As well as the above, we’re also after Frank Fielding apparently.
We've heard Blackburn are at our end. As he's a Blackburn boy I thought it was lazy journalism but we are certainly after another keeper, maybe 2 so it could be that Frankie will be moving.
He signed a new deal not long ago so, I would guess, somewhere around £750K / £1M would get him.

We're one of 4 clubs Erhun Otzumer's agent has decided to include in his spiel to get his client a good contract.

Wigan, Bolton and Bradford the other three.
Not heard us linked with him, possibly Blackburn instead of us? He doesn’t strike me as a player that suits our team. He’s a midget and Cook likes his players big and tall. Very good player though.

A big possibility he'll leave but can't see us selling for less than we bought him, especially after last season. 10ish and I'd be happy.

You could probably get Afobe for cheaper than Vydra, both are of a similar standard.

What would that mean for Amos, likely to be offloaded?

He was superb for us last season and is surely a better option than Fielding for Bolton. It would give me small hope that we may be able to sign him permanently but could see wages being a problem and doubt he'll be playing in League One next year.

Any news if you want Zyro permanently? Doubt he has a future with us.

Hope not and doubt it.

He started ok and then it just fell apart. After one defeat at Wimbledon, Bowyer (rightly or wrongly) criticised Zyro's poor performance in the press.

He never really impressed me that much but final straw for me was his performance on the last day against Rochdale. Up there with one of the worst performances I've seen from any player in a Charlton shirt. Slow, disinterested, everything he tried to control bounced off his foot, passing to the opposition, outmuscled, out-jumped and spent most of the time on the floor. It was pathetic.

Maybe his injury has hindered him but simply put, he's not very good.

Very quiet from us - there usually aren’t many rumours when it comes to us but seems extra quiet this season.

Think we’ll be waiting until we see who goes, lots of players out of contract at the end of the coming season, so we’d rather sell them while we can still get money. Would hope we’d give new deals to Barbet, Macleod and Jozefzoon though. Some noise Bentley will be sold, two years left on his deal so probably at his peak value if there is interest.

Mepham and Watkins to Bournemouth for £30m has been mooted a couple of times but doubt its true, though Bournemouth are definitely interested in them.

Signed Kal Naismith on a free. Our first (and probably not last) underwhelming signing of the summer.

Trust you guys though with your signings though. Very underwhelming and done almost nothing before, but not the first time that’s been the case with one of your players

Don't think Portsmouth fans rated Naismith all that highly, quite surprised he's got a Championship club.

Very quiet on our front, still only early days but I'm patiently waiting for some news in or out...

Quiet for everyone, most players will still be on their holidays for the next few weeks. Will be a lot more interesting come July.

We definitely want rid of Amos. He was a calamity at this level unfortunately, though in his defence, our back four didn’t help his cause. Seems we want his big wages off the books too.

Leicester are apparantly preparing a 40 million transfer fee for Grealish. They are the club likely to get him, but I'm surprised if he fetched 40m.

Whilst £40m sounds a lot (and is for Grealish probably) are they not close to landing big on Mahrez?

Bringing in a replacement for around half the price doesn't sound so bad and would ultimately price out any rivals I would imagine.

60m for Mahrez. Grealish is young, and is definitely a top flight player. Bags of potential. Thought we'd be getting 25-30 max.

Forty mil for Grealish, though, for fuck's sake. Forty fucking million. Where does football go from these sort of prices? We're accelerating into oblivion.

Wouldn’t be surprised in the slightest if Villa go for Nick Powell as a replacement. The exact sort of player who would play in the Grealish role and Bruce has been after him ever since he had him on loan at Hull. He wouldn’t be cheap though.

We won't get 40m for him. People know our situation, so that won't happen, and he's not proven to play at a consistent level in the prem, although, I think he will now he's maturing. The moment someone offers 25m, he will be sold.

Never seen Grealish play well against us for Notts County or Villa.

His goal return is also very underwhelming.

Prime example of English hype, If he's worth £40m, Diogo Jota is worth £100m.

Totally agree. He's played well in the championship, but he was a once every 5-6 games play well in the prem. he's still got a lot to prove, but he's genuinely talented.

Wouldn’t say he’s any better than either of the Jotas

Would be a good move for Watkins’ asking price

Why doesn’t Grealish wear shin pads? Asking to get an injury he can’t recover from

If Villa get 40 for Grealish and we got 4 for Hughes I'm fucking done.

He does, he wears junior ones. No idea why, comfier/less irritating I'm guessing. I used to wear massive ones with ankle protection attached and they were pretty hefty looking back.

Ah didn’t know that. A lot of his shin is very unprotected though

If my career depended on protecting that part of my body I’d stop being a pillock and just wear the right equipment

Going way back, players didn't have to wear shin pads but I believe it's a requirement nowadays.

Quite a few players wear light/junior pads, there seems to be fewer breaks in football now too.
