City 0 Wimbledon 3 or something. Alexander with his "Eh, listen, look, the pitch wasn't great. Listen, we've got to do better. Look, listen, eh, look" copy and paste post match interview.
Bradford fans are always quick to slag off their managers.
He's only been there 5 minutes lads.

He should never have been appointed.

Yup. Can't remember anyone being particularly pleased. Both City fans and fans of fellow League Two clubs.

We are appalling odds here. Salford are favourites in my eyes, our league away form is dreadful.

A trip to the joys of Accrington. Some decent pubs & ale.

As for the game, I cannot see past a home win. Our form is dreadful, defensively, as bad as I can ever remember ( I’m 65!)

Depends on who we bring in this week for me to change my optimism about an away win.

Wimbledon at home. Loss
Really? We're just getting used to playing without Ali (possibly permanently) and we needed a few referee dubious decisions to beat Mansfield. I'd take a point.

Away at a team we've not beaten on their own patch since 2000. Think we've done better on the road of late due to us setting up more like an away team. I'd happily take a point at this stage.
It will be interesting seeing how Nevitt plays, assuming he gets some match action. Departure from Rovers wasn't entirely for footballing reasons, but seems to have settled in at Crewe after a slow start,
Two teams in good form at Prenton Park on Saturday. We've been good at home under Adkins, apart from the MK match in which we set up a bit too defensively. Dont think we'll do the same against Crewe.

Should be a decent away crowd, would expect over 1000 at least.
I agree that the Milton Keynes tactics were a mistake and expect us to set up more adventurously. It should be a decent crowd but find it a hard match to call.

To go from Meh football under Hughes to even worse under Alexander was such a strange move.

I do actually feel sorry for you guys.

Me too. I heard all the reports on here bout dour it was under Hughes and then its Bradford City AFC is delighted to announce the appointment of Graham Alexander as the club's new men's first-team manager.

Talk about kicking a fanbase when they are down.

I’m really looking forward to Accrington away.

Said fucking no one.

I really enjoyed Accrington, 35 degrees in an open terrace, an overhead kick and a 40 yard wonder goal think I’ll go again!

When we went it started raining heavily just before kick-off and didn't stop for the next two hours. Think I've still got trench foot.

I’d fancy notts to get something here, given recent form and injuries.

On paper it should be one notts should be up for more us, given that - wanting revenge from october and the positive of actually selling out the away will no doubt buoy notts on

Not so this time about us winning - i’m going for a famous away win.

Of course you would  what a surprise.

Other than league position (3rd Vs 7th), result earlier in the season between the two sides (4-1 to Mansfield), Mansfield's home form over the past 6 games (9 points) compared to Notts away form from the same period (1 point), the last five league between the two sides at Field Mill all ending in home victories, Notts haven't won a league game there since 2005!!

If you forget and ignore all that , and the bookies odds (7/2) then yes away win. Talk about predictable :ffs:. Make sure you bet and tell folk before the game starts chap :ohy:

God that makes depressing reading but the history books don't lie.

The first time MK Dons have ever been to Barrow. Hopefully our horrible pitch ruins their silky football and we can scrape a 1-0 with our anti-football.

Are you just as likely to come here and go all out attack as you would under LW? We’ve not won in last 3 at home against teams sitting behind the ball and we can’t deal with it, albeit 2 of the games we’ve gifted them a goal to take the lead in the first 5 minutes.
I'm pretty sure Maynard will have us more defensive seeing as how we've been leaking like a sieve away from home.

You still fancy Maynard or is too early to tell?

Way too early.
Losing Matty Palmer has completely knackered us up. I'm hoping we sign another midfielder this week to bolster us. Until we do Maynard is going to be up against it, there's nothing much on the bench and Williams was only getting mid table results in the end.

Used to live round those parts - I’m going on the train so I can have a few pints of Thwaites. Stanley were non-league then and the Burnley fans I played footy with had a great fondness for them - I expect something to do with their fans being practically from a suburb of Blackburn but not supporting them.

I was, fuck Chesterfield.

Notts is always one to look forward too, great city for boozing in and when it’s a match day down there it’s even better with a few thousands Stags always making the trip. If we could hold on to the autos I hope they come up with us. It’s a decent local derby but not one in which I become suicidal if we lose ie Chesterfield.
But why not fuck Lincoln it’s only 30 odd miles for you and Notts - they seem to be the club no-one hates? Scunny hate us, traditionally we hate Hull although that is somewhat ambitious these days and they think they are big enough to hate Leeds, so it’s Scunny for most of our fan base, but I’ve always hated Lincoln since the 70s when they always seemed to beat us with Graham Taylor’s aerial bombardment.

Oh, someone older than me. 62 in June. I remember the glory days of winning the FA Cup and holding our own in the Prem and punching above our weight. Then the FA Commission and Winkleman, Koppell et al put paid to that. Franchise supporters need not respond as I have most of them blocked.

I will anyway. You missed out Sam selling your ground from under you and trying to move you to Dublin. Well before Winkie was even in the picture. But hey, enjoy that Leonard Cohen album and don't play with razorblades.
