Stockport County.
Horrible team, Barrow. Very dirty.

I'm in the same boat as the Wrexham lads, wanted Mansfield to beat MK. No luck so far.

I felt if I said the same then I'd be accused of being a bad loser, but they genuinely are a disgusting side to play.

Well, didn’t expect that at 1-0.

MK level thanks to a lucky deflected goal and we should have scored to make it 2-1 before HT, they were much better 2nd half.

Best side i’ve seen at field mill (though i was on ifollow)

Exactly what we needed after the weekend! I expected 3 points from these two games and that’s what we got, and if I’m being completely unbiased, this is probably the better way to do it given the table if we still have automatic aims.

Apart from the last 15 minutes we were the better team but yet again couldn’t hang on to a lead

MK win 2-1

Bad result for Mansfield, Stockport, Crewe and ourselves. Be surprised if MK don't finish top 3

The consistently inconsistent Gills are still very much in business. Barrow pretty comfortable despite offering very little, and though I've mentioned it a few times if they go down to 10 men after 4 minutes as they should've done then it's an entirely different game.

Shame we still have to suffer playing them in the home game, but for now it's onto Tranmere.

Important result for us, and a good performance too. Nice to hear Mansfields commentary team praising us at the end of the match.

A good advert for the league tonight.

Thought Donny were poor second half after a good first 45, did the standard thing in football of sitting deep and wasting time when the fact is we are crap and they have nothing to play for, just keep having a go and you win there. We improved a bit second half, sadly the ref didn’t he ruined the game with his petty antics stopping it every two seconds for every niggle and wasting everyone’s time with about 10 pointless yellows.

But the game summed up what both teams are, lower mid table division 4 fodder.

Shocking game devoid of quality. Better point for grimsby than us. Neither team did enough to win.

Atrocious game of football was that. Wrong tactics and personnel from the off. Draw a fair result. Both teams with only one decent chance.

Don't think I can stomach watching that style or level of football next season.

Sadly I agree, it was like Parkinson at its worst in the 11/12 season when we were scrapping for our lives. Well we aren’t scrapping for our lives now and really have a few hit, but instead of express ourselves and play attacking football we play turgid shit.

Agree. It's just dour and negative managers one after another. Sooner we get a change at the top the better.

Crunch game with them for us next tuesday can see our young defence struggling with that style.

Very comfortable win against a Gillingham side that didn't have a shot until the 85th minute.
Best we've played in ages and we still have 7 home games out of our 12 remaining games, so if we can back the win up against Colchester on Saturday the play off's are a real possibility and we can still catch MK Dons by winning our games in hand.
Gillingham's night was summed up in injury time when ex-Barrow player Hutton and team mate Masterson both got booked after squaring up to each other.
Barrow had 3 booked, Gillingham 4 so not sure how that makes us the dirty team.

Oh no, no no no. I'm not having another game at yours like last time

I have a horrible feeling it's going to be winner gets automatic promotion loser ends up in the play offs (and probably dumped out by an in form team who finished 6th or 7th)

That'll do.

Thought Gillingham were poor and I expected more from them, spent most of the game hoofing it towards Hawkins, but we'd obviously done our homework and they didn't really have a plan B.

Having watched the Stockton challenge back it's one of those where I've seen both reds and yellows given plenty of times. We've had our far share of should be reds go against us this season as well. Plus, we're 5th in the fair play table which isn't too bad for a dirty team.

* Knoyle of Stockport's non-red being a great example

Fair play to Artell for realising just in time that his style needed to change to suit a relegation battle, after shipping goals for fun he ditches his preferred style and we concede just 1 goal in 3 games and pull 7 clear of the relegation zone in the process.
It might not be pretty but it was what was needed for our current plight and in an interview yesterday he admitted he tried to change it all too quickly which is good to hear that he will admit to making mistakes.
Feel like after that our fickle fan base are mainly supportive of him now which is a big turn around from a couple of weeks ago.

Squeazed 3 points out of a poor performance. Looked tired after Saturday's exertions. Crawley will feel disappointed to leave with nothing - but they were very wasteful from good positions.
But to play poorly and take 3 points, we'll have that right now.

Yeah not a classic at all. We came for a point and looked to counter but didn't really get any of the breaks required to really put you under pressure other than a few moments. Felt you were playing for set pieces despite Bugiel not being available so kind of smacks of a lack of plan B and probably indicates why you are just a bit shy of a playoff push. Hard fought midfield battle though, I think a bit of credit has to go to the defences of both sides. Harvey Cartwright in net for us MOTM, has had a tough season so definitely encouraging to see him put that kind of performance in. Lost count of how much he came for and caught. Best match in a Town shirt for him.

Yep, have to give him credit here. One of the red flags from the Crewe fans was that he would absolutely not deter from his chosen style whatsoever. It's taken some extreme flexing but he has done that and in doing so effectively held his hands up.

We look so much more solid now and Mullarkey and Rodgers look like different players, not sure they can do what Artell wants them to in the long term but perhaps that is a fluid ideology and these performances are forming a part of what we're building as opposed to being a short term fix. Thompson is a great L2 battle axe, if we could get him playing 90min games in time for next season that would be huge.

That was the kind of performance that would have generated night-time emissions from the current Shrewsbury manager…
