If Brisley signs on loan as well, we could be starting with 5 loanees on Saturday, having lost several of our big earners, getting good fees for a couple. The average age of our squad is pretty young now as well.

I've heard that the negotiations with Carlisle took a bit longer because we can't afford to pay the 2 players full wages, so had to thrash out some sort of arrangement first.

We're definitely not moneybags FGR anymore.

Was consistent as one of our best players for 2 seasons then played the first 3 games this season and wasn't seen again until the weekend due to injury problems. Good player but his fitness could be questioned

Very surprised by this, only played 3 times this season then out with multiple different injuries ever since. Made his comeback as an unused sub on Saturday, he was 'a forgotten man' until then. Though not 100% match fit Jaz was our player of the year 2 years ago, so could be a good option at National League level.

Inih Effiong from Biggleswade Town - Grimsby fans seemed to think he was heading there, but we've snapped him up. I think we know what to expect, with him being a massive striker, and he'll probably come into the starting XI in the next couple of weeks to give Bennett a rest.

Not sure it was ever a case he was signing for us - he just played a game on trial for our reserves against Rotherham a few weeks ago (scoring twice), but then we signed Asante and he was never heard from again.

Looked like a striker who'd been shoved out wide (as he had been for Colchester) and forgot how to play his natural position when he was on loan here.

Scored the winner at Tranmere but I don't think too many, if any, were overly fussed he left.

What can we expect from Racine? Had a glance at your forum (which I must say has been amusing since our games as you've seemingly sold circa 75% of your squad) and a few seem pretty upset.

Also what a bloody shame Ipswich nipped in for Keiffer, otherwise we'd be back in the League by August.

FGR club captain Aaron is extremely popular at TNL and we are disappointed he is no longer with us.
Very solid at the back and does get forward. Criticism of him is that he is not the fastest.
He was loaned out to York earlier in season and scored for them.
I don't think Torquay will be disappointed.

Aarran is a very good player and a top lad off the pitch.

He's a big unit, strong in the air and decent on the ball. Was made captain at the start of the season, and seems to have decent leadership qualities, although not always the loudest on the pitch.
Not the quickest especially on the turn, but as long as you don't play too high a line he'll be a very good signing for you.

Swindon have bought him for an undisclosed fee. Great move for him and wish him the best but a massive shame for us. To be fair you did say he would end up at a FL club in January!
