If reading get it abandoned their suspended points deduction for our game against them comes into play so image they won’t knowing that is the outcome (on top of likely another two is their owner doesn’t pay his fine).

Sure we were after Smith in the summer as well as a few clubs so it’s particularly annoying. They seem to be focusing on Wycombe now as well with protests I saw last night.

Suppose the big issue is if Wycombe do buy the training ground would Reading or the owner see the money, plus leaving them needing a training facility.

There’s a big mud-slinging storm going on.

The biggest question from our side is who is the mysterious Georgian billionaire allegedly pumping in the cash (Mikhail Lomtadze) and why us? You’d think if he wants a plaything then why not just buy Reading, with a bigger fanbase and stadium…?

On the other hand, there is now some consortium saying that they’re interested in buying Reading but only *as long as* it’s divested of the training ground, which they see as a white elephant…!

So in short no-one knows what the fuck is going on, other than a couple of football clubs being treated as playthings/business assets.

Mitch Clark returns after his leg break so finally a right back at right back!

Grant and Sang out injured but otherwise same side that did ok at Orient minus arguably the weak link in Sang for an orthodox right back/wing back.

Happy with that largely.

3-0 down and started the game appallingly, yet amazingly we could (and should) have had 5.

Copy and paste…

Decent start, concede a corner… don’t defend it… heads drop. Game gone…

Repeat it Good Friday no doubt.

Two subs before half time. It’s so so frustrating.

Clear offside for the corner in the first place but you should be defending that.

A real scrappy game at Fleetwood. Tough to get anything going on a horrible surface. Fleetwood had the better chances but we probably should have had two pens, with one given and converted

Well, that was a laugh! After starting quite well for 10 minutes, as soon as we conceded we've made Oxford look like Real Madrid.

I kind of knew this was going to happen. Oxford have been on a poor run but in spite of what the guy on here said, they're a good team and we're brilliant at giving teams a confidence boost. We're exactly the type of team they needed to play, sitting and admiring them as they knock it about. My only critique is that they should be 3 up, but fear not, we won't be getting back into this.

A double substitution before half time says all you need to know. We've been hanging on. Ref and linesman not up to it, ridiculous amount of free kicks given for nothing challenges.

Carlisle are one of the worst teams I’ve seen at this level down the years. They have zero intent on even crossing over the half way line, we should easily be a few goals ahead here. Think we’ll finish this off by a goal or two in the second half.

Nice to see Vale, Fleetwood, Burton and Cambridge all losing too. Stays like it is in an hours time and I would say that’s us safe.

Strange game, lots of chances for both sides and lots of mistakes. I say we shaded it due to the one piece of quality for the goal.
Keep this up and we are definitely safe.

Dire, dire game at Adams Park, almost pre-season friendly level.

Neither side showing any clear attacking strategy or cutting edge right now.

Could still go either way, but this is as much of a textbook 0-0 as you’ll see thus far.

I’ve never seen a side as bad at defending corners as us. It’s Sunday league defending. How have we let that ball drop 8 yards out dead centre and given them a free man.

Dan Jones is having a mare as well. I’d throw young Shorrock on here he’s literally admiring their number 30 and not looking to dump him on his backside.

Worst half we’ve put in bar the first 10 minutes all season which is a statement considering how bad we’ve been.

Chances at both ends, Barnsley with the better ones but we've looked threatening going forward for the first time in ages. Probably won't happen but would be massive if we can sneak something here

We seem in free fall. Stevens has lost complete confidence, and been subbed off at half time. We must be the first former club Smith hasn't celebrated against or "shushed", maybe he realises how hard done by we've been by Reading's financial cheating.

We’ve been the better team today. No idea how we are losing this. Their gk has pulled off 2 worldies then they score from a sloppy set piece. They haven’t really offered much other than set pieces.

So frustrating and looks like it’s playoffs again for us. The number of games we’ve been on top this season and conceded a sloppy goal. We really have thrown away those games in hand we had.

And paste again, miss a one on one, concede second phase from a corner game over. Terrible performance and a lot of anger at the end. Far far below the minimum standards we expect at this football club, especially one from a working class area.

Wasn’t a pretty second half, but a good 3 points which should all but see us safe from the drop as results went for us again. Only negative today was that we missed far too many ‘easy’ chances and it should have been more comfortable in the end.

9 points clear of Cheltenham having played two games extra. Looking at their fixtures, I don’t see them catching us. Time to crack open a nice bottle of red and celebrate not having to go to the likes of Salford, Harrogate, Crawley, Accrington, etc.

We are shit, because we spent within our means. Reading will stay up because they spent money they didn't have, and the EFL refuse to do anything about it.

Harris leaving has really put us in the shit, and Monk is currently failing to reignite the demoralised squad Harris left behind. But this is the team Bonner and Strang assembled, playing with the defeatist attitude they have bred in the last year or so.

You're welcome Florrie.
Thanks for your massive 3pts last Tuesday
And we've still got Cheltenham and your "Potty" neighbours to come. Hope we can return the favour.
See you next season

What the hell is going on with us? We just can't stop scoring.

Electric start today and Bristol R didn't know what to do, soon 3-0 up. They had to make a change to stop us and fair enough rest of the first half we're the better side. They had 2 1 on 1s they missed and another good save from Jensen.

2nd half we started well and the 4th seemed to knock Bristol R once and for all.

The less said about the ref the better, how he gave them a pen ill never know, looked liked a clean tackle. They couldn't even convert that.

Then went down to 10 men, Erhahon who should have had 2 yellows again Stevenage was rightly sent off. Even at that point and down to 10 men, we scored a 5th.

Bristol Rovers looked a better side than Cambridge, no way was it a 5-0 game, but when we are as clinical as we are, Amazing. Not sure how we kept a clean sheet today but I'll take it.

Now leap above Blackpool and Stevenage with just Oxford above us. Crazy situation.

That was comfortably the worst we have been all season which is saying something. Fleetwood really should have capitalised and won the game but couldn't. We completely capitulate in defence from long throwings. I'm glad that game is over. A real tough watch in which literally every single thing we did was terrible. It was honestly bizarre how bad some things were

Amazingly we probably had more chances yet get spanked 5-0. You guys were as clinical as you can get, although we do make it very easy for the opposition to score.

Still felt like a 0-0 in terms of quality yet somehow we manage to get 2 goals out of a holding midfielder who’s not even supposed to score.

The magic 50 points reached, could be seeing some squad rotation and kids thrown in, which could be good news for the relegation dogfight sides still to play us.

Good point for us and we'll deserved. Ultimately we still need wins starting with Fleetwood in two weeks but to to away to free scoring Barnsley and limit them to very little, especially second half, is encouraging. Everyone from Reading up should be safe now. Burton and Cambridge are in freefall and doing their best to give us a chance.

Is this the most goals you’ve scored within a week in your history? Have to say, everybody has noticed you firing in the goals. I had Lincoln to score 2+ goals on my acca today at 6/5 odds. Really hope you gatecrash the play offs and win them!

Agreed, never seen a team have as many chances, yet not convert one. It was all about that start to the game. We'd already done the damage at 3-0.
