there is so much more for you to do - i have probably played at least another 15 hours past your point and havent even made it to Skellige yet! but then i have been doing similar to you i.e. going around the map clearing the ?? and doing random side quests / witch hunts

Wait until you see all the '?' in Skellige

I've been playing this a lot recently. Now at level 30 and just been back to Kaer Mohen (or whatever it's called). Still loving the game but there's there's a few things that really annoy me:
  • the horse riding mechanics are awful. Roach constantly runs in to things, stops randomly or doesn't jump over things.
  • Missions where you have to follow someone
  • Too many Missions with massive distances between the locations.
  • Long load times (sometimes)
Other than that, great game. Never seen such a large map. Stumbled upon a couple of really powerful enemies and have had to run away a few times.

I've just finished both expansion packs and considering starting a new game +
Great game

Yep, controlling Roach is an absolute nightmare. Not done many follow missions though and load times for me are non existent due to playing on PC :p.

On a roll on Binding of Isaac lately. Got loads of the achievements and item unlocks. Having looked today at what Im missing however, and just how difficult it will be to actually 100% this game...wow...

I shouldnt be surprised. The guy who created this game also made Super Meat Boy...

i 'popped' over to Skellige on the weekend.... so much more to do!

i agree with all of the above though. every time you die it takes a good 3 minutes to reload the game, and in Novigrad i noticed a bit of a stutter when in dialogue with other characters (nowehere else, just Novigrad) - not the only console game to suffer this either (2K Sports im looking at you)

one handy tip if you havent already done it - partake in the horse racing at the Vegelbuds manor - you get loads of upgrades on saddles and storage sacks so im now up to 130 weight capacity

FYI incase you haven't already done so you can get your money back off the captain

Played the Beta when it was out but not the full game yet. Think my lass has got it for me for my birthday in November so I'll get in to it then.

From what I've seen though the campaign looks unbelievable.

my mate bought me it last week. it's reyt good but also reyt buggy, as are all modern battlefield games. the operations game mode is fucking quality and conquest is as good as ever. the campaign is pretty good too, not just tacked on like the last few.

Battlefield ain't usually my thing (aside from Bad Company but that's different you could argue) but I caved to the reviews and got Battlefield 1 when I traded Mafia 3 in and, let me tell you, it's pretty phenomenal. The intro was cool, I really like the vignette style of the campaign - only done the 'Friends in High Places' section so far and then I've had a couple of multiplayer games and am very impressed with that as well. Multiplayer game modes seem awesome - looking forward to trying a couple of full-length Operations matches over the weekend.

I'm reinstalling Bioshock ready to play this evening, I've never played more than ten minutes of it and I feel like I'm missing out.

Tomorrow I'm buying Battlefield 1, great expectations for this game.
The graphics and the gameplay haven't disappointed me. The campaign is short as usual, but maybe a little bit longer than the one in BF4. Now I'm curious to try the multiplayer.

Ang on a sec, go back to before this BF1 talk.

Way back when I started The Witcher 3, I came on here and shat all over Roach saying he was shit and got no support, along with a bunch of "HEEEEY, LAY OFF ROACH!" responses from you shits. Now Cas goes and does it and nobody bats an eyelid and even gets "yeah, I agree" type responses.

You all suck.

Batman VR
One of my favourite VR experiences so far. No fighting though, it's all basically crime scene reconstruction and that. Also very short. Took me about an hour and fifteen to finish it.

So I've met up with Triss and cleaned out a warehouse full of rats. Apart from that I've gone back to Velen to clear out lots of the '?' side stuff. I think I'm gonna try and aquire the diagrams for some of the Witcher gear before I tackle the Novigrad story.

Clive Barker's Undying

Very atmospheric is this game. Great level design, great music and satisfying but rather clumsy gameplay. Story is interesting too and the setting is great. Reminds me of a Resident Evil and Lovecraftian affair.

Does it differ much from the original? Loved it, but don't think I could play the same game again.

Of course it doesn't. It's just another fucking cash-grab.

I played the hell out of Skyrim, but I never actually got anywhere on the main story. Like, I stopped at the mission where you've got to visit the dudes up on the mountain, right near the start... got too damn distracted by side quests and shit. I did the same with the Bethesda game before that, Fallout New Vegas, as well. Which is why I made a point of actively making myself do the main quest on Fallout 4 when it came out, so I'd actually get it done

With that in mind, I am inclined to check out this remaster at some point just to start again and actually do the main quest for a change. But not right now... with all of the releases around this time of year, I just can't justify going back to play an old game. I'll probably wait until it goes cheap next year... if I bother at all. I get that I could just start again on my version I have now but... fuck it, if I'm gonna play it, I may as well be doing it with PRETTY GRAFFICS, am I right? :dk:

Started Uncharted 3. You know what you're getting with these games, but they do it so well. Up to chapter 6 at the Chateau.

Same with Skyrim, got kind of excited when it was announced then remembered I spend all my time grinding skills then starting again because I got bored of my 'was meant to be battle mage but became a stealth archer' character again.
Also for a quest about consuming dragon souls to help save the world the main quest really didn't seem that interesting. Guild quests are always the best.

I finished Bioshock, it's fantastic. I'm installing the second one now ready to play as soon as I've got all the accomplishments in the first one.

How do the sequels hold up to the original?

Still good games, but Bioshock is the standout game of the series. Infinite is more of a standalone experience rather than a sequel. And a bit of mind fuck to boot.

Bioshock > Infinite > Bioshock 2. IMO and that.

You're playing the remastered versions, yeah? How do they run? Read a lot of negativity about crashes and other stuff but I've got 'em both downloaded and ready to play.
