Well done Macc, I really want you to do this , but 1,563 is very poor.

Where would you be without your chairman?

It’s the best we’re going to do - particularly when it clashes with England.
We had 800 home fans vs Maidstone this time last year, that’s almost a 90% increase for tonight.
Also, it’s Askey we wouldn’t be here without. Our chairman’s role is dubious to say the least.

The only way we'll ever get more than the 1800-2000 we're going to average this year is if we practically give away season tickets like many clubs do down here. But we're not in the financial position to do that anytime soon. How many fans do you think Chester will bring on Easter Monday? I would be disappointed if we couldn't manage 2000 ish home fans for that one.

We were the better side tonight, but couldn't take our chances. Blissett held the ball up very well and created numerous chances for others in the side but no-one could take them as usual. When Durrell went off injured in the first half, I thought to myself we were never going to score. We huffed and puffed, with Whitaker missing a sitter in the second half. Eventually, we scored a classic last minute goal - a scrappy goal coming off Blissett's arse. Overall, we deserved it though.

What the hell is going on Pools fans, this is a fine time to start picking up wins. Sacking your legend has to be the worst decision ever (for those of us below you and clinging to desperate hope anyway).

We were similar last season.

Can't remember whether we scored 27 in the last 15 minutes of games or gained 27 points in the last 15 minutes. Either way, it was a good record.

Gutted with that Macc winner - two horse race now.

For me, it was that fine, that a Macc loss or draw (due to their lower GD) last night would have kept Tranmere, Aldershot and Wrexham in the title race... but think 8 points in 7 games is too much to make up now.

I think they're just playing to a simpler system than what Harrison was trying to get them to play, Bates seems to play with a diamond in midfield, two strikers upfront, players having shots from around the box instead of trying to walk it in, simple stuff, it's amazing these are the same players who looked devoid of ability and aptitude a month ago now look like footballers who give a shit.

Four points over Easter and we can all relax.

19 points behind Dover with 21 to play for. Providing they lose their 6 remaining games, we should make it into the play-offs as Tranmere let us beat them on the final day to overtake Dover when they've confirmed 3rd spot.

I suppose the good thing about Macclesfield or Sutton winning the league is the league would have to make sure we won the playoffs to protect the 1 tinpot 1 proper club promotion rule.

Last night was one trip to the north east too many, considering we have played there so much recently. It would be a shame if the focus on our cup run means that we tail off at the end of the season. I hope Sutton do go up, they'll have to lay grass again, but it would continue to stir the debate around 3G in the Football League.

Bates doesn't put square pegs in round holes, brought in midfielder Hawkes to play in midfield & had s blinder.
Harrison insisted on playing with wide men, even though no one is capable of it,Bates scrapped that & set up s diamond formation, also plays 2 up front.
Small changes like that have made a huge difference

Can’t say I do. Decent manager but seems like an absolute whining bellend of a bloke.

You say whining bellend I see successful manager, who actually gives a damn. Not to mention I enjoy how certain people get so easily wound up by him. Think where Woking could have been with someone like Dos in charge....

Wait your turn...we're the non tin pot club that's due to get out of here. We have more than served our sentence.

Well technically Macclesfield wouldnt be bad for the league as the FL have had them before. Us and Macc could be 2 average ones instead of one big and one tinpot ;)

Just looking at odds available still and you can get 7/1 on Tranmere. Yet only 33 and 40/1 on Wrexham and Aldershot in exactly the same points!!

Macclesfields attendances put them firmly in the tinpot category. Plus we’ll beat you at some point in the playoffs anyway when you do a Tranmere against Tranmere.
