I know you all don't care/ can't be bothered, but a massive opportunity for us to open up a gap at the top, or for Stevenage to go top themselves.

.....

Anyway, I never take any match for granted, Orient will be desperate for the points. We will be without Sinisalo and Niskanen, meaning Gary Woods in goal unfortunately, plus likely to still have a few out, and yes we still need another striker.
Home full house guaranteed, though sadly I won't be there.

Think it will be tight, I'd take a 1-0 right now.

Ah Gary Woods, played for us at the beginning of our decline in 2015 and got binned off by the regime even though he was actually an ok keeper for us.

We will probably put Beckles and Pratley back in the starting eleven, maybe Piggott too after Wellens admitted last week he picked the wrong team against a more experienced Stevenage team. Our average age was around 23 - we have some talented players but only had 4 with any substantial experience.

I'd expect us to domitate possession at certain points, but we need to be better with it and need to take chances - despite last weeks loss we had a golden chance to take the lead and it wasn't taken. Our squad needs to learn quickly or its going to be a struggle.

I too won't be there as I'm going to the England game in Wroclaw, hopefully the only game I miss this season.

We've not won at Exeter for nearly 23 years now (I still remember it today a 3-2 win coming from 2-0 down), the last three times I've missed Orient games because of England away games we've won, so hoping we at least don't lose this one

On the face of it you’d think two home wins is a pretty strong bet here. Only seen one of these teams in Carlisle and at the moment I get the feeling for them to be able to win they need to score the first goal.

We are missing a lot of players both through injury and international call ups. We dont have a single fit striker and are having to use a semi-retired keeper.

I still think we will win though.

Kinda frustrating our game is off as a great opportunity to build on the momentum we have, means now a lot of Tuesday in the coming weeks.

That said a break might do us good and to take stock... but could go the other way.

Fuck’s sake, had no idea there were only 2 games this weekend. What a massive league we’re in!! Hate international week.

I’ll be there on Saturday and as already mentioned, we’re a few players down. Hoping Aitchison is back from his concussion and also expect Admiral Muskwe to play the first 60 mins up top.

I’m surprised Orient have made a poor start. Always liked how Wellens sets teams up was impressed with some of the business they did in the summer. Piggott should score a fair amount once he’s up to speed.

Expect this will be a tight game and a draw feels likely. But I’ll continue being optimistic and say we’ll nick it 1-0. Aimson to score again for 4 yards.

Hopefully still a top of the table clash to add even more spice to the big A14/M1/A50/A500 derby!

It's been a really frustrating start for us.
With a bit of consistency and momentum I still think we'll be fine in this league, but it's been nothing but injuries, suspensions, suspect refereeing and bad luck on the pitch.
We were deservedly beaten by Pompey and stevenage, but other than that I think we've been very unlucky so far.
That said, it doesn't feel like it's going to turn around any time soon; we will continue to play well, boss possession and create chances, whilst losing by the odd goal.
I'd be very surprised if there aren't 4 teams worse than us come the end of the season, but I would feel a lot more comfortable with a few points on the board please...

Always liked Exeter, great ground and away day (miles better than their weird green cousins).

Narrow home win.

Carlisle haven't scored many this season so far, but we like a battle and so do Steve Evans' teams.
I'll be happy with a point and no sendings off.

There's another international weekend in October and then in November, hate them too, especially if we were due to be a home as our games nearly always get called off.

3 players get called up, game off, 6 or 7 out injured you have to play, never understood that rule.

I'm genuinely sad to miss Exeter away, even though we always lose its always a good day out. On our last visit when we lost 1-0 on a midweek in 2022 my friends and I visited loads of pubs in the city.

Nice position to be in if Exeter and Stevenage can both win to go joint top, and then have a free midweek later in the season.

We've managed to combine international duty and injury with Ciaron Brown and Tyler Goodrham getting injured with their respective squads.

Ironically enough, in one of the other international weekends this season we're due to play Oxford again so that one will be postponed as well.

Not looking forward to this one, never fun going up against a Steve Evans side. He's worked wonders with Stevenage, but his 'style' of football is horrible to watch. They came to Carlisle towards the end of last season (it was 2nd vs 3rd at the time) and basically spent 90 minutes killing the game, it was absolutely awful.

Stevenage recruited well over the summer, and I expect them to be playoff contenders. Big ask for us tomorrow, hopefully the lads are up for the scrap and can a point (or preferably all 3) back on the long journey north.

He also said in that same interview that Simpson wins every time he has anything to do with Carlisle and if he bought a lottery ticket from a shop in Carlisle he’d win.

Mind games.

They could go top if they win and Exeter don’t . We need wins but I’d take a point all day long from this.

Decimated by injuries and call ups.
Playing Cox up front and 16 year old Jake Richards makes his debut.
Not confident.
