Wouldn't bother tuning into our game if I were you, our home games are always awful.

For those who are eagerly awaiting my thoughts on our attendance tomorrow, I'll go for just shy of 8000 this time. 7900.

That’s massive for the day before a game, proper fans.

I think the most Brotherly thing you could do for this one given as our current beleaguered status is CRITICAL is to let us have the win and get a fellow Brothers season back on track.

But if we let you beat us then there is a chance Boreham Wood would go top and that would be very un-brotherly.

In fact they could if we draw so after some consideration, the brotherly thing to do would be for you to step aside and let us have the points.

Need a bounce back from our horror show at Kiddy last weekend. Wealdstone away won't be easy. Hoping for a 2-1 win though. Interestingly we can go top next Tuesday night if we win on Saturday and Chesterfield don't. So long as we actually won Tuesday aswell.

Albeit Cheterfield and Boreham would both have a game in hand.

Need points on the board before our very tough Christmas schedule.

Another away day for me Saturday, which will be lovely until I have to suffer witnessing Southend United. I'll keep optimistic and say we'll score a goal, but it'll be at least 3-1. I'm actually hoping that if we're going to lose, highly likely, that Notts can get some goals, like 5 or 6, I don't want another game where we manage to keep it close but do sod all.

I'm averaging 5 goals a game over every game I've attended this season, so come on Notts don't let me down.

We rarely score more than two in a game.

Hopefully can get a win without too many dramas here - we’ve even had the advantage of two weeks with our feet up while Southend had to play on Tuesday.

Feel we’re going into a defining period with Southend, Chesterfield, King’s Lynn, Wrexham and Dover being our next five. Can’t afford any slip ups in the other three games to set us up for the two big ones.
Those two big games against Kings Lynn and Dover are enough to scare the beejeesus out if anyone......

With regards our home game.
It's on the Tele, we don't do well on screen.
It's a home game so will be drab most likely as we attempt to batter our way through a wall of defenders.
So, all in all, confident of a win.

Who is it against? Whipesnade? Welwyn?

I dont care if we play badly, we just need a win. Keep those points ticking over until we buy the league in January.

We’ve been relatively shit against the weaker teams this season so not massively confident against Southend. Scrappy draw or 1 goal win are the form horses.

Fun fact; Southend are one of only 2 teams I’ve seen us score 6 against.

Got my ticket for this one, would never miss Grimsby away. Last time I was there, that game all but confirmed our relegation from the football league for the first time in our history… I think we’re due a bit revenge for that day!

In terms of the squad, I think Croll is doubtful after he hobbled off against Salford and with Williams returning to the squad from being cup tied, I think JR may choose to leave him out as a precaution regardless of whether he’s recovered well. I also think Danny Rowe may make his long anticipated return to the squad this weekend, as this was the game JR earmarked for his return a few weeks back. He definitely won’t start, probably 15/20 mins at most, but will be great to have him back. Jack Clarke is also back now after returning against Salford, so that’s another big boost for the bench! He’s got a job on dislodging Kellerman from that XI as he’s been outstanding..

All things above considered, my XI would be:

Loach
Williams - Grimes - Whittle
Mandeville - Weston - Oyeleke - Miller
Kellerman - Khan
Tshimanga

Subs:
Kerr
McCourt
Clarke
Payne
Rowe

I’ve seen Grimsby have apparently got a few regulars missing for this one? Any Grimsby fans on here able to tell us which players they are?

Mandeville at RWB is a concern… that can’t continue until king / Carline are back surely?

I’d have Kerr RCB and Williams at RWB.

Our record against Eastleigh is nothing short of abysmal, so expecting our unbeaten run to end here. Probably a 2-1 defeat

Surely we won't start Whittle at cb. He's done a job there but would be targeted. Left beck for me with Miller at rb. Then we can play 3 cbs at cb...

Definitely this. Whittle and Miller at full back for me then Croll/Kerr, Williams and Grimes are CB.

Hopefully see Khan back into the side. Clarke should make the bench too.

Looking forward too it - on a fairly early train into Cleethorpes. Our police have said we aren't welcome before midday but I am working on the assumption this is bollocks and we will be fine in one of the bars along / off the front that seem to open up from 11

Classic 1-0 Hursting for Chesterfield I reckon. The man's job depends on this game, that much is clear.
No worries, he won't be sacked till he's lost to Halifax on the telly, in the New Year. Losing to Halifax is ALWAYS the ultimate humiliation. :ds:

Ah! Notts County, forever twinned, or is it tripletted, with Garforth and Chasetown.

TV = bottle show

I would genuinely be interested to see our record correlating tv games vs results.

only good ones I remember were a Pogba winner vs AFC Wimbledon and a genuinely good game vs Luton at the Racecourse.

You're welcome to arrive in Cleethorpes whenever you like. Absolute nonsense from the police that they think they can tell football supporters when they're allowed to turn up in another town. You should expect them to have both Grimsby Town and Cleethorpes stations surrounded though, so come armed with your best non football related excuse for visiting if you want to avoid being herded by them into a crap pub for 3 hours before being escorted to the ground.
