Until today I was quite confident of getting something off a Chester side who haven't won a match since we put them out of the FA Cup, especially considering how little they showed in that match. Now Callum Howe has been recalled by Lincoln and with us having no obvious replacement at centre-half (Liam Nolan may have to drop back there) I'm not so sure.

Would be reasonably happy with a draw at home to Woking given they battered Maidstone at the weekend and it'll be our third game in 6 days (Magri's 5th game in 10 days if he plays).

Be surprised if we get more than 800 through the gates too, £45 in 6 days is understandably a big ask for some supporters.

Enjoyed my visit to FGR last year, what a splendid part of England Nailsworth is. Can't make it this time around as i'm in Vietnam. With FGR's top six league one budget i'd take a point now!

Suppise we've got to win these games if we want to challenge for the title.

I'm very wary of Maidstone's 4G pitch and the fact we are down to the bare bones. I was over the moon to beat York even though they're on a dire run because of our ridiculous injury situation. Guttridge probably won't play in this one because his knees won't be up to the pitch.

Maidstone seem pretty pants at the moment so I imagine it'll be a scraped win either way.

And us but such is the gap in quality between the top eight and the rest.
hoping to give Guiseley a good stuffing - but strange things happen in football sometimes....
Good win on Saturday against a Solihull side that played very well 2nd half...
That game was won as the players shook hands before kick off - both Barrow goals were headers and you could see the height difference....
hoping for and expecting 3-1 or 4-1, but would settle for a scrappy 1-0 win and FGR dropping points in their attempt to bottle the league (again)

We've only picked up 4 points from the last 5 games and yet we've remained in 12th spot. Would have expected us to drop to about 16th. We were brilliant at Tranmere, but on Saturday we were as poor as anything under Burr last season. Can see another draw tomorrow.

Play like we did on Saturday we'll get humped. Play like we did in the second halves at FGR and Lincoln and we'll do the humping. Waddock has hinted at changes after Saturdays pathetic display, so it may shake a few up a bit. I only hope he plays Kanu through the middle, the lad is wasted out on the wing, and McClure desperately needs a rest to accommodate that, he's so out of form it's painful to watch.

I thought we'd recalled Howe just for cover but with Raggett suspended, it seems McCombe, who you'd expect to come in, is struggling with an injury and is having some sort of injection on Thursday that'll keep him out for a month.

We've got a few bumps and bruises to Waterfall, Rhead and Woodyard but all three will probably play.

Need to be winning these games.

First midweek since starting my new job that I'll be at. Expect a cricket score, but that's not gonna stop me enjoying myself

You should be beating us Saturday. I'm not trying to be Mr Negative but we're struggling. The current crop are absolutely shattered. You're in great form so I'd happily take 4 points from the next 2 if you offered it to me now.

Why? With both Jennings' injured and Vaughan/Harris suspended, it's only up-front that we'll be at full strength, even there an interesting dilemma of sticking with Mangan or recalling Norwood. Would say it's a good time to play us, but I'll happily join you in a rain dance.

Deserved your draw, with more clinical finishing could have beaten us, but a bit OTT unless the Chester brilliance bar is set very low.

If we can get our heads right and turn in a performance tomorrow night I'll be a lot more hopeful of our overall chances. Still not sure I've seen us really commanding a game, even Shots away was helped by the sending off after the fast start. We've surely got the quality so if Tranmere are missing a couple we need to be making up for Saturday and maintaining the gap.

With our defence and midfield you wont have any problems winning.

Its pretty easy to beat us....just keep the the ball on the deck and pass it around. We run around like headless chickens trying to get the ball off the other team to pretty much no effect :ffs:

With our quality squad and top management we're more then capable of bouncing back from Saturdays clusterfuck of a last 10 against anyone, just think we could do with a bit of an easier game first. Like Wrexham.

We do indeed Luke.
Lets hope its on with all the rain we've had and more expected given the fact the Bootham Crescent pitch turning into a lake when we go at the first sign of rain.

Gutted that Torquay away is on a Tuesday night for us. Hopefully we are both around here next season and we can go there on a Saturday. Our next 3 matches are Torquay, NFU and Southport. I want 6 points.

Expecting a good away turn out tomorrow, lots of people will have made the choice between FGR and York, could even touch 800.

We've had some very close games with Guiseley in recent years, and I don't recall ever beating you that easily(?). We always cock things up against a team that's doing terribly, and kick-start their season.
I'm anticipating one or two changes (our side must be the most consistent XI in the league - I think there's about 6 who have started every game), and that might be a bit of a gamble.
On a personal note, I've always liked Guiseley (used to live in Horsforth), so after tomorrow it'd be great if you could pull your fingers out and get climbing the league!

Good news that Ricky Miller is suspended for Dover. It means we'll only have to worry about Moses Emmanuel, Ross Lafayette and Tyrone Marsh. Our record at Crabble in recent times isn't great.

Hopefully Dover will be shattered after playing their eleventh game in five days.

We don't like Tuesday nights away from home and going on the Sutton game, we're not massive fans of 4G either. A game that we *should* really win, but a game I've got a feeling we'll inevitably lose 1-0.

I'd be amazed if Guttridge starts, despite all of our injury problems.

It's been absolutely bucketing it down for hours,
You want have a problem tomorrow night if on,our best player by a mile connely has a thigh strain, first game back after missing 10 Saturday, sounds to me like they are not going to risk him and save him for a winnable game Saturday and Guiseley next Tuesday.
We have vastly improved last 2 games under Mills but need Connely against a good team

That's what I thought too. Unlucky for us that Miller's strike got a lucky deflection off Emanuel for their first goal, Super Ted had it covered up until the deflection. At least we did you a favour with Miller's booking. No excuse now!

I'm guessing the gaffer will bring back Lawler, Palmer and Walton tomorrow with East at right back to boost our average height!
