Struggling Gillingham host the Cobblers this Saturday, Justin Edingburgh will be desperate for a win to keep his head above water for a little longer. The way it goes with the Cobblers, they'll probably get the win.

Heading down tomorrow night for this one, staying the weekend in Kent visiting old uni mates so very much looking forward to it.

Nothing to be worried about playing the Cobblers for me, just don't give Matty Taylor a free kick within 25 yards of goal and I think we'll win this.

3-1 Gills.

Have just seen the ref for the weekend is would be Prem ref Lee Probert. So I suspect there'll be lots of niggly fouls given while the whole ground looks on thinking "FFS man not every challenge is a foul!"

3-1 Gills.

Freekicks from around 40 yards he is fine with, also got a shed load of assists.

Win or lose, casino rooms

I think Taylor has scored 4 league goals (3 direct free kicks) and got 5 assists already. Its weird though I often find he goes for the long ball too often but his free kicks really are fantastic. Fancy us to win this one 2-1 with a late winner from Hooper.

Not been to Gillingham since we lost 2-0 in one of the worst away days ever, horrificly windy and wet in that stupid away end and Lee Nicholls had the ball bounce over him in goal. Hopefully my visit will be better this time!

I don't get to many home games any more, but I made that one. Can't remember ever celebrating a goal by howling with laughter before, but that was some spectacular ineptitude from your keeper. It was nice and dry in the Rainham End too. ;)

I remember it too. Bounce over the keeper for the first as you say, but the second one was somewhat win-assisted as well. Goal kick from us, Myles Weston stood on his own on the edge of the Northampton box with their defence about 20 yards up the field. Ball flew straight to Myles, who (probably thinking just putting it in the goal was too easy) for some reason turned back into their defence, before beating them again for the fun of it and smashing it in the corner. He was great at that during that season, loved watching him play.

The thing is Lee Nicholls (keeper in question) was fantastic that season, one of the main reasons we did so well that year. Not his finest game its fair to say though.

Looking at the forecast I'll be braving the Sports Direct on the high street and purchasing an umbrella

It's entirely possible we'll put you in the covered Gordon Road stand. We do that fairly regularly now for smaller away followings.

Loads of fans will inevitably complain about that if that happens as we have been given two different prices depending on which stand we choose.

I did notice that on our online ticket site they were selling home tickets in what is normally the away half of the Town End which I thought odd. Maybe we're giving the other half to away fans from now on or something. Fairly sure we have NEVER offered an away side an actual choice of stands to buy tickets in before, but we're generally good enough to move them undercover should the weather require it.

Having done a bit of digging (by which I mean I tweeted the club), I've found out that the official away end is indeed moving to the other half of the Brian Moore Stand permanently. In essence means that the traditional away turnstiles will become home ones, and the away fans will enter on Gordon Road instead. I imagine the plan is to always offer away fans covered and uncovered seating from now on, which should stop the moaning hordes of away fans who would've come to Priestfield in the past but couldn't deal with the elements...

Does give us a little more flexibility with the away allocations as well. Small followings will get just the end block of the Gordon Road, whereas larger followings can spill over into the Brian Moore Stand, but in the same corner rather than having a collection of Gills fans in the middle.

I think I've got all that right, the club will be making an announcement on it tomorrow!

It's currently pissing it down in Kent.

Any Cobblers heading down with tickets out in the open - bring a mac.

Got in at 5 from a house party last night, up at 9 with a raging hangover. I can't bloody wait for today:animatedf:

Almost time to head off to Rochester and try to drink enough that getting soaked isn't a problem

Think a high scoring draw today. Will go for a 2-2 with Hoskins and o toole to score

About to leave, and feeling oddly confident today.

I'm sure I'll be moaning come 6pm.

Not a nice way to lose but if you can't clear the ball then you open yourself up to it. Think a draw would have been fair, both teams were looking dangerous going forward and shaky at the back. Fucking hell that was a cold one today.

Felt we definitely deserved that. Apart from a period between their goal and half time, we were in control throughout in my opinion. I will admit I wouldn't have been disappointed with a draw really, so to win in that manner is wonderful.

Onwards and upwards.

After losing/drawing our last 7 by giving away last minute goals, I'll gladly take a win in that manner :2thumb:
