Cardiff travel to St Andrews on Saturday in an attempt of grabbing their first away win of the season. The Bluebirds who currently sit 12th in the table, have traveled to eight away venues already, picking up four draws and four defeats. Birmingham are currently 22nd in the league table and have only won three games this season, two of these coming in Birmingham. Last time the two sides met, Cardiff won 1-0 in the Midlands, giving them their fifth consecutive victory against the Blues.
Cardiff will be without Kenwyne Jones who traveled home to Trinidad due to a family crisis. They will also be without Antony Pilkington through illness and Kagisho Dikgacoi has a knee problem, leaving him out for over four months. Apart from that City will have a reasonably strong squad to choose from for the journey to Birmingham. The Blues will bee without Lee Novak who recently pulled his hamstring but will also have a full strength squad to select from.
Since Russell Slade's appointment, The Bluebirds have selected almost the same starting line up in every match. So my predicted Cardiff line up is-
01- Marshall
02- Brayford
03- Fabio
05- Ecule Manga
36- Morrison
07- Whittingham
11- Noone
17- Gunnarsson
38- Morrison
10- Le Fondre
14- Macheda
Cardiff are yet to win on the road, and if this game was in Cardiff I would back Cardiff 100%, but as this match is in Birmingham I am going to predict a 2-2 draw.
