Another tough away game, bit of a bogey ground for us,but with more players available to Stuart McCall to choose from and the positivity around the squad at the moment hopefully we might just Nick this.1-2 Bantams

Always a tough fixture down at Gillingham.

I don't think we've won there since 12/13 season? Gary Jones scored from a corner.

We're slowly getting some bodies back, but I'm not sure if McNulty or Vučkić will start.

Cullen is back from International duty, though.

Doyle

Darby Vincelot KNP Meredith

Law Dieng Cullen Marshall

2-0 City.

Still no Wagstaff or Garmston.
New signing Baily Cargill still not fit.
O'Hara still not 100% ready.
Morris and Martin out for the season.
Dack still only 70% fit on Sunday, before going off with an ice pack on his knee.
We were utter shite on Sunday.
Oh, and I am having a pretty shit day.

Still, we never lose at home to the Bantams (isn't a Bantam like a cock?) 2-1 Gills.

(A bantam is a breed of bird, a 'cock' (*winks to camera*) is a male bird, not a breed). Anyway, I can't add much to the original post, I think an away win is on the cards, I might even stretch to a 2-0 given Gillingham's injury list (and we won there about three years but I get the point)

We do have a big injury list but for the first time in a while we have a big squad too.

Bond
Jackson - Deji - Ehmer - Konchesky
Wright
Byrne - Osadebe
Knott
JET - McDonald
Nelson, Pask, Hessenthaler, Donnelly, Wagstaff, List and Oldaker on the bench.
Should be good enough for a point at least.

6-0 to the Gills, and less than 30 Bradford fans? :fish:

Assuming Dack won't even be fit enough for the bench?

Nah, Edinburgh was suggesting he'd rest him this week and maybe the following as well. He was at about 70% for Sheff Utd - if it means leaving him out for a couple of weeks now to get up to 100% then that's far better for us in the long run than keeping him playing at 70% til January.

Bradford were good vs us, kept the ball well and a much better side than last year.
Still completely lacking a serious goal threat though.

Nice comments mate.

Hopefully the the introduction of McNulty and Vučkić will sort that.

The way we defend you really don't need a serious goal threat.

It's certainly better reading compliments about our style of play rather than being derided for the hoof ball Parkinson played

How's Knott been? Thought he did well to go to a decent L1 side, assumed he would start again somewhere lower down. But if he's getting game time then that's what he needed.

As for the game will be interesting. We were playing pretty much out only fit XI for the start of the season and they've done really well. On paper it's great to have players back but if we make changes to the side it could disrupt things. Glad I'm not the manager.

Steady enough. Considering we have a lot of midfielders he's done well to get a regular spot. As Dack is probably out today he'll probably get his role, in behind the forwards. He's looked best there so far.

Just one change from Millwall,Cullen coming in for the young Devine, but what a strong bench with Hanson,McNulty,Vukic and Morias all back in.Lots of attacking options for McCall to choose from

Happy with 2 draws from Gillingham and Millwall away to be fair. Gash grounds for us out of the way early.

Can't be too disgruntled by the start of the season. Opening away games at MK Dons, Peterborough, Millwall and Gillingham - still unbeaten with half the squad out injured for most of them.

Roll on the locals away days and home fixtures.

Dull game between two sides both lacking in any real quality, I hope there's a lot better to come from both teams, just for the sake of the supporters

Will take a point just to get another tough away fixture out the way, a welcome home game next after a difficult couple weeks on the road and hopefully have a full squad to choose from.

Definitely a good point at what is traditionally a tough away fixture for us

Hmm. We're very happy with how we're playing (and the players we have) thanks. As Millwall_Matt says, we're playing good stuff but without a huge goal threat, which we're hopeful McNulty and Vuckic will sort - I expect McNulty will start v Bristol Rovers.

Yesterday wasn't our greatest display apparently, but just like Millwall (where we played better) we'll take a point at a ground we tend to do poorly at and maintain the unbeaten start.

We've played Peterborough, MK, Millwall and Gills in our first 4 away games - winning 2 and drawing 2 of those would suggest we have something about us.

How come you didn't take a pic at the rest of our fans in the covered stand to the left?

Agree with most quite a poor match although your lad saved a goal at the end taking one for the team and rightly got clapped of(the b@stard). We were poor and key players like Meredith were unusually poor, not helped by McCall no making subs until about the 70th min I'd have brought McNulty on at half time, he looked far more dangerous than our current crap I mean crop! My first time down there, what's with your unreadable scoreboard?

330 odd why did you have fans on the side?

Unless I've gone totally blind, you didn't have any fans in the stand to the left

Yeah and that scoreboard is a disgrace

They had the end block of the Gordon Road Stand. You could tell who they were - they were the ones celebrating when Bradford scored.

And yeah, the scoreboard is pointless. As are all scoreboards unless they provide video as well.
