First time to Wycombe next week. Any pubs likely to be open before the game for away fans?
Been a while since I have been, and the last time we won promotion there (well it was all but done baring Cheltenham winning 28-0) so they laid on a massive gazeebo with beer etc for us with us having a huge following but when I have been prior to that I am sure I went drinking in the town and they had a shuttle bus in place. Recall having a great time with their fans before, good bunch they were but this was about 2009!

Very picturesque ground but right on the edge of town.

Reading have been banned from bringing inflatables tomorrow. Total killjoys we are.
Apple doesn't fall far from the tree in terms of your chairman and his daughter who is our CEO. We do love a good killjoy.

She was hardly a barrel of laughs when she was at our place. Wouldn’t appear on your documentary either.

There's some half decent food stalls on the way into the ground and a scaled back fan zone/beer tent now the egg chasers have gone.

But we have always had a warm welcome and decent beer (less certain for food) at the Hour Glass - nearest thing to a Northern pub south of the M40 that I've seen, even with the new owners. Ham and Cheese cobs behind the bar for £2 and even a Meat Raffle. If you're lucky, they sometimes have a food van (Mexican last time we struck lucky) outside the pub on match days.

Would be excellent if you took her back!

I've heard rumours that could happen.

For the first time since our brief sojourn in the Natty we’ve actually reduced the away allocation today. Understandable as I doubt many Fleetwood fans want to come and watch themselves get relegated, and there aren’t exactly many in the first place.

It was a sell-out at Cheltenham, which I think I read as 1,055.

Slightly off topic, someone has posted this on our board. It relates to games in the old Div 4 (now L2) in 1986. Just look at the attendances, 6 teams had less than 2000 (Wrexham only just into four figures), 4 with less than 3000,though bizarrely Mansfield had 8000, presumably a promotion party.

Just goes to show how far we have come since those days.

Grounds were falling down
Trouble was rife
Used get taken 3 or 4 a season when my dad decided that the opposition wouldn't cause trouble

It does not help you but no way there was 1700 at the Pirelli. I stood by them and loads of gaps plus in the seats too. I will ask BaFC police if they have a figure.

In fairness, it was in 1986 (I was 2 months away from being born) and all crowds were ridiculously low across the board. We had a time where coal mining and steel was in the town for jobs that was ripped apart from the government, leading it down the downward spiral. Hence why we only just about scraped by with just over 1000 there.

Also, with on the pitch matters declining, there wasn't much to shout about :)

Thanks. Just going off the Reading website which said they were allocated 1700 and sold out.

Pretty close to what we get now mind, but yeah although before my time I believe it was a promotion party!

The attendances in L2 overall now compared to then I imagine are hugely increased.
