I do have a chuckle at his budget talk.

We've got Eastleigh who don't reckon they're in the top 5. Fenty trying it on in that video the other week (also mentioning Dover?!), Vince last season was telling us FGR weren't that big a spenders and we've also had Cheltenham are trying to tell us they're not in the top 5 either...

As the old saying goes "Never believe a hippy or a tory"

In contrast, our board will no doubt be doing exactly the opposite once again this summer, keen to stress that Wrexham have a "competitive budget"

Don't forget we have that sweet sweet State Aid money.

Makes me laugh how we're lumped in with Forest Green and Eastleigh as being bank rolled when if we were competing for 20th place like we all thought we would be we'd still be that little over-achieving team of part-timers. The big boys just don't like being beaten by a side containing van drivers and plumbers

Sort of true, actually. While there's clearly more money at Dover than your average part-time team - or more directly, than at Braintree - the failing ex-League teams are quick to come out with the 'how are you affording....' line when the part-timers do well.

HOW DO BRAINTREE AFFORD AKINOLA!!!1!11?!!11???!1!1!!1?1?!1

Braintree even turned down 2 sizeable offers for Akinola from us in January. Clearly they don't need the money.

Btw if anyone wants any easy likes on their posts, just say something anti FGR and unbiased mod DSL will definitely like it. Same goes for anything anti me.

This is it really. What Chris Kinnear is good at is finding players who are playing below their natural level, which I guess makes them cheaper than they would otherwise be. What the bigger clubs seem to do is throw money at 35 year old ex-league players who want a quick payday before they retire. The only player who has taken a step down to sign for Dover is Miller who I presume we got cheaper due to his court predicament at the time (and had little option due to being sacked by Luton)

P.S. Chris FGR is a nob and Forest Green are shit :hypo:

You fool, you should have put that in separate posts. DSL can only like that once. Could have had double bubble.

Take out his handful of games at Luton and Ricky Miller has spent his entire career at Conference level and below hasn't he? Decent player, mind.

Yeah, made his name at Stamford (Northern Prem?) and Boston in the North. Never really got a look in at Luton.

Yep, definitely good enough for L2 though. Deverdics' career after Barnet is hardly filled with big clubs. We haven't got any players with any league pedigree at all - Payne played a few games for Gillingham but has been with us since Conference South, like most of the squad.

Allow me to enlighten you on the definitions of the term "bankroll". 1- a roll of paper money. 2- to underwrite the costs of a business or an activity.
"Banks" and "loans" have nothing to do with it. I think even you can see how the term is justly applied to mickey mouse clubs like yours and the other Stepford Whores FC outfits who are thus enabled to compete with great and historic football clubs like Grimsby, Halifax, Chester, Wrexham, Lincoln, Torquay, Tranmere and the rest of us. http://www.thefreedictionary.com/bankroll

You get zero say in this, your club died, end of.

Yeah you can't put Halifax in the same category as Grimsby, Wrexham, Lincoln, Tranmere, Torquay etc.

Reformed clubs are a different species.

Precisely. Not sure how Halifax can be in the same category as the BELTs when they've never actually been in the league...

Having just watched the BT Sport highlights show - what are all the Guiseley fans complaining about that red card for?! The player himself knew he was going long before the referee showed him the card, it was an awful tackle.

No complaints from me, although i think it was a second yellow card not a straight red? No need to dive in like that on your dead ball line, i can only assume he had a touch of the red mist! Silly boy

Yes it was a second yellow, but they way most of your forum were going on I expected to see one of the usual suspects going down easily. He went straight through Jack Parkinson about 2 seconds after the ball had gone - like you said, silly.

Were we as bad as your forum is making out in terms of time wasting/cheating?

Yes, no coincidence he learned it all Stepford Whores FC, where he behaved like a complete twat like everybody else does there. Thanks for pointing it out. :£

That's a bit rich calling your own manager a complete twat.
Also says very little about YOU

Mostly down to Modeste who is an artist at winding up opposition players and fans. After the silly challenge on Parkinson he lay on the ground as if badly injured then as soon as the ref produced the cards he literally jumped up and walked away, another of your players walked up to him and shook his hand as if congratulating him. That's really what caused the angst among some of our fans.
Our lads should know better than to get drawn into it.

Sorry, you 2 aren't real football clubs so your opinions count for shit round here. Seriously. :£

Yeah sounds pretty standard. Modeste doesn't actually dive all that much but he loves a good roll around on the floor pretending he's in agony after every tackle. Not sure how any professional footballer actually lets it affect their game though

We get it, you're wound up by B2TF....again

We're going down at TNL anyway so it's all irrelevant... move along, nothing to see here.
