Christ on a bike - we've won away from home for the first time since Woking away in February 2016!

I never expected that before kick off

Nice one York. Barrow slipping out of the title race.

4 teams still in it imo, albeit Lincoln with a firm grasp on it.

So what are we thinking, Barrow and Dover out of the title race now? I think it's a 4 horse race, with Lincoln clear favourites.

Southport must be odds on for going down. Conceding 4 at home to NFU? Jeez.

With confirmation of the FGR result, it's a good weekend to be a Lincoln fan.

Fucking terrible day for us.

Since Barrow fans thought playing Rochdale was VERY WINNABLE they've imploded.

Why the fuck do we always fuck up when there's a great chance to really close the gap and put ourselves in good contention for that 5th spot. Every fucking time opportunities arise we fucking bottle it.

Where's that season over thread???

I suppose 1-1 was a fair result, although not sure why our early goal was disallowed. It looked all right from the half way line. We even managed to get one of our own players sent off when previously booked Luke George was forced to make a tackle by a dreadful ball from full back Theo Vassell. Only 8 points from safety now.

Oh and did the lentil eaters get beat?

What happened at the end of the game? Reports of a mass brawl. Punches thrown. Jennings and Tilt sent off for us. No idea if true.

Each and every one of their goals was an absolute gift from us. We were the better side for most of the game but some absolute howling individual errors cost us.

I left 5 minutes from end so missed that. No doubt all will be revealed. Hope it didn't destroy our chances of getting rid of the "bubble".

Sounds like our away game against them early in the season, we absolutely battered them but gifted them three goals through sloppy schoolboy defending!

Well happy with that, hate Cox and that style of football but can see why they are doing well,
Think we have finally woke up.
How the hell did Barrow number 6 stay on (Diarra) Amari smith totally destroyed him, first one should of been a straight red and how the hell next one on same player player didn't is unbelievable.
Glad smith turned Barrow down for us

We were admittedly under strength today but that was a very poor result especially when we had the chance to really close the gap on 5th. We've lost a lot of players and we clearly missed them today. When Danny Rowe doesn't play we look massively short of ideas in attack. Danny Whitehead looked a different class when he came on but we desperately need some more wide players.

Thought the draw was fair in the end, we started bright and knocked it about for ten minutes without actually threatening much, the Braintree's first attack and the lad lashes in a cracker from a way out. Again we had a lot of the ball but just seemed to mostly knock it sideways and kill our own momentum.
Couple of changes and we kept pressing and got a reward but Braintree never out of it doing the simple stuff well enough and brought a great save out of Sam low to his right.
Thought we'd nicked it late but ruled out for offside. Definitely not title challenge fare.

We've got Tranmere and Lincoln away over the next month which will dictate whether we're in a battle for the title of play offs. I feel like we're in a good spot though with just the league to focus on and all our players seemingly starting to return from injury. The hope is that Lincoln's fixture list catches up with them although I fear Tranmere could well be the ones to nab it on the home stretch.

Didn't see what Tilt did but Jennings certainly threw a punch towards Richards' face. He'll be lucky to escape a long ban I'd have thought.

Good point for us at Gateshead, always a tough place to go. Should have been ahead at half time but didnt take our early chances. 2nd half could have gone either way, Wes York entered a strong contender for miss of the season while Rendell could have done better with one or two chances but overall i'm satisfied with the draw.

Definitely missed Rowe, and today was a worrying indication of what the rest of the season would be like if/when he goes. However, we still had other options wide that Askey ignored and playing Whitaker wide left is never effective, and then at one point we had 5 central midfielders on the pitch. We're also very small at the moment, which may not have been as much a problem if we didn't keep chipping/lobbing balls forward into central positions. At the back we couldn't cope with Rankine's strength or Asamoah's feet. Penalties were probably right (long way from the 2nd one) but referee was poor; think we only played about 15 minutes in the 2nd half with the amount of time wasting they were allowed to do!
