The only real time I’ve felt I was in Villa country was a night in Perry Barr, in a pub called The Tennis Courts, 3 of us Blues lads randomly attacked by about twenty blokes, later learnt it was down to my Blues pendant hanging out my jumper....it was about two weeks after the Enckleman incident though so fair play :lol::gmc:

I also live in Warwickshire but don't know of many Birmingham fans around these parts. Many more Villa fans.

We know north Birmingham is Villa territory. What other areas of Birmingham are predominantly Villa?
The rule of thumb is that blues are south brum and villa are north brum. I don't live in Birmingham, but I've worked all over the city and I see far more villa shirts than I do blues. I cannot answer your question as I'm not from the city, but do you honestly think blues are the main club in brum? I'd say it was a pretty equal split regarding support. Like I said though I see far more villa shirts.

I remember drinking in Harborne a few years back after we played Chelsea. Was in the centre to start with which was all villa by the way, then went out to Harborne to meet someone. Was in this pub and there was about 5 blues playing pool. Next thing you know about 15 villa came in and kicked the fuck out of them. I recognised one face as being a main face at villa. It was well out of order I thought. Plenty of times when villa have been picked off by your lot though, but two wrongs don't make a right.

I'd agree you see a lot more Villa shirts around the City, and beyond, in fact wherever I go I always seem to see people in Villa shirts :bang:

I personally see that as a good thing though, in my opinion the only people who should ever be seen in a replica football shirt are children, football players, and just about push to those partaking in sport. I find it bizarre that a fully grown man would want to walk around wearing a shirt with another man's name on the their back.

Finally with regard to replica shirts, one thing that has pleased me recently, the amount of kids round by me who're wearing Blues or Villa tops has exploded, almost never do you see any Man U/Liverpool/Chelsea tops any more, I'd much sooner see a group of kids in Villa shirts than any non-local clubs.

No trains running to the football tomorrow so you might see a few extra coaches El Guapo. Due to the trains being cancelled villa are putting coaches on for fans that want them. Hope no fucker uses them as it plays into the hands of the police. Win tomorrow and we are up to 4th. Got grealish back too which is great news for us. 3.1 villa.

Since records began for league games the average attendance for blues villa at the sty is 36169. Little bit of trivia for attendance nuts.

Well it's Derby day. The only day I take much notice of the blue half of Birmingham. I'm not one of these blues haters, infact I'd rather see them get promoted with us than get relegated, but apart from a good anthem KRO they have fuck all going for them. I respect wolves and there are other clubs I don't like for example Leeds, but I respect them as a club. Blues on the other hand are a vile bunch of fans, although the two blues lads on here seem sound enough. The rubbish they spout about villa is laughable and it's only on Derby day that they get under my skin. Today is the only day when I truly want the horrible bastards to lose. No matter what happens today, remember one thing...The Shires Our Ours! May the best team win.

P.s are your lot teaming up with the baggies again after the game to try and scare us? UTV

Those threads don't stop being a great read. It's great that we have such a massive community of match-going fans in the English lower leagues especially since I reckon not even 5 posters attend Prem games on a regular basis (it has its cost I grant you but going to a Championship ain't free either). Very interesting information being written in this thread.
This game is on the box so I'll give this a watch. Those are generally a tedious watch but great atmosphere. I can't promise I'll watch the whole game but I'll give it a try. Hopefully, they'll be a few goals nice and early in the contest.

Don't really care who wins. I like both clubs. I must get up to Birmingham after Russia. A place I've never been and so many grounds to do!

I definitely get under VL's skin more than twice a year :bg: (getting the coaches excuse in nice and early though, kudos :emb:)

Big group of our lot, Blues & Villa, meeting at our local pub in half hour for a couple of hours of amicable drinking before we then go our separate ways and I fucking despise any sight of the pink & baby blue rats.

I'm not confident and would take a draw now, the only thing we have that could cause them problems is the pace going forward, but people have been on about putting pace up against JT for years and he seems to have still managed a decent career out of it (he'll DEFINITELY score today).

Any neutral tuning into the game, with an ounce of working class minerals about them, will be cheering for the poor working mans club trying to stand toe to toe with Lord Snooty and his billions of pounds buying any player that's ever scored a brace in the league.

For the people, Keep Right On

And always, always, Shit On The Villa.

Thought I'd try and divert the embarrassment of the coaches :bg: here you go again with your working class bullshit. I'm very confident today and honestly think we may run riot. Anyway have a good drink.

There has been some very dull games and the police are trying their best to kill the Derby day feel, but there has been some cracking games over the years. When it's good it's explosive. It's just as expensive in the championship.

Will the villa fans get a free clapper on their seats :2thumb:
I heard they will get a packed lunch and a complimentary balloon when they board the coach from Staffordshire, Worcestershire & Somerset.

Don't knock the balloons mate. I remember us at Anfield in the early 90s for a cup game. 6k villa and thousands of balloons coming from our end,it was a wonderful sight. We played in yellow shirts that day. Sold out yet?

62 left in the Gil Merrick and a few singles dotted around in the Family Stand.

Bad but not 8,000 bad when we played you at Villa Park in the League Cup.
Totally agree that it was a poor crowd. Should of been 40k there. Thing is you struggle to sell out a reduced capacity for our games at your place let alone having 34k there.

Four OOT Villa coaches then. I'll take that compared to the 16 (sixteen!) official supporters' coaches in the Villa Park coach park in April. An hour before kick off.

Coaches, balloons, clappers. What an absolute travesty if we fail to beat the tinpot working class men's club of Solihull with an increase of 15,000 on their usual turnout.

Fancy a Birmingham upset here.

That's a good starting eleven on paper.

Villa started well but after the first 10 minutes you could argue Blues have been on top. Not much in the way of chances either way, although Blues just had a decent headed effort straight at Johnstone Whoever decided to give out clappers to the Blues fans needs a talking to though - firstly, the fans are more than capable of creating an atmosphere themselves (although I must admit, I've always wondered exactly why the high-pitched 'Villa' chant is so popular amongst Blues fans - pretty pathetic piss-taking attempt really!), and secondly they were obviously going to be used as missiles at some point.

Villa obviously have the better players (other than Jota, he's classy), but right now Blues are putting in the greater effort. Think if there's a winner in this, it'll be decided through a set-piece.

Can't wait to hear the Birmingham fans make that noise when the other team makes a sub.
