5 triallists with us at the moment

Jamie Sendles-White. Centre back who we had before but got a bad injury and was released last at Leyton Orient. Seems a bit of a desperate one that.

Lloyd Sam - Winger last at AFC Wimbledon

Martin Smith - Hard tackling midfielder from Coleraine in Norn Iron - ex Sunderland I think.

Jordan Williams - Ex Southend defender (of course!!)

And most excitingly, Maxwell Oldham who got player of the tournament at the Confifa world cup. I hope we sign him just for a giggle!

Apparently were after Keith Lowe from Macclesfield. A centre back is the last thing we need really, although its probably an indication that we will be playing three at the back.
I'd be gutted if you got him. Won all of our POTY awards last season.

Wasn't a bid made by Bristol Rovers for Khan a few months ago ?
Every time we played Yeovil he stood out from everyone else , although that wasn't hard in our case.
Looks too good for this division but as ever money talks so maybe some mileage in this Mansfield news

I'm surprised he's only gone to another League 2 club, however his attitude has probably put a few people off. He's undoubtedly talented but he hasn't got it between the ears. After the suspension for his stupid red card against Chesterfield last season he didn't get back in the team for several games even though he was available. Good luck with him.

Plenty of skill and decent scoring record for a winger; doesn't necessarily offer enough besides his goal threat though, often just picks the wrong pass or gets run out of play. He'll have games where he looks completely unplayable and you think he should be starting every week but then others where he goes missing. Was better last season though, so maybe he can rediscover that form alongside Jabo.

He’s pretty much exactly what you expect for a L2 winger, he’s decent but inconsistent especially with end product.

He’s better than a lot of other wingers at this level but at the same time not a top player for this standard.

Looks like Adam Johnson to me. Him and Jolley used to mix in the same circles apparently so would make sense. Good signing if it happened.
Looks nothing like Adam Johnson? By all means keep doing your little joke, but at least do it with a bit more creativity than that ffs.

On the Carlisle forums they reckon he has been their best player of the last few seasons. Best baaaaa Ibehre, of course.

Lloyd Sam was cracking for us a few years ago. Big mistake from Curled to go after Zoko and not sign him. God knows what he's like now

Jordan Williams??

There are three that I know of:

1. J W born 1992, signed for Dale from Barrow last summer, played a bit, loaned to Lincoln where he warmed the bench for the second half of last season. Still on our books.

2. JW (1995). Signed by Dale ex Liverpool this summer. Had a loan spell with us last season.

3. JW (1999) - Full back at Huddersfield. On loan at Bury last year, making his debut at (of course) Rochdale!

Didn't know Sarfend had another! :)

33 now and only played 2 games for AFC Wimbledon last season after an adventure in the States. No harm to give him a couple of friendly games to see what he can do.

If you don't sign him, send him up here. If we can get the Huddersfield lad on loan, "There's only four Jordan Williams" would be rather an amusing chant... :)

Funnily enough we also had the ex Liverpool Jordan Williams on loan before as well.

But yes, I think you should stockpile them! :)

Cambridge fans: Louis John started at Crawley and I always thought he would make it. The problem for him was he was behind players such as McFadzean and Walsh so he dropped lower for game time.

Crawley have signed Joe Galach a 17 year old from Aldershot academy. All I know I've read in the last few minutes....had offers from Polish sides, was at Orient, scored lots of goals for the academy last season. A 3 year deal with an option for another year! Shows faith and belief in him.

Can’t see us signing our sixth centre back when we only have 2 full backs and only one of those can play wing back.

We've just announced Gary Warren as our latest signing. He was captain of ICT in Scotland but left by mutual consent. He's 34 and from Bristol so probably wants to head home for the end of his career.

Pretty happy with Reggie Lambe signing. Seemed to do pretty well for Carlisle, so that's our wingers sorted. A striker and we'll be done. Nice to have a summer where we only need to add 2 or 3 rather than the usual complete overhaul for a change

We've signed right back Liam Shepherd from Posh and striker Isaac Pearce from Fulham.

Shep is a great player. Actually shocked he's left as he is easily good enough for League 1 but the manager couldn't guarantee him a starting place so he wanted to move on.

Good signing.

Good signing.

He was decent enough when we had him 3 years ago but we've had better loan defenders from Swansea.

Nice one, I guess the reason you know they used to mix in the same circles was from when Jolley was at Lincoln, well done to Lincoln on spotting Jolley’s potential all that time ago.:db:

He'll be playing as a wing back by the looks of it, so hopefully he's good going forward.

Reggie Lambe. On his day great, but he’s a passenger in too many games, I think he knows he’s got talent so often thinks he only has to turn up in league 2. Some of his half arsed performances in a blue shirt were completely unacceptable.

I was pleased that we released him, but at the same time wouldn’t be surprised if he ended up one of the best players in the league as he’s easily capable.

We had Smith on loan a few seasons back but only played 2 or 3 games. Honestly can’t remember what type of player he was, but I do remember thinking how did he get a contract with a then premier league club.

Moody and unpredictable.
Opposite of the rest of the squad then. Odd.

I imagine he’s been signed as a wingback for when we play 3-5-2 or backup for Buxton when we play a back 4.

Probably 2, 3 signings max left for us.
