Game turned on the worst refereeing decision I've seen. Braintree player passes back to the goalkeeper, Ugwu intercepts, scores but the linesman has his flag up for offside and the referee gives Braintree a free-kick. Unbelievable. That would have put us 3-1 up just before half-time.

That said, we managed to concede three goals to a Braintree side that will get relegated.

For the first time this season, I feel like we might actually go down.
Sounds like you were hard done by there. Surely the referee could have ignored the linesman if it was that obvious, as it is it sounds like none of them were concentrating on the game.

That is probably the most bizarre thing about the whole incident. The linesman was on the other side of the pitch so clearly thought a Woking player had passed it, even though it was clear that one hadn't. Why the referee couldn't have waited BEFORE making the decision I have no idea. He could have even run over to the linesman and fourth official to check what was going on. Hilariously, he ran over to the linesman once he'd given the free-kick. What could they possibly have been talking about? "I think I got that one wrong"..."Yeah you did, and so did I".

Classic case of part-timers getting reffed out by the National League.

North Ferriby have scored 1 goal in their last 12 games. What a league.
Fully deserved. What a horrible bunch of cloggers they are, I'm glad that their anti football tactics didn't work. Less fans than players as well.

Good win for us but the injury to Beevers looks a bad dislocated kneecap is thought to be the injury defending a free kick that never was! Thanks ref!
Rhead scored a Berkamp flick for the second...

0-0 it finished in the famous Silk FM derby. Could and maybe should have been a narrow Macc win given that we hit the post three times in the game and twice during the final few minutes. Very entertaining game nonetheless.
Wouldn’t argue with that although a draw was the correct result in my opinion, couldn’t have moaned if you nicked it with that little late flurry of chances though.

Decent game and both sides played some good stuff at times. Good to see our BRICK WALL keep another team out. Definite injury crisis after this though ahead of Lincoln on Saturday with two more limping off, Ross Killock must be the most unlucky footballer ever.

Nine unbeaten.

Killocks injury was caused by chappell getting in his way; killock should of just cleared him out and taken the ball. He sort of slipped awkwardly, doing the splits almost!?.

Good to come away with the draw. Though macc had scored when that last shot hit the inside of the post. Also though chappell had scored after that run. Would have been tough on Macc if we pinched it. 530 chester i think.

For sixty minutes, I have to say our county neighbours were piss poor and was no surprise to anyone when Miller gave us the lead. Was really chuffed to see Lafayette finally get back on the score sheet and hopefully a lot more will come now. But then on the hour Miller got booked and Kinnear dragged him off. The man is demented!
Coincidentally or not at that moment all the momentum appeared to shift and we were indebted to our custodian who made some cracking saves, and we needed at times some stoic defending, Stirling had a cracking game, to keep the scoreline as it was. Still thoroughly deserved the points though and it should be an interesting game Saturday.
The only problem is, Millers booking could be his fifth and he may miss the match against Tranmere, and that would be a huge blow in the wobbly bits!

What is demented about substituting your best player who has just been booked and is a bit of a hot head at times when you are 2-0 up and have a huge couple of weeks coming up?

I can't comment much on our first half as I got there half an hour late, but in the hour of the match I did see we absolutely murdered York, and they'll look at a 2-0 defeat as being quite flattering. We're starting to look like a football team.

Scored 3 in one game, guiseley i think.... To be fair they should have scored against us last night after a defensive mix up. I think the forward missed as he became confused as he raced in one on one with our keeper as to whether he should bury the oppertunity or dribble it to the corner flag and waste more time it left him in 2 minds and he did neither.

Felt a bit sorry for nfu last night they came with a plan to stop us playing and take a point , they nearly pulled it off, some of our more vile supporters really laid into them as they left the field it wasnt a pretty sight and certainly did the reputation of our club no favours with any neutrals who happened to be in the directors box, or potential investors for that matter.

One things for sure if nfu can stumble on a couple of goalscorers they could stay up...... Boy can they stick to a plan and defend doggedly

North Ferriby have scored 1 goal in their last 12 games. What a league.

Difficult to score goals when your sole tactic is to waste time from the first minute.

A lesson in instant Karma for NFU last night, the last three minutes they got exactly what they deserved. I actually agreed with the Norwood red though, when him and the goalkeeper jumped up he appeared to swing an arm/elbow in the direction of the keeper. Silly boy if he did, no need at all at that stage of the game when we were 1-0 up.

That's a horrendous decision at Woking. I mean, it's clear as day what's happened.

As for Beevers, a ruptured patella tendon and a dislocation of the kneecap(?) sounds paintful. Shame, because he's definitely been our most improved player this season and arguably up there with Woodyard for the best so far.

That is an absolute disgrace. Even worse than I remember it.

The National League are reffing us out of this division and there is not a single thing we can do about it.
Karma really is a bitch right? Remember your 'penalty' on Saturday!

Feel for you, that was truly abysmal officiating

7 for us.

Should be a cracker Saturday, two teams full of confidence. Not looked forward to a home game this much in ages, expect we'll have our biggest turnout of the season and you must be bringing a few as well? Be nice to have a busy and loud away end for a change.

I just knew you would disagree, and I do so apologise for having an alternative opinion. But I have to ask if you ever go to these games. Because coincidentally when he was taken off, as so often happens, we lose the outlet he provides, and for the first time, in fact the only time in the game they looked threatening came thereafter, when scrambles, goal line clearance and a couple of really good Walker saves ensued, and though they would have never deserved it, they could have actually got back in a game they were never in. That's why in "my opinion" I think it's an absurd ploy. Lets take him off because he can be a hot head at times. What rubbish, what happens if he got booked after ten minutes, do you still take him off?
Apologies if we always disagreeing, but to me it is ridiculous especially as all it does is alienate the player, and though not you obviously, which is fine, a lot of the supporters

We won the match, and didn't concede. Much more important that he's available for Tranmere/Cambridge than leaving him on on the off chance that taking him off costs us the match.

I completely agree with you about what happens when we take him off, but that doesn't mean it's wrong to take him off. One of the other attackers we have should take responsibility - we seem clueless without Miller on the pitch, which is precisely why it was so important that he didn't get sent off.

Alienate the player? I don't think so, he knows he's being taken off for his own good. Alienate the supporters? I don't think so either, nobody I know left Bromley unhappy or feeling alienated yesterday, or Crabble on Saturday.

You'll be pleased to know that he's not suspended, and hopefully his illness will have disappeared by then and he'll be up to full fitness ;)
