I don't see it with Jake Young. He scored a couple of belters admittedly, but his all round performance was low. Some of his appearances stunk the place out and he clearly did nowt at Barrow in the second half of the season.

Shake hands and move on.

Jake Young - just another player at this level with bags of potential.

Not sure whether he’s a bad apple, whether Hughes and Jake just don’t see eye-to-eye or whether he’s just not up to standard, but seems strange offering him a 3 year deal, scores 4 in 12 then gets put in the bin.

He didn’t do anything on-loan at Barrow, but I can see him doing well elsewhere.

Good luck to the lad finding a new club. From the little I've seen of him, I think he is National League level though, probably end up on loan at Halifax next season[/QUOTE]

Millenic Alli is the first name our only ITK poster has come out and revealed, only says we’re ‘in for him’ though

Anything Stockport fans?
Saw him a fair bit last season. Bit all over the place and very lightweight, but on the ball he's very capable. Just as likely to stick the ball out for a throw in as he is to get it in the net.

Definitely some talent there though.

Quite funny that half the signings we seem to make have previously worked with LW when he's not fully in charge of transfers... Seems to have mostly played as a winger from very limited research. With Jones having signed as well we might be playing with wingers a bit next season, or just two very attacking wing backs.

Great player when he’s fit, we’ve definitely missed him when he’s been injured.

Unfortunately for everyone, he’s made of paper and suffers from injuries more frequently than you’d like.

Keep him fit and you’ve got a decent player there.

We’ve signed a lot of that type in the last year or so and broadly it’s ended up working, hopefully the medical team can do the same with this one. No idea where we seen him playing really, we don’t use proper wingers.

‘Keep him fit and you’ve got yourselves a decent player’

Heard that one once or twice before…

Shame about Jake Young. Liked the look of him last season early on, but he had a few stinkers, went on loan, and was apparently shite at Barrow. He's only twenty one so plenty of time to improve. Hughes wants a smaller squad next season so you'd expect Hendrie, Odusina and East to be moved on.

He’s a good player, not sure I’d want him playing as a wing back if that’s your chosen system. Could be kept quiet with us as sides double up on our threats due to there not being many.

Don’t think that bad injury wise, a lot of it as probably over played or played when not 100% given some of our injury problems. He got through a fair chunk of games last season. At 26 hopefully peaking and his body getting used to the full time treadmill.

Of course though, he was a world beater against us.

Well, we've had a pretty good hit rate with transfers the last few seasons so in the recruitment team we trust. I do like how we have absolutely no inkling of who's coming in, we keep a total lid on gossip and rumours.

Tony Craig leaves Crawley to join Dorking Wanderers in the National League.

That's two of the three who will never play for the club again given away. Just Hessanthaler left now.

Decent centre half Is Tony. Getting on a bit but still OK.

Not just Mansfield fans moaning about Gillingham outspending them now.

Word on the street round here is that you may well be giving Jack Powell to us too. Given he was your Player of the Season and he's never played North of London before, I didn't believe it at first and thought we were after Hessenthaler when us signing a Crawley midfielder was mentioned. But turns out Powell's very close friends with our Head of Recruitment and he's been at Gresty Road for talks this week.

I can see that going down like a lead balloon in Crawley were it to happen...

There’s a whole host of clubs that have spent loads more than others in L2 - and they’re still there! At our level it’s more down to the manager, I reckon.

All big budgets do in League Two is inflate wages for bang average footballers. Some of the journeymen that look shite in League One yet take home £150K-£250K a year in this division are hilarious.

At least in League One if you're spending what some of the clubs are spending at the top end are doing up there you'll be able to entice Championship players to drop down. And there's a huge gulf between those levels compared to L1 and L2.

Been promoted with a bottom 8 budget twice in this league in the last decade and a bit. It's the biggest league for parity out of the 5 national divisions. I genuinely believe all 24 clubs can realistically aim for Top 7 in this league and you can't say that about other leagues in this country.

I'm sure our budget last season was bigger than both Stevenage and Carlisle

Just a shame we wasted a large majority on players who were nowhere near good enough.

We had the 5th biggest budget when we were relegated from league 1 ending comfortably last. We are probably one of the biggest serial failure of a club in the country.

Not confirmed yet but word is Ben Foster has signed a 1 year deal. Got to be the oldest player in the league if true surely?
If Joe Murphy signs another deal at Rovers, he’ll be older 42 in August.
Small consolation that we might beat Wrecsam in having the oldest player, given will be coming off second best in most head to heads involving our Welsh neighbours

Powell is a frustrating player. Obviously talented but very static. Opposition players run off him far to easily.

He did win the player of the season and To lose him would be a loss but we do have Ben Gladwin now and the actually get in each others way when they play.

He is under contract. Have you got a fiver because that's what wagmi seem to want for decent players?
