Stockport fans. What are the odds you will recall Lewis or Lemonheigh-Evans from us?
Both players we rate very highly
They've been excellent. Just hoping that we don't have yet another season derailed by player sales and loan recalls.

Difficult to say. We're light on numbers in midfield but I don't think Evans is good enough to fill the void and will be available at the end of the season so don't see us recalling.

Lewis we're OK at CB at the minute but I think he is well rated by our coaching staff and we gave him a new contract so I doubt he'll be available in the summer but not sure how urgently we need a centre half to recall in Jan.

If Lemonheigh-Evans gets recalled that could leave a sour taste in your mouth.

Ronan Curtis has been training with us since leaving Pompey two weeks ago. Wouldn't normally read too much into that but he was sat on our bench last night against them wearing some of our gear so who knows, maybe looking for somewhere to play out the season and prove his fitness after a year out through injury.

Hutchinson to Stockport seems to be a rumour going round.

He was one of the best opposition players I've seen this season when we played at yours. He's more of a number 10 though isn't he? I reckon we'd ideally need a box to box or a DM more.

Definitely more of a ten. Couple hypothetically be an attacking eight if coached better though.

Not sure there is anything in it. Initially made up by a joker on Twitter.

Would happily take him mind.

Good move for everyone as far as I'm concerned.

He was never getting near the starting X1 for us.

He has never been able to establish himself at a football league club.

By all accounts, he is popular with the Rochdale fans and seems to be doing well there and found his level.

The fact we appear to have got a fee for him, however nominal it may be, is good business.

Good luck to him

What's happened?

From the headline it sounded like Stockport had gone behind Crewes back to Newcastle to get their loan deal terminated. Although reading it their deal only runs till January anyway doesn't it?

You're still the league baddies.

Been quality for the last couple of months so will be gutted to see him go. Couldn't get in the team when Powell and Tabiner were fit but when he got his chance he looked very good. Seems to happen every year to us now, last year it was Okonkwo now White. Last year we replaced Okonkwo with an even better player so hopefully we do the same with this one.

If Newcastle have terminated his loan early, which could be why he missed yesterday's game and not because he was ill, then that's scumbag behaviour from them and Stockport. Got no problem with losing a loanee, happened before and it'll happen again. We do it with our own prospects when we send them out.

What I object to is losing an influential player over the busiest period of the year with no option of replacing him for another week, if that is indeed what has happened.

As for the player, he started slowly but since getting match fit has been a classy operator in the middle of the pitch. His range of passing and decision making is good, he's shown a decent creative spark as well, especially from set pieces. Whilst losing him is a big blow, I'm confident we can find a similar replacement. Found Ryan Finnigan 12 months ago, now White. Midfielders like him are a dime a dozen.

We're looking likely to have a busy window. Harvey Davies is probably going back to Liverpool, White now leaving it seems. Heavy rumours Connor O'Riordan is all but gone to Blackburn(he also missed yesterday with "illness"). Need replacements for all 3 PLUS potentially 2-3 more in weak areas like striker(need a back up for Baker-Richardson and Nevitt), CM(still woefully short on fit players) and maybe even full back/CB.

It was supposed to end in January anyway wasn't it? If it was end of season, I could understand the anger. I can understand mild frustration if he's pulled out of Christmas fixtures but not sure it's scumbag behaviour from ourselves and Newcastle.

Obviously you, Newcastle won't care which lge 2 club he plays for. But moneybags Stockport come in and offer to pay 100% wages, they will take it. Stockport force them to recall so he doesn't get injured over the busy Christmas period, isn't it obvious?

Everyone knows ‘season long’ loans aren’t worth the paper they’re written on. Any player who does well has a more than decent chance of being recalled and moved further up the ladder, it all seems common practice these days.

Where would you see him fitting in a diamond midfield?

It absolutely is on Newcastle's part. His loan is up in January, but he should be allowed to complete said loan as previously agreed. My annoyance is more with Newcastle, but it's super annoying that you couldn't find your own player and had to tap up one from a promotion rival.

This. Money talks as usual.

Hard to say as he's played on the left of a 2 man midfield. Possibly as a wide left CM in the 2 part of the diamond, he's not brilliant at winning the ball back and sitting at the base, nor is he a natural CAM like a Dan Kemp for example.

Not even arsed about White allegedly going. Ten-a-penny midfielders out there like him. We got Finnigan last season, we got White this season, I back the club to do it again. Good player but if he does go then he goes and that's that. But the obsession with Pete O'Rourke as the gospel truth needs to stop. This was the tool who said Lee Bell was going to be Bradford's next manager in October and I think our fans have quickly forgotten that.

However, if it's true, it's an interesting scouting strategy by Stockport. Seems they're doing what the Vale used to do 10 years ago but have adapted on that somewhat and gone for decent players on paper instead of our cast offs. Signed Powell after he was training with us (we were never signing him admittedly) and chased Finnigan after we wanted him back but he chose Shrewsbury instead. I'm sure whoever we sign on loan in midfield in January will probably end up there in Summer too.

We've been very proactive from what I've heard and should have at least 2 new players in for the Mansfield game on January 6th. Means we have to limp through the next 3 games but it is what it is. At least Davies is going back to Liverpool. Will be playing for Marine in a couple of years. I can see signings being made with next season in mind so wouldn't be surprised if at least 5 come in in January.

That's like saying you're following our scouting strategy because you signed Aaron Rowe who we had on loan recently. Just nonsense.

He never said that though did he? He said he was "in the frame", which can mean many different things. He gets thing right more often than not and he was pretty clear on this one. Guess we'll see how true it is come Tuesday when he's either in the squad or not.

I've heard some bizarre transfer rumours in my time but this one...!

According to German transfer rumour website Transfermkt. Al Hilal are competing with Crawley Town to sign Kylian Mbappe.

They say we have a 48% chance of signing him.

Just how silly must you be to publish stuff like that. Al Hilal have no chance.

I didn’t think any parent club can terminate a loan until January.
