We've lost our local derby in Grimsby and our most local is now NFU!! Next nearest after that is Macclesfield!!!
Our crowds are up 30%...

Wow Lincoln are so massive, I am in awe at your massiveness!!! :bdick:

I think all genuine football fans are pleased that your attendance has increased by so much.
We'd like to see it replicated throughout the Conference.
BTW looking forward to the fixture against Lincoln and listening to their devoted fans supporting team at TNL.

Heard a few murmurs that we're looking at Miller too. I wanted us to sign him when he was at Boston so get to the back of the queue, FGR.

This is really beginning to get annoying. Look we know there are many clubs watching him, shit, there are half a dozen scouts at every game these days, but surely the issue is as much to do with Miller wanting to go as it is apparently our Chairman not wanting him to, and goes without saying we don't want him tom go.
If Forest Green wanted him, which after three bids, two earlier in the season, they obviously do, then if you take the alleged package they gave Tubbs £30K+signing on fee and £2500 a week, it rather sets a financial yardstick, and it's one that we simply could not match or get anywhere near matching and certainly not without alienating everyone else in the squad. You would also assume it would probably knock Grimsby out of the water as well. JP has said he's not for sale, and certainly for the next two months anyway, that will surely be the case?

FGR don't have have any local derby games this season.
Last season we had Cheltenham, which was a sell out crowd, and the season before it was Bristol Rovers.
Removing those games from our average attendance, FGR are attracting more fans to TNL.
We still await the arrival of some big city sides with good away support such as Tranmere or Wrexham.
Of course Grimsby have also gone and they had massive away support, increasing the attendance averages for every Conference club.

And Lincoln do have local derbies this year, do we?

Are FGR really paying Tubbs £2500 a week to go out on loan?

Won't matter when FGR bottle the playoffs again and we can offer league football. Bogle, Miller and Vose has a nice ring to it.

I believe that Lincoln have more nearer games to Sincil Bank than FGR have to TNL.
But does it matter, both of our clubs have increased average attendance this season and are now 1st and 2nd in table.

Check the table: FGR are on course for direct promotion to Football League as Champions, without the problem of play off.
And yes newest Football League club, Forest Green Rovers FC, does have a nice ring to it.

How many points were you in front at one stage last year?
Cockiness is fine, but the more you fail to back it up, the more ridicule you open yourself up to, so be very careful

With or without Miller we are HEAD AND SHOULDERS the best team in this league.

Btw Cooper's quote yesterday when asked about interest in Miller was "it's not my decision"

If our manager wanted to piss the player off and into the arms of other teams, simply come out with the quote he gave to the NL paper today which I have just read, where he was talking about Millers goals

" It hasn't been like that all season" (no it has actually) " At the start we were leaving him out, but we had a chat and told him he needed to do more for the team. He listened and he's shown he's prepared to work!"

OMG is our boss totally deluded?
No-one (possibly Modeste) works harder for the team than Miller. Regardless of the score he runs himself into the ground for the Dover cause, always has done and in every single game he plays, and the only reason Kinnear left him out was because for the first time in quite a few seasons he picked up two yellows and missed a game, as a retaliatory consequence he then made him sit on the bench for four games like one of his chastised school kids.

As I said NFU are our nearest at 43 miles away then its Macclesfield, York and Guiseley at between 80 and 90 miles away.

I think Cooper can suggest players, but it's our technical director/director of football and analytical staff that do a lot of the work regarding transfers, along with DV obviously.

Our scouting network and recruitment is a lot more sophisticated now.

We don't really need him anyway, our 1 goal in 6 games in October was a good finish so we're doing just fine as it is, we don't want to get spoiled again do we! :bg1:

Check the thread and you'll see my reply was in response to pompous post by a Grimsby fan , a team that is no longer in the Conference.
But it is true that there is plenty of games left and a 4 pt gap can easily be absorbed.
For instance D&G managed a draw at TNL and if they beat us in London they will have virtually caught us up.
FGR have not yet played many/most of the top of table teams, let alone beaten any.
But I will say that this time last season even the FGR fans considered some of our wins lucky. This season there is far more confidence around the camp. We expect to put the ball into the back of all our opponents nets and are disappointed not to win.
I think there is one opinion that everybody shares that if FGR don't win title they will certainly end season in promotion zone.
