Primark removed a t-shirt from sale this week which was deemed offensive.

I have this one which I love but I'm too conscious to wear in public.

Is it offensive?

Do you have any t-shirts which might be considered offensive?

Stringy - No, your t-shirt isn't offensive at all. It's great actually.

Personally, and I know this may come as a surprise to some of you, the most offensive and disgusting t-shirt I ever saw was a Cradle of Filth one with the words 'Jesus is a c...' emblazoned on the back. I would get it if was Maggie./Corbyn/The fucking Pope is a c*** etc, but Jesus? Really?

Myself, I don't think I have any offensive t-shirts, unless you regard animal rights' ones as offensive, but tbf, I was never a big fan of t-shirts. A rolled up long sleeved shirt is more my thing :cool1:

Why does anyone care about offending anyone anyway? Fucking snowflake generation. Check out some of Paul Joseph Watson's videos if you get the chance. Very interesting.

Slogans on T-shirts are so inane, if someone has a 'message' on their t shirt it's a sure-fire sign that person has zero personality.

What about if you set your avatar on a soccer forum to a cool dude album cover to signal how much cultural capital you have got?
^ This made me piss myself laughing, so meta.
I'm about 56% sure that if you wear a t-shirt with a slogan in the first place then you are actually genetically closer to a sea cucumber than you are a rational and sentient being. As would be the case for anyone who would emotionally read into said slogans. On the most basic of conceptual levels, If the slogan isn't in quotation marks (I imagine this is the case for most...) then it actually bares no relevance to grammatical or logical reality...literally, and physically, meaningless letters on a piece of material. Of course, if the slogan said "I am a c***" then I'd have a problem explaining this one away....because it's agreeable on every level!

I once saw a man wearing a t-shirt with the slogan "I listen to music you've never heard of" emblazoned on it.

I was disgusted and I made that very clear to him by shaking my head in an almost indiscernible manner just seconds after we had moved out of each other's field of vision.

Haha, but I mean we've all heard gabber mate, we all know that's what your slogan wearer was listening to in his, presumed, self-loathing, so why the fuck wear an item of clothing to tell us all about it!? It's the equivalent of going out into public and shouting out everything that you think is wrong with you in people's faces...

I have a t-shirt with "fuck your national identity" on the back, which I sometimes feel self-conscious about wearing but no-one's ever said anything.

I think statements that provoke thought in a relevant environment is aight.

Otherwise, a bit needy imvho. Or trying to force-create a perception. Desperate. Maybe trying to counteract low self-esteem?

Agreed. Low self-esteem is an interesting thought mind... I mean I'd go to the gym or get a new pair of trainers and that is a psychology that I'd hope is relatable to 99% of the world. A t-shirt with a slogan like "Jesus is a c***" or "Liquor in the front, Poker in the rear", amongst all the other countless ones out there; I just can't see how that is going to do anything positive for anyone's self-esteem?

"You're not giving my point of view enough attention *sadface* so put this in your pipe and smoke it!! *uplifted*"

"I get poon hahaha I'm cool *happyface*"

I guess we can call it a 'diversity' of people. :alien:

Jesus, if I knew that all I needed to do was buy a slogan t-shirt to get my point across, I wouldn't bother using the numerous free options available to me for airing my point of view: voting, protesting, conscientiously objecting and discussing my point of view with actual people, self-immolation etc. etc.

As for poon, there's always going to be a cost involved, I accept this.... I mean chloroform doesn't come cheap nowadays... and even this questionable method is less questionable than the psychology of equating poon with buying a sloganeered top.

I am all for a diversity of people in society man, I just feel strongly that gimmicky sloganeered rags should be educated out of it, those people would have more money to spend on making themselves better, I/we wouldn't get irrational rage over letters on clothes and the associated poor life choices, the only ones worse off would be the sloganeers....and let's face it who gives a shit about them!? They'll probably get new jobs as journalists stringing even more low-brow words together about how diversity gives us cancer or something.
