothing other than a total pain in our collective arse for quite a while. I'll be applauding but I could imagine some not feeling overly inclined to celebrate his contributions.

Before selling the club, he was pouring in £500,000 every MONTH.

I don't like speaking ill of the dead; I'd like to think there would be a warm applause, if not an overwhelming one.

Id argue we have already had our karmic retribution for this as as a result of all these theatrics we stole the game from under their noses!

Despite an encouraging start to the season we have stuttered a little of late. Done well to take 4 points from last 3 games tbh. Injuries to key players has exposed our small squad but hopefully today we should have O'Brien, Labadie, Reynolds and McCoulsky back. Labadie makes the team tick and stops the oppo playing, even though he looks like he could get sent off at any time. If we can get Reynolds wide left it should free up Frank down the middle with Podge - will be our best hope of getting 3 points.
Day
White O'Brien Demetriou Butler
Wilmott Labadie Dolan Reynolds
Amond Nouble
Subs: Bittner Pipe Tozer Bennett Rigg Owen-Evans McCoulsky

A hard fought 3 points at our old enemy Colchester 2-1,pleased for Craig Mackail-Smith to finally break his duck in scoring the winner.

Normal service resumed. Shit defending, no attacking threat, bypassing the midfield with shit hoofball. Don't know what style we're attempting to play.

Amond scored. Who'da thunk it.

we play brilliantly a few weeks ago against Luton at home and only get a point and then play absolutely terrible against Cambridge (then some) and win.

Football is a bizarre mistress

What's the record number of games in a row for conceding goals after 85 mins?

Fucking shocking performance today. Could've been 5/6-1 by the end and you know what? Not once did Crawley actually play through us. It was all through lapses of concentration and shit play in general from us. Awful, awful day out.

Just had a look into this and it says it was whoever played Barnet between October and March 2014/15. All Akinde pens.

Tidy win today. Made hard work of it, could've scored 4 or 5 but didn't put all the chances away first half. Lost count of the blocks and clearances off the line. Grimsby were a bit of a shambles at the back first half, were a bit better second half but worst team I've seen this season. Dembele was disappointing - too easily dispossessed. Overall a good 3 points and on to Crawley and Luton this week.

Wycombe looked half decent today and well organised, but their keeper was MOTM and their time wasting antics were something else - and I thought Chesterfield were shameless last week!

Worrying times though to be fair as with our away record as horrendous as it is, we can't afford to start dropping points at home too. Had enough chances to win two games today though but we seem to need too many to score and we're always prone to a defensive lapse or two each game as well.

Wycombe have been getting away with time wasting for at least the last three years now. As is always the case with time wasters the refs just let them get away with it.

Their goalkeeper started taking the piss as early as the 30th minute after they went 1-0 up, ridiculous.

Well we have beaten the top two at the Ricoh.
Need to sort out our away form and we could be there or thereabouts
