So first-teamers were included from 60 mins onwards?

Rule 2:
Games must be first team games. A squad of players with 1 first-teamer does not count. I suggest more than 6 first teamers in the 90 mins count.

Drew 1-1 away at Stourbridge with 7 out of the starting 11 being made up of our youth team. We made three substitutes and all those that came on were also youth players.

More than matched them, good performance. Bodes well for the upcoming season.

Lost to Wimbledon 1-0. Not a great performance by all accounts. Hopefully it'll be one of those pre seasons that are crap and we'll have a good season. Seem many smaisng pre seasons and getting relegated. Under Cook we lost to Sutton when they were non league and we ended up winning league 2 that season. Bit worried that Bishop has not played many minutes pre season

Drew 1-1 at Dagenham, George Moncur scored our goal. Both sides missed a few easy chances.

Colchester away on Saturday now.

And the penultimate table (table amended following the addition of BFS Siofok 2-3 Wigan from 8th July):

By my rudimentary maths, every team down to Cheltenham in 8th can still win the prestigious League 1 Pre-Season Friendly Title.

These are the remaining fixtures that I have:
28/07/2023
Tranmere v Wigan

29/07/23 & 30/07/23
Barnsley v Crewe
Blackpool v Hibernian
Bolton v West Brom
Bristol Rovers v Chesterfield
Scunthorpe v Burton
Barnet v Cambridge
Carlisle v Dundee United
Charlton v Aberdeen
Derby v Sheffield United
Exeter v Coventry
Fleetwood v Grimsby
Colchester v Leyton Orient
Lincoln v Rotherham
MK Dons v Northampton
Oxford v QPR
Peterborough v Birmingham
Doncaster v Port Vale
Portsmouth v Bristol City
Reading v Swansea
Shrewsbury v Notts County
Morecambe v Wigan
Wycombe v Cardiff
Newport v Cheltenham

Have Wigan really had only one friendly? Or are they only doing 4 quarter games or something?

I've only seen two friendlies for them, the first was a two 60 mins against Hearts and then Everton last week.

Edit: I've just seen they played a game in Hungary back on 8th July, which they won 3-2, so will get it added.

I don't think any of the second string/youngsters gave Kennedy food for thought last night.

Rotherham on Saturday will be a decent test, I imagine our starting XI for that will be more in keeping with the Crewe game last weekend.

Started the season on top, then sank like a stone. Sounds very familiar....

I think Joe Jacobson's been very short-sighted in picking Cardiff City as the opposition for our final friendly - for his testimonial.

We have a real chance of entirely imaginary silverware here, and he's selfishly risking our shot at glory just because he wants to face his boyhood club!?

Surely he played for at least *someone* before Cardiff, anyway? I'd happily take on Llandaff U10s or suchlike if he wants to go back to his roots for his testimonial.

That said, tabletoppers Derby County at least face some stiff opposition of their own in Sheffield United this weekend.

Looking forward to the weekend in Lincoln.
Will we be ok in the Golden Eagle?

Ended pre-season with a 4-3 win over West Brom.

4 superb strikes.

Some daft mistakes defensively but, we can cut them out.

Roll on the start of the season.
