Eyoma can play right back or right centre back, good player and we definitely need someone to play that side.
See what happens, our local radio guy has been told we're after 4 players, goalkeeper, defender, winger and striker. Guess it'll be a mixture of loans and permanent signings.

Well Barton has confirmed Hanlan wants to join Lincoln, it's just the transfer fee holding things up. I wouldn't be bothered but we hardly have any fit strikers currently, and if its a choice of Hanlan or nobody i'd choose Hanlan...just.

Get the feeling he'll only be cover for Hooper but we'll see.

I get the feeling he will be used as more as a winger than a forward IF we sign him.

Agreed, full faith that MA and the staff have watched him and improved him especially if a fee is involved.

TJ Eyoma has signed for us and was announced before the game. He's a real class defender - was outstanding on loan from Spurs last season. That's a bit of a coup, TBH - he could have gone to the championship. Clearly enjoyed himself here.

Chuffed to bag Eyoma. He'll end up being a very good all round CB - he's got a bit of pace about him, an absolute unit, good in the air, decent on the ball. Still a bit inexperienced but I'd be amazed if he wasn't attracting Championship interest again in the next couple of years.

No mention of a fee but I suspect either way it'll be a decent sell-on.

Guessing that'll see Melbourne finally leave in the next couple of weeks. He should pick up a L2 Club but there's no way he's getting in ahead of Eyoma, Walsh, Jackson or Montsma at CB or Edun and Bramall at LB.

I thought Max was much improved last tonight and was a lot quicker and more positive with the ball.

Hopfully Ben Knight will add abit of a spark and abit of creativity into the team. Seems highly rated by City, and came on in the community shield last week.
Looked a decent outlet based on last night I thought.

Yeah he is not a striker. We had to use him in the striker role for much of last season as we only had 3 forwards, and the other 2 were rookies and injured for the start of it

We’ve signed Khanya Leshabela on loan from Leicester City for the season.

Attacking midfielder who’s been on trial at Luton this summer but were ‘priced out’ of a move according to Nathan Jones.

Sounds very promising and another ambitious signing. Just another 3 more needed now.

Jordan Garrick on loan from Swansea. Sounds like a speedster, but we play wing backs not wingers. We only have two fit senior strikers, so wonder if he can play there?

Same person who got Jordan Garrick right on our forum has said we are also in for James Jones from Lincoln :dk:

Jones I'm sure is a possibility as he's well down the pecking order and central midfield is where we have the most cover.

He was one who was severely affected by his Covid bout as well, a shadow of the player that started the season, although it's also probably fair to say he was left behind a little in terms of the improvement of the squad because he was never going to break the Grant/McGrandles/Bridcutt midfield when they were all fit.

Even before the transfers started rolling in, most had earmarked him as being at risk of going out on loan/transfer.

Signed midfielder Daniel Adshead from Norwich on loan, previously of Rochdale but spent last season on loan in the Dutch first division

Strange one, Andre Green is apparently off to Slovak champions Slovan Bratislava. He’s registered as their player on UEFA’s official website and didn’t play midweek.

In all honesty, he never lived up to expectations and was pretty poor for us. We’re still well stocked for wide attacking options, especially with Windass and Shodipo returning soon.

I understand you were in for Akinde
If you agree to take him you can have Tutonda as well, as a freebie.
Who can resist a good BOGOF?

I would happily drive Tutonda back to Bristol he is nowhere near league one standard

Jones gave him a good review after his trial came to a close here certainly and I think would have liked to have kept him around for the season.

I think what he meant by priced out of it was we wanted to have him but as a rotational option whereas the cost of loaning him would have meant we’d be paying him like a player who would need to playing a lot more than he would have been to justify it. Also I think we wanted to sign him permanently rather than a loan so I think that was also a big factor. So didn’t really make sense financially to do it. Showed some nice things in friendlies but against pretty lowly opposition.

Shame, I was really hoping he'd turn it round. He set the world on fire at the beginning but he's such a deer in headlights at time its unreal. Can't fault his effort though, but was absolutely shocked he get a L1 club.

Hows Ehmer getting on?

Max, and I know you are going to find this hard to believe, has been excellent since he returned. He seems to have a great understanding with Jack Tucker and the two of them really seem to compliment each other.
He does what it says on the tin, he makes tackles, wins headers and looks a decent centre half at this level again.
I guess some players just suit certain clubs.
With regards Tutonda, I really don’t want to write him off so soon but I have seen him 4 or 5 times now and he seems hesitant, never seems to read the danger and his distribution has been absolutely awful.

Yeah, it happens with players like Max. Can’t really complain as we’ve had it in our favour too I’m sure. Still hope he fails and you get relegated this season - but I’m pretty over it by now ;)

I always felt Tutonda could maybe do a better job on the wing, do you get the same impression? Also not sure what position you’re playing him in, but he’s a LWB not a LB. surprisingly makes a bigger difference than you’d think for him

Although you might argue he was at fault for our goal, I thought Ehmer was your best player Saturday.

Lowe has said we’ve agreed a deal with a player, who he knows very well. He was with James Jones at Crewe at some point.

Definitely at fault, piss poor clearance. How can he be the best player when he gave away the deciding goal and cost his team a point?
