Interesting it said in Macclesfield programme that Lincoln took 318 earlier in season on a Saturday,
Lincoln fans was slagging our Away following in trophy but we managed to take 320 on a crap Tuesday night,
Did a bit of research and both 60 miles from Macclesfield.

Just looked when this Macc v Lincoln game was and it was in back in August, and most of the Lincoln fans at the FA Trophy game will not have been Lincoln supporters back in August as Lincoln were not top of the league back then so that will probably be why not that many went to Macclesfield....

Probably never heard of them back then, and that's probably why they can't remember when they got crowds of just over 2000

Not true.

Every Lincoln fan has been on a 5 year holiday since they got relegated. They literally couldn't have made it to a single away game in that time.

The away attendances have nothing to do with form and all supporters would have gone to away games in they were in mid table like the last 5 seasons.

I wish the locals around us would jump on the bandwagon. We're level on points with Lincoln, yet we're struggling to sell out our Wrexham allocation. I'm jealous that Lincoln are getting the support they are, good luck to them in the playoffs.

Thought Torquay had most of the crowd, till I realised SM played in yellow and blue :-(
Why do I think they were red?
Mind 200-250 away looks about right.....a fair effort that

Those kinds of fans don't stick arpund. In twelve months Tranmere will still be getting crowds of 4-5 thousand. Lincoln could well be back down to 2 if they have a poor season.

Our away kit is red. It was a very good effort from Torquay, I wouldn't like to see them go down. Apologies for the awful match on Tuesday.

Even in a poor season Lincoln would still be getting 3,500 next season.

It is a poor showing from our supporters. They are a strange bunch. We took over 2,000 to Southport for a bog-standard fixture and 1,700 to Macclesfield on a wet January day, yet a lot of them can't get up for this game. Sad to say, a lot of them would rather watch the Merseyside derby on TV. Personally, there is no fixture in the football calendar that interests me less.

There is no need to be jealous of Lincoln, however. Our core support is much bigger: we have not averaged under 5,000 in a season since the late eighties.

Yes,your home crowds are very good.
A real contrast to the EARLY eighties.

A win on Saturday and I think Aldershot will see our biggest following this season.

How many do you think Tranmere could bring down to Kent on the last day of the season for a 12.15 kick off? I can see it being segregated and even all ticket if we both have something to play for.

If the title is in the balance, whatever you can give us I suppose! Hopefully we'll be celebrating together. It's more realistic that it'll be meaningless for us, in which case, probably 300 or so.

FGR away support for last game of season will be interesting.
Away to York (over 200 miles and around four hours travelling).
FGR will probably need to win game to secure a high play-off spot while York could well need a win to remain in the Conference.
A very early start but possibly one of FGRs best of season away support.

As in the FGR fan might bring his cat as well as the dog?

Regardless of Saturday's result I could see us getting 2500+ home fans next week, if you bring a few it wont be far off 3000!

Now, now don't be naughty.
I checked away support tables and agree ours in embarrassing low.
22nd in table with average of 1480.
http://www.footballwebpages.co.uk/national/attendances/away
Even the other village club in Conference, North Ferriby United, has an average away support of 1618.
Of course FGR don't have any local teams since Cheltenham and Newport were promoted and Kidderminster relegated.
But nevertheless we do have more away supporters than a fan and his dog.

Should we have a positive outcome on Saturday then I feel there'll be 500+.

Add to the fact we usually get a result at the Rec..it could be a good day!

You usually bring a decent following to the Rec, hopefully we won't be giving you the 3 points as we actually need them this year (last two years we played you we had nothing to play for!)

Be lots of disappointed Rovers fans if there's something riding on the game... expect the odd Birkenhead accent in the home end unless it's all ticket.
If the game matters, guaranteed it'll be all ticket. Remember we're not Boreham Wood with only 200 home fans :p
