There is bankrolled but this is another level, making Salford look like Wealdstone.

i dont think we will be paying him £4k a week like they did with Adam Rooney mind...

I would imagine weve spent more on transfer fees this year than we have in our entire 150 odd year history put together.

This is what happens when you have 6000 Season ticket holders and an average gate over 8000
Great support that __But where have these supporters been for the last 10 years. At least fans can sing at you " Where were you when you were shit ? " But still good support.

We've been averaging 4-5k a week for the past few seasons so it's not like we've gone from 500 a game. But you always get floating fans. How come we took 18k to Wembley when our average home game was 4000? Its not something that bothers me, as long as they come sometimes!

I've noticed more families and kids at the games. Hopefully some of those will stick around once the novelty wears off.

So you’re saying you’re not bankrolled? Deluded if you think so.

Course we are bankrolled. So are you. So are all the clubs in this division to a greater or lesser extent.

We weren't when we were fan owned, but we also struggled to compete.

Of course you are and the bigger crowds and sponsorships obviously help but I think even you know 350k and god Knows what on wages for Palmer is pretty next level.

Rumours that we've paid £300-350k for him. Bloody nora.
I’ve seen some mental things at this level but this is absolutely insane, a lot take the mick but surely you lot are a little bit worried? He was alright here, nothing more than that and has been nothing more than alright since.

If we really did pay 350k that's a crazy sum. We apparently have a structure and this fits into it. Who knows?

None of us know what transfer fees and wages are being paid. It's all twitter speculation.

What happens if you don’t go up for a couple more years? Reminder that one of you, Chesterfield or Stockport won’t be going up, maybe more than one. The spending this season is eye watering, it’s not even on the level of Mansfield, Fleetwood and Crawley of the past, it’s far far more than I’ve ever seen at this level and the one above.

Well I guess they'll have to curb their spending in that case.

They aren't putting debt onto the club so at present I'm not worried. If they just suddenly walked away leaving the club with the liabilities such as unsustainable wages then I'd be worried but there is no indication that's going to happen.

At present it is sustainable because of the revenue we are bringing in. That may not last beyond the next few seasons and then it won't be. No point worrying about it though. Weve had a decade of spending within our means and not having a pot to piss in and the club was shrinking in size.

Not a Wrexham fan but even I’m getting annoyed at them spending so much money on players with no potential on long contracts. I know they can afford it but…they could also afford young, exciting players instead.

Short-term it could work of course but you have to question who is making these decisions.

I would like us to sign some younger prospects. I was quite excited by us being linked to Tahvon Campbell and Joe Sbarra but looks like that was all just co conjecture.

Not all our signings are old. James Jones and Aaron Hayden are only 25. Bryce Hossannah is 22. We also released pretty much all our older more experienced players and only really kept the younger ones.

It’s completely bizarre. £300k at this level should get you a genuine Vanarama superstar. I’m sure Palmer is fine, he’s carved out a career for himself as a professional which is no mean feat, but it’s just mad money. For that money you surely want a guaranteed difference maker, I’m not even sure Palmer would get a start for two or three teams around them at the top.

Didn’t say we wasn’t, just pointing out that claims of a few extra on the gate are paying for all this is a load of bollocks.

For that price why not just sign Mullin's striker partner for last season Ironside. He clearly knows how to play with him?

We are paying for it with our multimillionaire owners.

The amount in sponsorship we got from Tik Tok and Expedia will have helped too. The increased gates will help as well of course- we will take in over 2 million in gate money alone this season.

Yeah it’s a good point, Fleetwood at least bought players and sold them on for more. Wrexham are doing the equivalent of renting a house, it’s completely dead money with no return. Even when they do go up, who wants Ollie Palmer on a large salary for 3 years in League 2? You’ll have to re-invest again, it’s strange.

Not saying he’s not a good signing but I’d rather stick with Madden and Quigley.

Not sure if he is totally the perfect foil they wanted alongside Mullin.

He’d be a good signing on a free or for a small fee and sure he’ll be decent for them, but the money they’re spending should have them set for the next few years. It’s just putting them in a position where they’re going to have to spend way, way more than is necessary for what they want to achieve.

If he's so shit, we should all just be pleased shouldn't we? Every man for themselves in this league, we all want that one auto spot.

The reality is if he can hold his own in League One, he's probably better than the lad they've got partnering Mullin up top so far this season so it's not a good thing for any of us.

Grimsby fans coming on talking about unsustainable is rich. Their manager has made their 24th signing of the season today and "wants one or two more in" Yes there are a fair few loans, and not big fees but you will be paying their wages, signing on fees etc. That's not sustainable in terms of squad cohesion and perhaps it's the reason they've gone from title challengers to play off hopers.

I'd like us to look at younger players and players in our league. Plenty that would cost a fraction of the price and make us stronger. Sbarra, Lemonheigh-Evans for example.
Harvey and Reed in charge of our recruitment have only every worked in higher leagues and can't seem to look lower then that

Grimsby spent their way up last time and ended up back down here so you can see why they are concerned for us.
