We've signed LB/LWB Jaden Brown after his release from Sheffield Wednesday. A position we needed to fill with Roughan likely to move inside to LCB this season and not really being a wing back and fitting that system anyway (albeit he was fine as a full back).

Was looking at our squad earlier and we've still got so much work to do.

Good squad player who helped us get promotion but League One definitely his top end, has plenty of pace but his crossing can be somewhat erratic.

According to our local media, we're halfway through our summer recruitment (which is a little concerning in one respect because I think we need more than four more players but we do need bodies in the positions) with the Club targeting CB, CM, Winger, ST.

Well that’s two more we’ve been linked with but got blown out by - El-Mizouni and Chislett. Seems to be the story of our close season so far.

We’re probably a harder sell under an unproven rookie manager than when Ainsworth was in charge though, and I also suspect that we’re working under a reduced budget this season.

I’m expecting a season of averageness this time round, and we’ll certainly struggle to do better than that unless we seriously buck our ideas up on the signing front.

I’m not shitting the bed yet, as I think there’s loan deals to be done later in the window when decent players at Champ sides have fallen down the pecking order and want first team football.

But considering I think we need at least 6 new signings, we really need to pull our finger out.

Good battling midfielder, but he’s got some skill and an eye for a pass as well.

If you can keep him fit, it’s an 8/10 signing, but unfortunately I think that’s a big if.

We were linked with him, but Warne didn’t mention any midfielders when going through players we’re looking to bring in: 1x CB, 1x FB, 3x forwards.

Not sure how genuine our interest was, but definitely liked the look of him from what I saw. It will be good to see how he gets on this season.

Great to see. Surprised we aren't selling him but at the same time, he has a lot of potential and going back to the club he thrived at will hopefully be a great step for his career. I might pop down on the international break seeing as it's only like an hour away.

Just pure rumour at the moment but it's not beyond the realms of possibility having made a few quid from the Forrester sale.

Plus the youth to Newcastle so made around 3-400k this summer I guess gives us more financial power, not like previous owners where the money is never invested, would be a decent signing if we got him plus a couple of decent younger strikers on loan maybe such as Dale Taylor.

Never thought he'd come back. Brilliant news, what a player for us last season. Squad is starting to look quite good and more settled than I expected.
