Loss + joker please Oak......

Seriously though, with us now safe and Luton still in with a shout of the title, but at the same time also in party mode, this should be entertaining with lots of goals at both ends. By that I mean lots in the first half in the end Luton are shooting, and lots in the second half at the other end Luton are shooting.
Hylton, Collins and Lee up against our defence is an interesting prospect. :sur:

Should be a good atmosphere, like last time we went there when they had the Conference title sealed and beat us 4-1. Hopefully we give them a bit of a game this time. Cooper has made the right noises about us still being up for it, so you never know, we might surprise everyone.

I'm just gonna have a beer or two and enjoy the fact we're safe, who gives a fuck about the score. Always like visiting the place, proper history there.

I boldly claimed we'd win by two clear goals on our forum prediction thread, based on zero evidence, I blame the delight at knowing we're staying up. Decent account of ourselves will do me.

We have been imperious at home at times this season and with FGR securing their league status, I can't see them remaining at the same levels.

Recently, when we've been 3 goals up we've taken the foot off the gas ourselves and just concentrated on not giving the opposition a sniff, with the result all important. I don't think we'll do the same today.

No need to really change much team wise; perhaps we'll stay unchanged for the fourth game in a row! When was the last time Luton did that!?

Think we saw the Accrington score at half time and decided to put the flip flops on. Been very poor indeed second half.

Bit dodgy 2nd half but we’ve got the firepower to pull games like that out and that’s ultimately why we are going up. Forest Green probably deserved something for upping it 2nd half.

New kits still shit though

Congratulations on your promotion, though it has been nailed on for some time, so not really a surprise.

At least you didn't stuff us 6-1, like happened to our near neighbours...at least we were already safe before the game, would have hated to go into the last game of the season needing something from it.

We need pictures of your kit, just to see how bad it is. We are getting a new one next season too, I'm hoping for vertical stripes rather than horizontal...just hope it isn't too busy, I like something that isn't offensive on the eyes.

First half could have been 3 down easily, showed Luton too much respect and sat off letting them pass through us. They've got some real quality though, some of their passing and movement was a different level. Shame that Collins and Lee, both class players needlessly tried to be cheating c***, but I'll let that go. Second we decided to have a go and did a lot better, bit unlucky not to get a point.

Luton's kit was very orange, seems their fans would prefer a return to white shirts, am I right?

As for us wish we could go back to stripes, the hoops aren't great whether it be black and green or the black and white we used yesterday
. And we should switch them around, back to black and white at home, green away. Won't happen though cos of company branding unfortunately.

Collins blatantly hand-balling it in and Lee twice diving embarrassingly in good positions when virtually no contact was made. No need for it, top side and already up.

We had a fans vote when we got up front the Conference and the orange and blue kit won the day, so it’s a Brexit “will of the people” situation. As it’s 30 years since the league cup win we could have done something really nice with the kit a la Oxfords really nice effort a few years back, instead we got that rubbish.

I can accept the orange, but this kit is all orange with black trim. It’s just not a Luton kit. We either go orange and blue, which has been our colours in some years past or we dump the orange totally in my view.

It’s also just not a good looking shirt, the slightly different orange coloured stripe looks terrible. But my fundamental problem is the colours. It’s not a Luton shirt.

I'm not doubting that Hylton and Lee are fans of Tom Daley, but I don't recall what this is about. I think Lee threw himself to the floor in the second half, albeit with contact. Why would a striker deliberately try and palm a ball into the net when in that position. I think he indicated that there may have been a push.

I like the orange, but I can't say I'm a fan of these kits. It does seem a bit lazy in the design office.

Me either really, the kit of the the past 2 years has been smart to be honest. But all orange is not a Luton kit, and god knows where the black is from.

I quite like our current strip, very distinctive, it took a few seasons for the change in colours to grow in me...the first couple of attempts were dreadful, too pale. We often saw a mix and match with the away strip to avoid clashes, on occasion we looked like Bulgaria before the Warsaw Pact crumbled. I would love it if we went to vertical stripes, keeping the current colours but offering a black and white variant for the away one, I wouldn't even mind if we went to broad stripes like our away strip from the anniversary season. Like you I can't see a swap in home and away colours happening, for the reason you mentioned, and to be fair I'm not sure I would want that to happen anymore.

Came away with a loss but not distraught.
Our goalkeeper had possibly/almost certainly best game of any FGR goalkeeper this season.
Towards end of match we thought that we might nick all three points or at least go away with a draw, so credit to Luton on win.

The funniest moment of afternoon was during a lull from Luton fans singing "We are going up", when the Green Army awoke the whole stadium by chanting "We are staying up".
The stunned look on the Luton fans was incredible. Of course they came straight back with "Who the Fuck are you?" but it was all good natured.

And at the end of the game the victorious fans gave their defeated opponent the traditional middle finger salute which we took with a smile on our faces. It was a good and enjoyable game.

Anyway Best Wishes Luton next season and I'm sure you'll do well.

Isn't this the same goalkeeper that was being slagged off at the start of the season?

I thought we absolutely murdered them in the second half, played really well and deserved to get something out of the game,

I agree they had a good spell in the first half of the second half, but first half we should've been out of sight anyway and the back end of the game we were getting back on top again.

I don't think 3-1 flattered Luton at all really.
