Nope, heard absolutely zilch rumours re Carey this summer. He’s got very, very young children, his family seems to be settled here and he enjoys playing for Adams.

1 year left on his contract though so if he has another good season we will see how settled he really is. If someone does come in we may have to consider it. Wouldn’t begrudge him a move to the championship at all.

At this time of year, I do not think they would. I say this for two reasons, first that is not enough money to maake a difference and second it would be a kick in the teeth to the players and fans suggesting no ambition for top six. Come back in January and they might see things differently.

On a good day he’s very good, on a bad he’s awful - he’s normally somewhere in the middle but his inconsistency, which is his main flaw meant he was often on the bench here. I like him for me he’s a good squad filler, he covers a lot of ground, has a good engine and all those sort of cliches but I suspect we have essentially swapped fairly naff midfielders.

Our midfield looks weak atm, but he was one of the problems, beeg behind Vincelot shows just how poor he was, i don't really remember his good games but can easily point out his bad.

We need far better, but whether we get it or not is another question.

I can see Crooks signing at some point, who is twice the player Dieng is.

If he plays like he did for Scunny against us I'd say a lot more than twice, although a lot of our fans don't seem to rate him because he had a quite game against us for Northampton.

I'd take him, but I still think we need a more attack minded creative mid as well.

That’s ours and pretty much everyone else’s fansbases’, though - fickle.

I suspect we’ll address that area. The club, and more specifically, the transfer committee, know where they need to strengthen. Still very early days.

The reaction on here of Dieng kinda says he must be okay. He’s left and all the Bradford fans on this forum have said their piece. If he was shit and no one gave a fuck it wouldn’t be a talking point.

Spot on, I would have kept him as a good squad player but he’s never going to be a starter consistently for a decent side up there challenging.

Luke Hyam from Ipswich completed medical yesterday and signing should be announced today or tomorrow. Dru Yearwood, Sam Mantom, Tim Dieng and now Luke Hyam all competing for two CM slots which basically means Mantom, Dieng and Hyam are in for one spot as Dru is guaranteed starter. Squad coming together nicely.
