I thought at the start of the season, Chelsea v Leicester on the final day, the champions would receive the trophy and I was right.

Leicester PL title winners before Liverpool, who'd have thought it.

Relegation battle one season, title winners the next. Absolute madness. Dilly ding dilly dong.
Rather it than Spurs tbh. Next year is our year! :p

Congratulations Leicester.

Supporting a L2 club as I do, I rarely take much interest in what's happening in the Premier League. This season has been different.

Incidentally, I saw this on the BBC website earlier. Says a lot, doesn't it? Mahrez cost £400,000.

Macclesfield Town/Manchester City. It's complicated.
The BBC brought that infographic out last weekend while Leicester were playing United.

So it's obviously logical that they should use City. No agenda there. None at all.

Well done Leicester, and well done Vardy, although you STILL CAN'T REPLACE THE HOLE IN MY HEART. WE'RE DOOOWN.

Will upload the video I got of Vardy completing a hat trick at Kendal Town and baring his pink boxers to the crowd as soon as I stop being a technophobe.

What a story though, needs an understanding of the nuances, gaps and means of support between the leagues to fully appreciate. Not squeaky clean but still relatively so given the state of football. I'd say draw the curtains on the game now, but we need to get back to sharing a league with Shuddersfield before that can happen...

Chase your dreams kids, and work like fuck for them.

Just immense. Didn't think I'd see a 'normal' side win the PL in my lifetime, incredible.

And they say cheaters never prosper - if Van Gaal is staying on he better get the name of Ranieri's dealer.

But we can do without the racism.

(Well done Leicester)

I know it's confirmed, but I still can't believe they've won it.

Biggest surprise in football. I am old enough to have seen Greece in 2004 and Kaiserslauten in 1997, but Leicester's achievement was the most unlikely. Also very happy for Ranieri. He has always seemed like a scapegoat during his bigger jobs.

Greece was probably the biggest upset in my time watching football (born 1987...) but they got a massive dose of luck over the 6 games, plus I don't think any neutral particularly enjoyed watching them play, they were awful.

Very happy for Leicester. Surprised how happy I feel today after waking up and hearing the result. A fantastic achievement. (Part of me has been brainwashed by the media into expecting them to bottle it though... :bg:)

The Danish media is all over the fact that Peter Schmeichel secured his first PM championship with Man U in '94 after the runner up failed to beat their opponent with games to spare ... and now son Kasper repeats that feat with Leicester. Hope to see him win many more championships.

Behave. Denmark had to get through, what, five games?
And they only got to compete in the Euro 92 finals because Yugoslavia, who had won Denmark's qualifying group, weren't able to compete in the finals

It was the fact your obscenely expensive team of flops were the actual title favourites this year, in comparison with the soon to be actual title winners.

Do keep up.

I think people are going a bit overboard here, those calling it the greatest achievement in sport are clearly cocooned into the EPL bubble - never mind Montpelier achieved the exact same thing a few years ago and Kaiserslautern achieved something even more impressive less than 20 years ago.

It is the biggest shock in Premier League history, but going beyond that is subscribing into the EPLs hyperbole machine.

The one party who has really lost out here are the TV companies who paid so much for the EPL, they will spin it but they look it reflects badly on their brand and makes their product look weak compared to continental competition. The fate of Leicester in the Champions League next season will only reinforce this.

But still, fans of most clubs go through their whole lives without expecting, never mind actually achieving, winning the top division so you have to be happy for their fans. It means far more to them than Chelsea or Man Utd fans winning the league.

As for the bookies? They got it horribly wrong with their ludicrous 5000-1 odds and now stand to make an absolute fortune from well wishers betting on their rubbish sides winning the league. The gambler, as always, will be the one who loses out.
