It feels like our last game was months ago, not sure whether the rest will have reinvigorated our lot who were just beginning to show signs of their true abilities before the enforced break.

Our recent record when playing on TV, is frankly appalling and Bolton away was never going to be the easiest of games. Would be happy carting a point back to Kent.

On paper this looks a straight forward home win, but Gills do have some match winners so hopeing they can nick a point. Gills any chance of Knott getting a run out?

2-0 Gills, they'll underestimate us. Not a lot to be worried about in the Bolton side, they seem functional rather than exciting. Typical Parkinson side really!

Knott is probably injured, meaning Dack will return from the wing into the centre.

I reckon Nouble will come back into the side and we will again go 4-3-3 with McDonald, JET and Nouble up front and Dack, Wright and Herd (or Hessie Jnr) behind them.
A probable back four of Konchesky, Ehmer, Cargil and Wagstaff.

There is definitely goals in our side the problem is other teams keep scoring more than we do, the bastards.
Could be an entertaining game but I reckon we will come away with nothing.
Sincerely hoping I'm wrong.

Think that's spot on line up wise - I'd go Hess over Herd personally. A bench of Hadler, Oshilaja, Jackson, Herd, Byrne, Donnelly and Osadebe isn't too bad either.

What would be 'hitting top form' to you? Just looked at your results and you're winning 2 and 1-0 every week, if you think Parkinson will mess around with his tactics after that then you're massively mistaken.

We are, but we aren't playing well, so to be winning is great, it just doesn't fee; as though we are playing as good as we can, difficult to explain but I am genuinely surprised we have done as wel as we have

Parkinson gets his teams winning in a dull way, that's just his thing.

Too easy so far. Gillingham look awful at the back, decent going forward mind.

Bolton are just really functional. Nothing outstanding, just everything pretty good. Our central midfield is very weak again, as it tends to be.

Don't feel the defence has been the problem. First goal Clough does well to keep it in and our midfield are stood around appealing for a throw while they break, second goal Vela breaks through with no-one going with him - both midfield issues.

Wish some people would just admit we're being beaten by the better side rather than try and pin it all on something they believe we're particularly doing wrong though.

There's been a lot of "better sides" this season then, Brackley included.

Started this half well.

But of course, if you listened to Twitter it'd be completely down to Bolton backing off rather than us improving. The truth is somewhere in between.

Thanks for popping by, now piss off.

We're getting zero breaks whatsoever. Madine completely went for Wagstaff on halfway, we didn't get the foul. 30 seconds later they get the third. Ref has just let Bolton handle in the area and play on as well - we're being beaten well enough without the ref becoming a 12th man!

To be fair he could/should of given Bolton a penalty too.

Yeah I won't argue that, but that happened after I'd posted! Just seen the first goal COULD have been offside in the build up too....not that it really mattered.

As the commentary team said, we honestly didn't do too much wrong, Bolton were just superior. Oh well.

Bolton easily the best in the division. Defensively solid, great movement up top... expect them to win the league... doing exactly what Wigan did last year.

Watched this. Bolton were very impressive, looked much better than the side that went down. That attacking midfield 3 is damn good for L1, if they can keep Clough and Vela in January it's hard to look past them for promotion on that showing.

Gills looked a little unbalanced I thought, particularly first half. Nouble, JET and Dack all seemed to be trying to play the same kind of role and McDonald was left a bit isolated. Konchesky was really poor

Yep, extremely dull....

Excellent performance, with some outstanding goals. After last season, great to watch.

Hey, I was replying to one of your fellow fans who said you'd been winning without being exciting, which certainly has been a trademark of a Parkinson team over the last few years. You were very decent tonight, I've already admitted that much!
