We've not even looked like scoring recently, while (from reading on this forum) Mansfield are creating plenty of chances but not taking them. Should be a good day, I think there'll be about 500 travelling down which isn't too bad considering our form in 2017.

Raynes could return this weekend, but Jones is now out for the season which is a blow. We signed two unknown young lads on Tuesday, and close to signing two more.

We just need a win out of somewhere to give us some confidence for the run-in. Would take the scrappiest 1-0 tomorrow.

Mansfield are and always have been light weight at this level, yes for sure they get the odd good run here and there and their players show flashes of quality too sometimes, but for years they have never ever looked like a team who would ever count as a L2 promotion/play off contender really. They try to look good, just without ever coming close to achieving anything.

Oh here we go again...

How many times have we seen this? Carver absolutely roasts the opposition in the build up to a game, then come Saturday the opposition absolutely roast us on the pitch.

For what it's worth, despite the surprise 0-0 score line on Tuesday, we still look a really poor side who don't score goals and more often than not concede bucket loads.

I'm expecting a comfortable 3 goal win for Mansfield which should give them a good confidence boost to kickstart their playoff push.

I'm going to this match. Why I'm going I do not know as I have zero confidence in this shower of shite to produce anything to cheer about.

Am I the only one concerned at this roasting metaphor?

I'm not going to Mansfield with any confidence or expectations today, with our injuries and lack of form we're looking at another defeat.

But if we can just hang on and scrape a point, preferably scoring a goal in the process, it could be important because Mansfield are currently 10th but if as expected they turn us over, they'll be 3 points behind us.

What a boring c***, I don't think he goes either.

"We're so shit, we can't score goals, we can't defend, we'll never win ... but if we can play well and score/win then it'll be a hell of a result"

It's the same every single post - goes all out with his prediction of us being clart and then subtlety (is that even a word?) tries to cover his own arse in case we pull it out of the bag.

HG OUT!

How the fuck do you work that one out? I'm fucking willing us to win! That's why I'm here. Unless i see it with my own eyes I won't backtrack on us being clart. We were still shite on Tuesday even though we got a point.

Unless a corner or free kick lands for us I can't see where a goal is going to come from.

Mansfield well on top, better players, better quality, their players are quicker and can actually beat their man. A bit wasteful in the final third having created only one clear chance but I'm sure if it carries on as it is it's only a matter of time.

Really difficult to watch us at the moment. It's like our players are already beaten and are just waiting for the inevitable.

No doubt Mansfield will be on here saying we are the worst team they've faced all season.

As if somone who gives our team so much stick would ever bother to go to an away match during the sort of run we're on!

Yes it sounds as if it's been dire, we might as well play the new striker we just signed and see if it pays off because it doesn't look like we're going to score anyway.

That was fucking dreadful. Not a single positive to take from that.

2 points above 8th now. Only a matter of time before our top 7 position goes for good.

It is of course still there for the taking but we are not going to get any better. We've been shite since late December and are only getting worse. Our inability to score or even create a chance of note means I wouldn't be surprised if we don't win another game all season.

The way I'm feeling now I'm thinking I should give up for the season. No point wasting any more money on away games when we're producing that level of shite.

I was more positive leaving field mill 2 seasons ago after a 3-2 defeat when we were bottom. At least there were signs of hope. Today absolute jack shit.

I'd left before the very end, but it kicked off amongst our own fans because someone was holding a Nixon banner and impeding a bald blokes view. He was red with rage! Then it kicked off again amongst our fans and stewards because of the Nixon out chants.

That was a disgraceful performance, not one player comes out with credit. Pure fucking shite the lot of them. Never mind no more wins HG., will we score another goal. Once again not a clear cut chance, despite Mansfield being a bit meh.

Them players don't care, how some fans were arguing it was an ok performance is quite unbelievable. Them twats deserved all the abuse they got, fucking pathetic.

Just learnt that we've set a new club record. 6 games without scoring a goal.

I'd imagine we'll be breaking that record again next week.

Honestly I feel like giving up completely

So this bald c*** was upset at our fans who want much needed change at the club? Who the fucking fuck would be sad enough to ever defend somone like Nixon?

Thats what having a dodgy chairman does to you, over a decade of being average, then very poor then average again.

Thank god we now have a good optimistic chairman and a club that is ran properly being led by a manager who knows what he's doing. so your summary of us trying to put us down might be true but the future is looking good and todays result was needed.

I knew if we could hold them first half playing against the wind, then playing with wind second half we would win easily.

Only way United were going to score was from a corner, but we defended them well.

Both teams lost a player injured early in the game but I don't think it made much difference.

It is difficult to see Carlisle making the play offs with their powder puff attack.

I know I said a few weeks ago that this current team is nearly as bad as the side that nearly got relegated 2 seasons ago, but on today's showing it's worse. That side had Kyle Dempsey and Charlie Wyke, we were capable of bagging a goal.

This current shower of shite is toothless, lacks creativity, is slow, lacks in technical ability, leaks goals for fun.

Put it this way, it's the worst team in the football league. Thankfully we over achieved first half season so have no relegation worries. If the season started tomorrow this team would get relegated
