Hello everybody :bg:
My name is Luca, I'm 20 and I support Juventus. Currently I follow mostly the Serie A, but before my subscription to the digital satellite television expired I used to watch also the Premier League, my favourite english teams were Arsenal and Southampton. These days I've so much dislike for Manchester United and you can imagine why.
That's all, congratulations on your wonderful forum.

Hi and welcome buddy!

It's a bit quiet on this forum at the moment, perhaps because the last few weeks the site has had a lot of problems. You score points for having a dislike of Man Yoo. :2thumb:

Hello Luc! Welcome to the forum!

Hate Man U? Good man  My favourite Italian side is Ascoli - the biancho neri, and have been over there a few times.

Hi Luc@,

welcome here.
An Italian, very interesting.
Italy is our football nemesis (thank god the curse was broken at the Euro).
A fan of Juve? I like the "old lady", too (and that's the only Italian club I like ;) ). I am a fan of Gigi Buffon, a true ambassador of Italian football and I like his passion and his sportsmanship, he's a great guy. And take care of Sami Khedira, please. He's too often injured.

Yeah, I'll be honest: lots of Italians really hate Germany, but personally I don't share this feeling. After all it's just a football rivalry, a very important football rivalry, but it still remains a game. I'm glad you like Juve and Buffon, it's always a pleasure to know that our club is appreciated even abroad. Concerning Khedira, I've wanted him in Juve since 2010 and I think he could be one of the best midfielders in the world, if only he wasn't so physically fragile :(

Only in Football, I hope ;)

I know this feeling, it's the same in Germany. Most German Football Fans really don't like Italy. It began with the World Cup 1970 and 1971 with the infamous incident at one of the greatest matches of a German Team against an Italian Team (Borussia Mönchengladbach vs Inter Mailand 7-1 , which was later anulled due to an can throwing against Boningsegna).

You can't imagine what the Victory at the Euro meant to most of the german football fans. The first time we beat Italy in a tournament (although only on penalties). You could've seen grown men weeping for joy (including me :D ).
We have the utmost respect for the Italian football ( hate is too strong a word therefore I wrote "don't like" above).

Yes I've heard about that "can incident", I'm not surprised, you should konw that Inter is a mass of criminals. They're specialized in falsifying passports, doping their players and stealing someone else's league titles.
Anyway, losing against Germany for the first time in an official tournament was a shock in Italy, but I can imagine your joy because during Euro 2016 we had broken a similar, yet less durable, curse (we had not beaten Spain since 1994).

At least Juventus can be held up as the shining light of the Serie A symbolising everything that is pure in Italian football, eh?

Well, we are a club that was unfairly relegated in the second division and economically ruined. Only six years later we came back to win a Scudetto. Ten years later we are economically solid, we have our own stadium, we dominate the Serie A and we have reached the Champions League final. So yes, nowadays we are the best thing in Italian football. :2thumb:

I remember vaguely this "Manipulation-Scandal" in Italian Football. It was Juve, Lazio and Florenz who were relegated due to this and "Big" AC Milan who was involved, too, could stay in Serie A but wasn't allowed to participate in the Champions League, right? Was it in 2005 or 2006? And Juve had to start the new season in Serie B with a 30 points deduction.

It was in 2006 and the only team relegated was Juve, that also started the new season with a 17 points deduction (then reduced to 9 after the appeal). Milan, Lazio, Fiorentina and Reggina remained in Serie A but started the new season with deductions. Milan was allowed to take part in the Champions League, indeed they won it in 2006-07 season.

Ah, ok. My memory tricked me here a bit (and you can clearly see that I am no expert on Serie A football ;) ) especially about the relegation of the other clubs and AC Milan (a club I really hate besides Inter, of course). So, the other teams could still play at Serie A (with points deducted). And Milan could even play in the CL (maybe Berlusconi and the Mafia bribed the UEFA? ;) )

One question : Wasn't Ibrahimovic at Juve during this time and he left the club due to this ordered relegation? (and some others like Viera, too). And Gigi Buffon stayed, of course.

Yeah Ibra was in Juve but his agent, Mino Raiola also known as the greedy pig, convinced him to move to Inter. Vieira also joined Inter, other players who left us immediately after the scandal were Cannavaro and Emerson (Real Madrid), Thuram and Zambrotta (Barcelona). But I prefer to remember those who stayed: Buffon as you said, Del Piero, Nedved, Camoranesi and Trezeguet. They had lots of offers and they could go anywhere, but they decided to stay and so they became legends of the club.
