Lots of noise suggesting that Joel Grant is joining Northampton from us. He's out of contract but we've offered him a deal to stay.

If this happens, I won't be too disappointed. He's played superbly this last 2 months but prior to that was very hit and miss. He's your typical inconsistent winger type, and flatters to deceive a fair bit.

Think he's 29 so perhaps he wants one more crack at L1 but I'd be surprised if he played a regular role. He'd have been a squad player for us as we have a far better left winger in Lee Holmes.

€300k is what was rumoured and reported by Cyprus press when he signed but I imagine a large percentage of that is add-ons, don't think either number have been "confirmed" though.
