We've signed Michael Rose. Him and Danny Whitaker in CM = the age of 123.

He takes a good set piece. That’s all I can remember from him at Swindon. Our fans aren’t very fond of him for one reason or another. I’m not sure that’s due to his (lack of) ability or that he a monumental weapon.

We had Tom Conlon as a trialist today, played very well by all accounts. Ex Stevenage midfielder...

We had a winger Andrew White as a trialists today. Either a 33 year old who played for Southport or maybe the one who was at Lincoln.

I didn't go as, to be honest, I couldn't be bothered but it sounded as though he had a good game.

Cheltenham have announced that Mo Eisa is all but off. Fee agreed, now he's off to discuss personal terms. Obviously coming, but still a big loss for them.

Can't recall ever having an Andrew White playing for us.

I just typed in Andrew White footballer and it brought up one born in 1981 and one born in 1991 and neither have played for either Lincoln or Southport. :dk:

Completely unsurprisingly he's off to Bristol City. The fee agreed is £1.5m over a period of time but they'be agreed to pay more up front.

It's a big loss, but judging on recent interviews it's clear Johnson has a couple of players lined up.

Everton, Burnley, Brighton and Leeds said to be trailing our defender Tom Hamer, who signed his first pro deal back in March. ((Link))

We didn't always seem to get the best deals for our players under the previous owner, it remains to be seen how high any bid would need to go to test the mettle of our new one.
Leeds bid of £200k + add-ons rejected.

We have signed 18 year old striker Korrey Henry on a free from West Ham, has been on trial for a few weeks and looked pretty handy against Plymouth.

With Eisa going, talk has turned to his replacement.

According to our local journo, the top target is currently at a National League club - the two names being banded around are Danny Rowe at Fylde and Macauley Bonne at Orient.

If any O's fans still read this, thoughts on Bonne?

Lots of talk that Blackburn's Scott Wharton could be coming back on loan. Was excellent last season and is a sorely needed left foot CB. Announcement at 5.

He's class. Will be one of the best defenders at this level next season for sure

Would be surprised if you can get Rowe. He seems pretty comfortable earning god knows how much at Fylde, would've though Tranmere would be a more likely option for him. Bonne would be a good signing for you though and would've actually hoped we'd get him

Scott Wharton re-joins on a season long loan. Excellent signing and surprised a L1 team didn't take him.

Yep, very pleased to get Wharton for the whole season. Won't be disruptions with him being recalled either. Extremely surprised he hasn't gone out on loan to divison above but very happy he is an Imp, it gives our defence a lot more balance.

Wharton must have seriously impressed playing for Blackburn today then, played against Lincoln then joins them straight after! ;)

Taylor has said we’re very close to announcing an attacking wide player. No ideas as to whom. Some idiots on Twitter saying it’s David Wheeler returning but that’s never gonna happen.

Whoever it is I just hope they’re under 30 and have a good league record.

Bonne is a finisher. Up for a bit of a hustle and bustle but generally instinctive around the box and gets into the right positions. Never really got a chance centrally with us but has taken his first real season as a proper number nine with Orient it seems.

Open trials at Carlisle apparently didn’t go as well as hoped yesterday. Someone I know walked his dog past the field and said it was full of fat c***s stopping every 5 minutes because they were knackered, one even stopped and lit up a cigarette. Other than that a few decent players but nothing close to the standard we need for League 2. Word is that no one was offered anything other than a kid getting himself a weeks trial with the academy.

They can’t have been too surprised that they didn’t unearth the new Pele. If it worked every club would do it.

That never stopped Matt Rhead getting a contract.

We are in the market for a centre back because all of ours are long term injured and that’s probably it.

Been a bit boring this summer, sorta missed Evans 28 summer signings.

Wharton's a very important signing for us.

Not sure anyone thought we'd get him back earlier in the summer but when Ben Nugent was on trial and then disappeared despite noises that Cowley was looking to sign him, it kinda teed this deal up.

Sounds like a full season with no recall clause either, which is more good news.

IMO, Wharton's very similar to Raggett in terms of style of play although Wharton looks like someone who's been coached full time from a young age, unlike Raggett who didn't turn until the summer of 2016 when he joined us and improved a lot, and is a more polished version of Raggett, even if he is younger.

Charlton and Blackpool were asking about him as well.

Rumours of two more signings next week, probably wide(r) players. Not sure they'll be out and out wingers, but more wide of a front three type of ones.

Don’t tell me the Flitcroft induced injury crisis has struck already? Is Preston one of those?
