Three of the League Two big boys all looking for a new manager/head coach.

Interesting to see who is appointed in each case and who gets their top pick.

Now confirmed. Not a surprise given their form. Has to be one of the quickest "manager of the month to sacked" runs in history surely? Wins the award and 6 weeks later he's gone.
Well you won’t be surprised to hear we sacked a coach not long after winning such an award .

Not sure how he got it though!

Alexander always felt like a weird fit there, they seemed to develop a style of play over the last few years which is not the kind of football he coaches

Looks like Gateshead's Mike Williamson is on his way to Milton Keynes

Acted very quickly. Got to wonder what Bradford have been doing the past two weeks

Gateshead play really good football, we beat them but the way they pass and move is not something you see much of at NL standard. Best footballing side I've seen this year. His record with them speaks for itself. Really good appointment if it comes off.

I’m always happy to criticise those running our club but on this occasion it’s some what unfair. For a starter Tranmere who have been without a permanent manager far longer are still looking as are Gillingham who binned theirs at the same time as us. So it’s hardly as though we are an anomaly. Plus we’ve won every game since so why rush and potential get the wrong manager? For once I’d rather us take our time and go through a proper interview process rather than headhunt someone as we did with Derek Adams, a fit for one club isn’t always a fit for another so let’s see how he gets on before leaping praise on them. Personally I hope he does the right thing and sacrifices his managerial career to get them out of the league.

We will regret missing out in Williamson I think.

No doubt McDonald will be forced into taking it or we'll appoint another dinosaur like Alexander.

Williamson is a good appointment,. not without risks but well worth it.

I'm surprised Gillingham haven't poached Kevin Maher from Southend tbh. Doing a great job there under extremely difficult circumstances.

Williamson and MK are a good fit, there’s an identity, both tippy tappy, get it down and play - an easy and obvious choice.
We have Andy Cook and Vadaine Oliver up front, a couple of cloggers at centre half and coming off the back of a possession game that didn’t work.
There has to be a horses for courses approach, we’re a team traditionally set up with a big man upfront, happy to go direct if needs be, if there’s some nice football In between then great. For us there’s not an ‘obvious’ answer compared to Williamson/MK, Cowley’s maybe? Either way I’d rather we didn’t rush, McDonald has bought them a lot more time to try and get the appointment right it’s just whether or not we use that time well.

Can't comment specifically on the Bradford situation, though what you say makes sense.
Tranmere fans would like to know if we're even looking for a new manager and Mark Palios has been unusually mute on the matter

Williamson has Marcus Dinanga firing, he must be literally God. Good appointment for Don's I think, but they might need to give him time.

The guys on the NTT20 podcast were flagging up Williamson as a good fit for MK on Monday so no surprise that he's gone there. Naturally I hope he fails but gets another gig elsewhere.

Williamson will do well at MK I think. His Gateshead team played some lovely football.

People forget MK have good players there. Eisa, Leko, Tucker, Gilbey, Norman. Still only 13 games gone as well, he's got 33 to get them going. With a bit more strengthening in January, then there is no reason they can't get back in the promotion shake up. Only side to go to Wrexham and win after all.

There appeared to be some issues with the mentality of the Milton Keynes side during Alexander’s time in charge. It will be interesting to see how Williamson addresses that. No idea how he man manages, but suspect there may be a need for stick and not just carrot.

I have a tenner on MK Dons to win the league. Currently my cash out is 60p.

Any recall option on Kemp for MK? Could be a blow for Swindon especially if the next Bradford manager fancies Jake Young being in his squad aswell.

Lincoln just got rid of their manager so if the Cowleys were close to taking a job in L2 that may change now.

Going from Gateshead to MK Dons is a big jump. He's a good manager but it's not a certainty that he will smash it there.

Very rarely is there a certainty with any managerial appointment but his style meshes perfectly with what MK are known for. He should be respected by the players cos he was better than all of them having played so much at the top domestic level.

If they give him time, and assuming they aren't a shit show behind the scenes he will be a success there.

Importantly he plays football the right way, the proper way.

They make a better atmosphere on the athletics track at Gateshead than MK mind.
