Away to the real Dons tomorrow and away to Walsall on Tuesday. Simply put, if we can't beat these teams away we don't deserve to make the play offs. We have some key player's out injured but we should still be capable of winning these games.

Ged Brannan doing a very solid job mate. Upheavel with Adams leaving, key loan players being recalled, Mayor being sold and yet he's replaced them all well and still look a very competitive outfit. Big credit. Right in the play-off mix.

There's loads on here that don't know other teams. If you asked the Notts County fans for their L2 team of the year they'd have about 6 of their own players in it when they're about 12th.

The League 2 team of the year sure will be interesting, once all the league greats playing well below their level are narrowed down to just XI.

6 maybe a push but you can put that guy who only scores goals and the guy who falls down lots and provides record breaking number of assets right now. Stick old man Flint in there and that leaves you plenty of time to argue over the rest.

We are guaranteed a grand total of zero points tomorrow. I'm going, and I haven't seen us win away in the EFL.

Elliott Lee will be in it, but he’s the only one of ours that will stake half a claim.

(O’Connor has been arguably our best player but is pretty unheralded and currently injured).

For me.. I’d go 4411 just to fit DKD in as he’ll end up with 20+ from attacking mid so deserves to go in. Harsh on a few forwards like Evans at Newport. Got to be a Stockport player in there but not sure who. Both full backs look like they’ve had good seasons numbers wise at least? Collar or Bailey? The former been out for a while though hasn’t he?

GK - Pym (Or whoever ends on most clean sheets, currently Pym)
RB - ?
CB - Demetriou
CB - Flint
LB - ?
RM - Crowley
CM - Lee
CM - ?
LM - Jones
AM - Kellior Dunn
ST - Langstaff

I agree we don't have a standout candidate for something like team of the year. Not seen a RB better than Southam Hales but he gets so many injuries and won't be seen again this season. Horsfall has been a great CB for us but would agree at this moment he gets edged out by Flint and Demetriou as they have transformed their teams. Our midfield has lots of very good performers, Sarcevic, Bailey, Collar and even Powell now but because they all have had injuries they have tended to take different months stints in playing well so hard to nail one down as a consistent Team of the year candidate. Louie Barry was immense in the first few months and if he'd stayed fit I think he could have ousted Keilor Dunn in it.

Injuries basically. It'd be a a great achievement if we go up.

Regardless of money spent and squad budget and the advantages it gives any promotion is a great achievement.

Stocky you are seriously running out of time to predict your usual loss or stalemate for the long time league leaders. Or have I missed it?

Personally the team of the year has to be the traditional 4-4-2.

Never know what Walsall will turn up this season so based on that its a tough one to predict.DJ is still injured and a couple of weeks away stags fans lol.

He’ll do as about as much as if he played then  :woot:

Whereas probably not quite as noticeable as flint, mcgoldrick would surely be a candidate in midfield. Been a step above all season, and few give our midfield bother like he did (especially at home)

We don't have a player that has played well all season yet we're right in the promotion mix, Mullin has barely scored a goal. What a job Parkinson has done.

He's top quality and a joy to watch at times, unsurprisingly, and plays deeper as you say. But in a 4-4-2 he's far too attacking to be in the midfield two.

I think Jones and that Langstaff fella might be out only 2 as things stand. Crowley in with a shout.

I'm really not expecting anything from this match. Our squad of even ok players is so small and they look exhausted.

The opposition players who have particularly stood out for me are Aden Flint and Dan Kemp. Then Will Evans and Smith at Salford. I'd struggle after that. Langstaff probably due to the numbers of goals he's scoring.

Of ours only Elliot Lee and possibly George Evans would be in with a shout for a team of the year. As YDG says O'Connor has been one of our standout performers but I'm not sure any of our defence should be in a team of the year.

Jones and Langstaff were my two picks. I'd have Matty Palmer in but he's been injured, he's the main reason we went from third to eighth, results went South when he got injured.
The two standout players I've seen and made an effort to find out who they were are Rob Apter who roasted our defence alive for Tranmere and Kamil Conteh who just broke up so many of our attacks both games against Grimsby.
Gillingham's defence looked great as a unit, Al Hamidi was lethal at Wimbledon against us. Taylor at Colchester played very well against us but we were defensively shocking so hard to tell if he was good or we were awful. Also liked Macauley Bonne but he didn't score many goals and Cold Stockton for Barrow looked a threat a couple of weeks ago. Flint is solid, dominant at Meadow Lane against us.
The way we play doesn't really allow keepers to look stand out as we rarely shoot from distance or bombard them with crosses so I'm struggling to pick a keeper but Stags and Gillingham have tight defences and keepers are a big part of that.

Fancy FGR to beat Crawley today. They're fighting for their lives. We're pussyfooting around.

Lindsey said we were excellent v Walsall on Tuesday. Most fans said Huh!

It's always good to welcome the black & white stripes to Crawley (I wish they'd go back to that). Pop in for a beer before the game if you're coming to the game.

Think our Hutch could get a spot in team of the year 13 goals and 7 assists in a very average team already is a good return for a midfielder.

Unchanged, unsurprisingly. Hope Cotterill's confidence in McCann pays off, he's really fallen short of his price tag so far but SC refused to chuck him under the bus after his pass let Stockton in Tuesday. Surely there's a good player in there just waiting :D

Predictable line-up for Rovers with just fit again Brad Walker replacing McAlear. Unless there's a tactical adjustment to avoid conceding ground so readily fear this will be a walkover for Stockport with two ex-Rovers in their starting xi and a strong looking bench.

Starting with 6 defenders which is only three fewer than the amount of fans Sutton have brought.

Livestream not working which I'm very unhappy about. Losing by a goal but sound like we're playing well and unlucky to be behind according to (Notts) commentator.
