Going to disagree with the other Wrexham fans on here and say stuff like this just annoys me. Complete nonsense and quite frankly embarrassing.

Fair play, I think some of your fellow fans have been swooned over and that’s embarrassing too quite frankly.

Their fans messageboard is the worst, always talking about signing the best Championship players like Szmodics etc.:lol:

Thinking it's as easy as football manager and they have unlimited funds and as if fair play isn't a thing that matters. Yeah we're Hollywood Wrexham we can buy whoever we want! I'm suprised Mbappe and Messi have not been suggested yet.

Blackpool's owner in trouble for insider trading. Hopefully he gets sent down.

Would love it if that Haythorntwat at Fylde got done to, would make a hat-trick of imprisoned owners for that area

Horrible little club and just a bizarre project in general, they have zero scope for growth. Just a smaller scale Fleetwood.

Fleetwood is a tiny place so that takes some doing!

Kirkham and Wesham have a combined population of about 12,000, halfway between Preston and Blackpool.

Fleetwood is about 28,000.

Aye. A fair investigation and trial seems unlikely over there right now. Chinese government cash grab I reckon. Probably one of many.

Our CEO is leaving. Going back to Burton to take over from her Dad, she isn't too popular here anyway. Apparently Jamie Edwards from Shrewsbury potentially replacing her.

The new sugar daddy is a Georgian (Georgia the country not the US state) based in Kazakhstan (insert Borat jokes here).

It seems like his aim is to turn us into some kind of moneyball academy for developing players in both England and Kazakhstan, and no doubt flog them on for a generous fee.

Except I thought you couldn’t do that any more as I thought the Prem League had a shady contract allowing them to sign any lower league academy players for a pittance - in fact this was why many lower league clubs (incl us) scrapped their academies in the first place?

Anyway, here’s what the man says:

"It was my longing dream to create a world-class professional children's football academy in Kazakhstan and England, where the best and most talented young football players and future stars will be trained. Studying at the academy will be completely free, young athletes will have the opportunity to learn from the best coaches in our country and the homeland of football - England.

Football is a mass and entertainment sport with great potential for improving sportsmanship, and in many countries, football is a source of great pride. I am confident that our football can be taken to a new level using my experience in creating innovative businesses using modern technologies and artificial intelligence. I hope that we will be able to train world-class stars for Kazakhstani football.

The dream of any football academy student is to play in the main team of a football club. Therefore, an academy without a football club has no chance of success. Simply put, you train and improve your skills in the academy, and there is no opportunity to play in the first team of the club. I plan to change it, because the club intends to give opportunities to our graduates, to be a place for them to open the way to big football."

A few red flags there but hopefully nothing too extreme that hinders the club. I always get a bit nervy about things like this where it feels like the owner is essentially using the club for some other purpose, which in this case is to develop Kazakhstan youth players?

As for the shady Premier League contract thing, I won't pretend to be an expert on it but category one academies are allowed to take lower category players for 'compensation'. It's all a bit grim really and we have fallen foul to it many a time. Chelsea are the kings of it, taking a punt on star academy youngsters and if it doesn't work out they can still usually squeeze out some kind of a sale fee. Kasey Palmer as an example. 8 years development at Charlton just to be taken by Chelsea, never play and sold for £4m - we should really also get some kind of sell on %. There's been quite a few more but the latest is James Beadle, looking like a really promising talent, 9 years in our setup :(

It also means we have to sign youngsters to pro contracts before they're ready to stop them being poached.

That sounds like an idea from a man who doesn't understand the pyramid. It's basically impossible to do what he's outlined there.

They'll still use fewer cameras than your Heddlu do when we visit

Only ground we went last season where our fans were filmed by multiple coppers at the station with massive cameras. Weirdly excessive behaviour and a waste of taxpayers money. Football policing needs substantial reform in this country.

Hello.

It's been a while since I posted on this part of the forum. For those who don't remember my nickname is Casey, my real name is Jim.

Just had a great day out at Wembley and for the first time in many years of supporting my bunch of tinpotters I was there when we actually got promoted.

Anyone who watched the game yesterday will have picked up on my hopes and fears for next season. Some lovely crisp inter-passing that can cut through the best defenses allied to some suicidal passing around our defensive areas. We played like that up at Wrexham and they thrashed us 4-1. I expect the league 1 attacks are gleefully rubbing their hands at the thought of playing against us but the defenders may not be looking forward to it quite as much.

8 of the squad yesterday were playing non league football the season before (Maguire our left centre back couldn't make the bench at Chesterfield in the National league!). Add in Orsi, who couldn't get a game at almost relegated Grimsby, Kelly who was relegated at Rochdale and Wright who Gillingham were happy to get off their payroll and Darcy who Swindon didn't want and I think it's fair to say we may need to strengthen if we are to stay in this division. The problem there is I don't think we have a tinpot to piss in.

Enjoy your trips to Crawley try to leave without the points.

Congrats on the win you looked a decent side as I saw in the tinpot cup this season.
All you have to do is make sure you have enough sides below you to stay up, and you may surprise a few like Stevenage did as the bottom half of L1 is pretty shocking.
We were piss poor for much of the season and stayed up pretty comfortably.
