I know all clubs have them but considering the average size of the club, Port Vale seem to attract a lot more idiots than most clubs.

Meh they come out for the big games but are never seen when we play a Scunthorpe or Gillingham for example. You get the local rude boys pop up and maybe even the odd shit fans wanting a bit (they were the some of the main perpetrators of the Wolves trouble a couple of years back and weren't even at the game!)

stoke itself is just full of loonies.

I'm not a Stokie, in fact born, bred and raised in Leicestershire (could be watching Champions League football now FFS If is made the right choices) and in fairness I find the Stoke people in general to be extremely friendly and hospitable. Throw football into it though and it can be a different kettle of fish though!

you done the right thing. I cannot stand Leicester, never liked em before the title win and don't like em now. Definitely mate, very friendly folk and salt of the earth but like you said football is different.

That's why im not Leicester! Couldn't get into them and found them over arrogant (which has now got even worse!)... plus what's all this great atmosphere shit when you wallop cardboard fans around and try to be 'ultras'. Weird club, will take Barnet away all day long!

That's simply not true about Stoke being there v Wolves. Vale and Stoke never have and never will, team up with Stoke. That's a myth to shift blame.

Didn't say the teamed up with Vale just wanted some themselves, saw it myself as they came down from the top of the Hamil Road at full time.

Need coppers to be firmer though like the one who threw a Barnsley fan head first into a rear window of a car on the car park! Soon sort it! To busy just watching today although expect some people in Sheffield and Stoke will be getting a visit in the coming days.

Depends how old you are, you did it often in the 70's when big followings came to Vale

How could you tell they were Stoke?

I just hear this a lot about Stoke coming to Vale for mither with other teams. Never seen it myself. Maybe in the 70s then, but not since I started going around 85/86.

I do remember Stoke coming up sometimes in the 70s. A friendly against Man City about 1970, Villa when they were in old Lg3, West Ham early 70s cup match, Burnley late 70s cup game

Comfortably less than 1,000 Bury going to Bolton Tuesday.

Rochdale would take more than that.
They took 868 I believe.

No denying it, our following on Tuesday is going to be shocking but quite frankly the fixture has come at the wrong time.

On and off the pitch the club is in turmoil, and many don't want to pay £26 to watch us get hammered and see Bolton win promotion. Fair play to those who do go.

Hard to not be negative at the moment, nothing going for us at all.

2100 sold for Charlton tomorrow, pay on the day could see it up to around the 2500 mark.

How many Vale can we expect tomorrow? Usually a good number at ours, but it seems as if your followings have tailed right off.

No idea. We are absolutely tragic away from home and most have given up.

I'd hazard a guess at roughly 400. Might be a few more being Bank Holiday.

1 year ago today since we went to Gillingham and won 2-0... since then away from home 1 win, 7 draws, 16 defeats in all competitions... the reason we are heading for league two.

Not exactly reliable, but a couple of fans claiming we have sold 1,500 so far for Bolton tomorrow. Still terrible but better than it was a couple of days ago. Tickets on sale tomorrow too, we might, might sell 2,000.

Still poor for our biggest game but at £26 a ticket on a Tuesday night for a pretty much relegated team could be worse.

On the other hand, these claims could well be false, and we will still take under 1,000 as I was expecting. We shall see I suppose. Bolton not being able to win promotion tomorrow has persuaded a few more out I think as pathetic as it is.

You might well be shit, but regardless of it being a Tuesday night it's still the biggest game of your season, against your biggest rivals, who you haven't played in the league for god knows how long (away).

You should be taking 2000+

We should no doubt about it. But as I've said the game has come at the wrong time. 3,000ish went to Bolton away in 2014 (EFL Cup 1st round) and I'm sure had the circumstances been a bit kinder to us we'd have taken 3,000 again. But alas they aren't, and this is the result.

Pathetic amount of seats are blocked off in the Bradford end. Syp or whoever is in charge are just costing the club money for no apparent reason.

Looks quality at Bramall Lane today, living at Cherry Street near the ground it sounds a great atmosphere. Is it a sell out?

Maybe, but I'm not a mug who will pay £26 for game in the third division. It just helps that we are shit.
