Can we fit both McCoulsky and Stevens in the same team. Shaun's been on fire this pre-season.

We beat Lincoln in a routine 2-0 win. I think that was mostly their starting 11 so not a bad win.

We’ve had a stinker so far against Bury’s team of trialists! 2-0 down should be more! Maybe a few decisions to unmake for Saturday

Rochdale 0-1 Bradford City HT

Match abandoned - waterlogged.

Sounds like we were giving Rochdale a hard time, and it could’ve been 3/4-0 at HT.

Eoin Doyle with the goal.

Losing 1-0 to Ross County. Christie Elliot has gone off with a groin strain.

107 Carlisle out of 735 in Dingwall.

Full radio commentary on BBC Radio Cumbria for this one.

Rest of the first half we didn't sound too great, even allowing for home commentary; made a few subs at the half which I suppose isn't ideal for your final friendly, been attacking a bit more.

according to Chris Lumsdon, Kwame Thomas is nowhere near fit enough for League football.

According to James Phillips the team as a whole are 'off the boil, off pace and off colour'

Beat Torquay 2-1 at Plainmoor.

They went ahead early through Duku and we equalised just before half time with a scrambled goal from Tom Parkes.

We took the lead in the second half when Ajose set up Randell Williams who scored.

Not much happened after that and we sounded fairly comfortable from the commentary.

Seems like Ajose and Williams were are two most impressive players. On to the real thing next week at home to Macc.

Lost 2-1 to Bury after a horror show of a first half then a dominant second half!

Second half team is the best XI for next week I’d say.

2-0 Ross

we don't sound like an actual football team now.

Christie Elliott going off with a groin injury is a blow. Now we don’t have a right back and we’re one week away from the season starting.

Dreading next week in all honesty. Hopefully we’ll get some signings this week. We need a right back, at least 2 forwards and a central midfielder minimum, but that’s a lot to ask from our inept recruitment staff. I’d be surprised if we get 2 in. Not convinced the trialists are worth signing but we may have no choice but to offer them short term deals.

Worryingly Pressley seems to be making the same mistakes as he did last season. Lack of physicality and defensive nous in midfield, lack of striker options.

I think the shambolic amateurish preparations we’ve had this preseason will really come back to bite us next Saturday. It’s going to be a long hard season of struggle.

As I say I am dreading it, but I really want to try and savour it as this will be our last season in the football league, probably for a long long time.

Beat Wrexham away 1-0 Kirk scoring in the 2nd half. Another 2 wins today, which surely hands us the pre season trophy. Still another game for the fringe players to play at Colwyn Bay on Tuesday.

Lost 2-0 to a strong Peterborough team, 2 good goals from Eisa and Dembele. We could and should have scored a couple but Pym was fantastic. If we keep James Hanson fit, we’ll be alright this season.

Well, Chris Lumsdon was asked after the match if there were any positives to take from today. His answers were 'fitness, that's another game under their belt, and no injuries to senior players'.

Think we're assuming Elliot coming off was just a niggle. HG's rampant pessimism means this isn't the first time I think that a player has walked off the pitch clutching part of his anatomy and HG has assumed this means he'll be out for a good portion of the season.

We’ve lost 2-0 at home to Stockport. Sounds like we’re still well off the pace.

Lost 2-0 to Accrington, played alright first half then we just went to pot after we missed a pen early into the second half. Playing 1 upfront is a grim watch when you're shit.

We got dicked 3-0 at Hartlepool. I fear all these last minute player departures have officially fucked us.

A few nailed on for relegation after today
Yet come next Saturday, Carlisle and Macc will probably be top of the league. Pre season means nothing. It's nailed on now we've had a good pre season we will now struggle.

Yeah, probably about 75% of the way there. Bostwick played his first minutes of pre-season today, Chapman won't start league games, there was no Frecklington, O'Connor or Pett, Anderson was on the bench and we've only got one senior striker at the minute in Akinde because we sold Rhead a couple of days ago.

We've played two other games this week as well (Stoke on Tuesday and Derby U23's on Wednesday).

You don't need me to tell you but you were pretty rotten today, clipped the crossbar from a free kick in the first half and had a bit of possession but you were awful.

We lost 3-2 to Burnley U23s and go through pre-season without a single victory. We have no midfield to speak of and apparently all 3 goals for Burnley was poor defending.

Can't wait for the season to get started...

Well that’s not going to happen. Even if by some miracle we win our opening game, with our lack of attacking threat there’s no way we’ll score the goals required to put us top of the league after 1 game.

Beat Norwich U23s 2-1 with goals from Lee Angol and Josh Wright.

Dean Brill played 60mins and should've done alot better for the goal we conceded.

Second half Norwich offered very, very little and we got a deserved win. Six goals for Lee Angol who's looked quite good in all the friendlies.

The team which started the game, will be the one that starts next week against Cheltenham.

An unbeaten preseason for us, first one we've probably ever had. This means defeat is inevitable next week now!!!

Joking aside, after the tragic events of the summer our squad seem determined to push on. We won't pull many trees up but we will give everyone a tough game.
