I still cannot get over how they paid a seven figure transfer fee for a league two penalty specialist.

I don’t agree with Maynards attitude of late - it’s been poor and that of a spoilt child.

Go back a decade and tell me that Grimsby and Mansfield constituencies would both be blue in 10 years time I just wouldn't believe it. Huge odds.

My constituency thankfully remained red, as expected.

Fenty says they are still giving Limbrick more time but admits results need to change quickly. They want Limbrick to do well and all games except Swindon we have played well and if the strikers could finish we would have picked up points.

Have to say I agree, I've seen all games since Jolley left except the Swindon one and our performances have been good and we could have on another day won them all, unfortunately nobody knows where the net is so we haven't. It is results based but no point in rushing to get a manager in when a bit of confidence in front of goal could turn things round. I'd give him till New year at least but if nothing changes we need someone in early Jan.

Also said whilst there is no budget for Jan he will be looking to bring in 2-3 more players because obviously we don't want to be in a relegation battle. However Fenty will have to buy more shares for this to get around the salary cap.

What I find shocking about the Grimsby situation is Hanson. I mean, yes I've heard of the manager of the month curse, but the player? Yes, he never was the kind of scorer that gets 5 in his first 6. But he's a 10-15 goal player at this level still surely? How has he not had one good cross or corner to head in, 1 scrappy goal off his arse or shoulder? How has he gone from what he did at the start to not even looking like a football player? Baffling.

It has purely been a lack of chances for Hanson. Apart from one or two decent positions where he should have done better, he has been starved of service due to our last manager seemingly wanting to just whack the ball up to him with no plan Of what happens next.

The ironic thing is that he’s been injured for the last couple of games and we have been playing better football and putting a series of decent crosses into danger areas which would be well suited to him.

We are just going through one of those periods where nothing is going right for us.

According to Humberside we are talking to Holloway and he is interested.

Be typical Fenty to want Limbrick over him. As much as I think Limbrick deserves a couple more games based on performances if Holloway is even remotely interested then we should be doing what we can to get him now.
