Why are you expecting lots of goals? Not saying it wouldn’t happen but we’ve only been beaten by more than a goal since November once and have only lost three times in months... we just don’t win games that’s been the problem. We haven’t been too bad all season in terms of conceding goals, our problem has been the other end. We’ve drawn too many but Aspo in general has made us hard to beat. We made a lot of changes last week but think we will go back to 4-5-1 as 4-4-2 leaves us too open and a couple of the lads who came in Saturday played for the reserves midweek so probably will be much more back to strength.

Not suggesting you'll be beaten by more than one goal or even betting the house on a win. Just feeling positive and know we'll be giving it a go in attack. You'll get some chances, so 3-2 either way is entirely possible.

Cue guaranteed 0 - 0

Our fans will be more interested in the early PL kick off to be honest so a Palace victory may see a buoyant atmosphere in the away end regardless of our performance at least I guess!

There will also be mass celebrations along Nantwich Road by all Crewe fans old enough to remember those bastards being the enemy should the long overdue relegation occur at approximately 2:30pm tomorrow. I, for one, cannot wait.

Yeah Vale fans have been digging out the videos of them revelling in our relegation last year...

Not sure I’m as keen on the rumoured plane to fly over the Shitannia flying a banner saying ‘Bye Bye Bye Delilah’ though! Could really come back to bite us if true!

You should hire a plane and drop dog shit on the bastards, I'm sure Alex & Vale fans would both get their canines to contribute.

I will gladly accept a 10-0 thrashing or whatever if it means them shithouses get relegated today. All I ask is if/when it does Sky make sure they get some good shots of the bastards in tears. Will be a fine start to the bank holiday weekend if so.

No idea if the thing about the plane is true but has been brilliant to see their reaction at the thought it could happen.

My dislike of Vale is simply a dislike, but my dislike of Stoke is more of a hatred. Ever since I've followed football (2000-2001) those bastards have had it so good bar a playoff heartache at Walsall in that first season I watched football yet they still moan and moan about everything. They've achieved things a lot of their hardcore fans never thought they'd see but the gloryhunters helped delude their achievements by outrageously expecting Top 4/6 finishes.

This is their first truly bad season for 15 years (when they stayed up on the final day) and 20 years since their last relegation. I think us and Vale have combined for 7 relegations and god knows how many successful relegation battles in that time. So it's about time they suffered as well.

Maybe this unified hatred can repair some of the relations between our two clubs... :bg:

Let’s just hope Palace keep up their momentum of late!

Finally the last game of a dire season. Started feeling positive until watching us 2 or 3 times when I was bored rigid.

Glad we give the best team in the league a guard of honour so fair play to Accrington, hope their fans enjoy their day in the sun.

Bring on the news of which of our useless squad are being binned for Mansfield to sign as well as confirmation on who the new manager is and plans for next season.

I hope next season isn’t as utterly dull and pointless as this one!

Just worked out what it'd take for them to go down today.

If the lardies lose, they're down 100% despite being 2 points behind 18th place Southampton and 3 behind 17th place Swansea. This is because Southampton and Swansea's game in hand is against each other which will give 17th a 4 point gap minimum over Stoke after that game is concluded..

If they draw, only two freak sets of results in the next week or so can save them (one which could genuinely occur, one which definitely won't).

The possible one - Stoke draw, Swansea loss at Bournemouth, Southampton loss at Everton, Southampton and Swansea draw on Tuesday, Southampton lose on the final day at home to Manchester City whilst Stoke beat Swansea by what would likely be a 3 or 4 goal margin (2 if Swansea were to get thrashed today perhaps).

The virtually impossible one is the same as above but with Southampton drawing against Everton tonight, Stoke aren't overhauling their superior goal difference, not a chance.

If Stoke win, they'll take it to the midweek games where every team above them in the scrap has a game in hand on them UNLESS another freak set of results happen.

Swansea win at Bournemouth, West Ham win at Leicester, Southampton win at Everton and Huddersfield win at Manchester City tomorrow. The odds of that would be staggeringly high but it'd see them relegated by mid afternoon tomorrow.

There's a vindictive part of me which would like it go to the last day then get them relegated (it's always the hope that kills you) but just can't leave it to chance. Anyhow for the next 90 minutes am a diehard Palace fan.

A moment to savour for us today... probably our last game as a top-half side in this division for some years. Then enjoy the summer and come back in August, to what sounds like it's gonna be similar to Hartlepool's last few years.

Get the fuck in! The shit are going down!!

Says it all about utterly garbage Vale have been but that is the highlight of our season for me.

As for today against Cambridge, like to see a few more of the youth lads given a go. May as well.

In terms of Vale today, very young side with only five subs most of whom are kids. Probably tells us a lot in terms of the retained list for Tuesday that! Looks as though Forrester will be gone!

This is going to sound harsh but good, he needs to be as do a the vast majority of those out of contract. Forrester is a waste of a wage, like Lainton the bloke is made of glass. It's been some spectacularly bad management the last few years how we've carried 30+ man squads so am glad Aspo has said that's a priority to trim that down for next year.

Can he trim it much though as we haven’t many we can get rid off thanks to Brown handing out two year deals like confetti!

Looks like we’re doing the annual dead rubber on the beach performance ala Swindon, Barnet and Walsall in recent years!

Since all but securing safety three games ago we’ve put in three really pathetic performances now. Granted we’ve got a fair few players not featuring today due to injury, suspension and trying some of the kids but you’d think they’d actually try and earn themselves a chance for next season.

Please tell me Davis isn’t on a two year deal.

Embarrassing effort, showing the work we need to go this summer.

Chill bro. You're simply playing against a stronger side is all.

Yeah which pretty much sums up the complete embarrassment this season has been, barring a big turnaround the worst in nearly half a century!

I think Davis is on a 2 year deal unfortunately. Another one we can thank Michael Brown for.

4-0 down and probably end up worse but who cares. Be nice if Pope could get one just to get him up to 20 for the season. Other than that meh.

Won’t lose sleep on it with the players we’ve put on today but still completely unprofessional at the end of the day. Good for Benns to become the first post millennium born player to play for the club though.

Probably boosts the chance of getting rid of Tonge to be honest!

I’ve not been impressed with the lack of effort since securing safety at all, the travelling fans deserve better and getting tonked for 5 by the likes of Cambridge and Cheltenham isn’t exactly something to be proud off. Sums up a shocking season full of mismanagement last summer and the previous summer though and we have to get it right this time.
