We're desperate for a victory from anywhere in any form. Derby seem to have picked up a bit, so again we need to play at our maximum. Let's not do what we did against Bolton and sit back and admire them for 45 minutes.

Undoubtedly we'll get another "they're one of the best sides we've played this season but nothing up front ". We'll create loads of situations around the box and do nothing with them and then concede a Sunday league goal at the other end.

Some of the football we play is as good as it's been for a long time but we're just dreadful in both boxes. I can't see Crosby lasting until January if he doesn't find a way to sort it.
This is so true.
I won’t be bothering to go to Port Vale 0 Derby 2
Crosby is a likeable bloke, and I desperately want him to succeed, I can’t see it happening tonight though

We seem to be in a bit of a slump at the moment, but we aren't playing too badly.

I think we deserved to beat Burton and Northampton on the balance of play, and we drew both (away), while we managed a good point at home to Wigan on Saturday (and should have 3 more points than we currently do thanks to lincoln...), so we're my no means in freefall, but I think we're winless in 5 in the league.

Enter brovers, our most played opponents of all time. I expected them to be faring a little better than they are, but it's such a tight league in the middle, a few wins see you play offs, a few defeats sees you bottom 8 so it's tough to call.

Smells like another draw to me.

Desperate for a win by any means possible against the Imps tonight, but not at all confident. Digby being suspended is an interesting one as it should allow us to play Cousins and Thomas in the starting line up. We need to be brave tonight and go for it, otherwise a 0-1 defeat feels inevitable. Can’t go tonight so 5-0 win nailed on.

Depends what Orient turn up. If you come for a point, you’ll have it, potentially even 3.

If you come to win, we’ll probably win.

Our ability to break teams down who sit back is absolutely criminal

We have only played Southend more times (108). I believe tonight will be the 103rd between the gas and O's.
Not sure what to expect tonight though, we havent played well for quite some time now. Probably the last time was Oxford away and we lost that
Collins and Brown just haven't done it this season and need a kick up the arse. Wilson has been disappointing at CB. Luke Thomas im hoping will start as he has been our best player so far along with Connor Taylor..

Literally flew back from NYC overnight got back to the midlands from Heathrow and then trawled up here barely any sleep… wonder how I’ll feel at 0-3 after an hour!

A proper 442 tonight we are actually going for it. What could possibly go wrong?

We’ve now got an injury to Morgan Feeney again. That’s now 9 first teamers out. We’ve named 4 youth players amongst the 7 subs. Udoh has had to drop into CM which loses all our attack threat immediately. Exeter are CERTAIN to win this game, I just don’t see how we can get anything here with the team we have out. I’ll probably have switched it off by HT when we’re two or three down.

Alfie May is going to score and be a c*** isn't he!

Joyous!
Heh. Did he do a massive kneeslide to the away fans and make wanker gestures, and reveal an undershirt saying, “I only played for you for the money”?

Don’t even think Lincoln have got out of 1st gear and are 0-2 up, solid if unspectacular, we’re just shocking.

Decent game and both sides playing some good football, linesman seems unable to understand the offside rule though!

Uche getting manhandled but having the decisions go against him but he should have played a pass to put us 3 on the keeper at one point!

We are utterly abysmal. I’ve said it before we’ll be cut adrift rock bottom by January. We are 100% the worst team in this league.

No - he did the hands down the side thing that players do these days.

I'd actually respect him more if he did celebrate.

The big lads never get the decisions though, when we had Akinfenwa up front he could have had 2 defenders with obvious handfuls of his shirt and the decision would still go against him.

Yeah well he has his shirt torn off but as soon as he gives it back as he’s stronger free kick, what’s he meant to do though!

You know that with the MASSIVE CASH INJECTION you will no longer be BELEAGUERED Carlisle United and instead will become Big-Time Charlie United, with your players bathing in champagne after every game.

Just accept the bliss.

To the surprise of absolutely no-one we’ve been comfortably the better side between the two boxes and find ourselves losing because we can’t defend set pieces and create absolutely fuck all.

Derby look the more likely if I'm completely honest. We've stood off them and watched them play at times. Although pretty much all their chances have come from us giving the ball away rather than good play.

Uche having his shirt pulled and then having a foul awarded against him is standard. Refs are thick. Linesman terrible on Railway side....he's missed everything virtually. Mendez laing being that typical talented player. Talented but a complete knob who needs a smack in the face. I think he fractured an eyelash first half.

We need to compete much better second half to get anything out of it. If these score it could be 2 or 3.

We were doing well until Freestone stupidly dived in on their player. After that it's been all Charlton and we've been riding our luck since.

You haven't been paying attention have you. We are dreadful and we can't score.
Despite shading that half, I'll take a point now.

Been a thoroughly enjoyable game away at Blackpool, with us taking a surprise 1-0 lead at half time. Both teams have had chances, Dembele looks class for Blackpool and the ball up to Beesley has caused us problems. That being said we have pressed high at times and looked threatening ourselves, our midfield 3 are getting lots of interceptions aswell.

Definitely see more goals in this one, looking forward to the second half.

Curzon Ashton....and Carlisle
First time I have really got to see Carlisle as I purchased the match view and they are a shambles defensively……..so are Reading and probably explains why both are down there but we have gifted them 2 goals through amateur Sunday league defending.

Simpson and new owners have a decision to make really when watching this, the team isn’t good enough and will go down, do they spend big in January and replace 6-7 of that starting eleven to give them a chance, or accept relegation and pinpoint key areas to improve over next 6-12 months to bounce back and be stronger.

Goalie is dreadful, defence haphazard and midfield seems to make basic errors, cannot fault the effort they have been in the game as much as Reading is even say our play has been better, but just giving ball away, no communication and basic errors

We’ve been really good I think. Pressing them so high and forcing them long and over the top and they looked a bit clueless at times with how we’ve set up. I rate Critchley as a coach and they’ve got some good players so I’m sure they’ll figure out and work a way through. Encouraging though and glad we’ve just not sat back like we did at Derby and been thumped.

I'd say that was a pretty even half, neither side really testing the keeper

Half time:

Carlisle United 3-1 Carlisle United.

We are a sham. First time this season I've thought we genuinely look like a side destined for relegation. Gifted all 3 goals, and lost Garner to injury.

I'm not sure any amount of money can turn around a losing mentality.

Blackpool equalise with their first sniff of goal second half. Frustrating but a cracking header from Rhodes, need to stay positive and keep pressing high but I fear a sucker punch late on.

Apparently there's 7,000 home fans at Brovers tonight, you wouldn't know it, quietest home crowd I've seen in years.

As for the game, we've been incredibly poor.

Should be 0-0, neither side deserves 3 points on this showing but here we are...
